The research philosophy that has been used here is positivism research philosophy. As per this philosophical approach, there is a focus on scientific data which is later analyzed. This philosophy helps in an understanding of the social world in an objective manner. Therefore, positivism research philosophy is one of the most effective philosophies that can be utilized within this area of research.
The research design utilized in the study is Descriptive Design. This design helps in providing a proper description of the phenomena that are associated with the population chosen for the study. This design has been utilized as investigates more than one variable associated with the study which provides the readers with a more comprehensive understanding of the research. This is one of the most effective research designs and if utilized effectively can provide good results for the research.
The research approach utilized in this study is Deductive Approach. This research approach is utilized in the study as it helps in explaining the causal relationship between various concepts and variables of the study. This approach is logical as it focuses on linking the major concepts of the study.
The data collection method in this particular research is the Primary Quantitative method. The sampling method in which the students were chosen was Probabilistic Sampling by the researcher. Questionnaires were sent out to them through which the survey was conducted on a secured platform called Net-Q.

The data analysis method chosen for this particular study based on the data collection method includes the Quantitative data analysis method. This method has been included based on the data that has already been made available to the researcher. This method helps in the preparation and assimilation of data as a reference for future researchers.
The philosophy that has been utilized within this particular research paper is a positivism research philosophy. By the utilization of this method, the researcher has been able to attain factual knowledge attained through observation. This research philosophy is focused on explanation and prediction, and facilitating the theory-verification procedure.
The research design that has been utilized here is Descriptive Design. This design is a method through which information can be attained to systematically describe the chosen population and assess the major factors associated with it. This study is cross-sectional research that has been supported by a descriptive design structure.

The primary quantitative method has been utilized in this study as 350 children and adolescents were chosen from psychiatric units of the hospital to collect information from them on certain topics. The simple random sampling method has been utilized here to attain the survey reports from the children regarding their state of trauma after being emotionally abused and to assess the level of harm that it has done to them in the long run.
The Quantitative data analysis method has been utilized in this area of research as it is one of the most suitable measures for primary data sources. This method helps the researcher to make the best out of the available resources and data. This method is concrete as it is objective and relies on absolute data rather than dealing with variables.
The methodologies of both the researches rely on primary data analysis which is one of the major advantages as it deals with certain numbers and not with variables to yield definitive results for the readers. However primary data analysis has some drawbacks as it is quite time-consuming and is cost inducing approach. The participants may also have provided irrelevant answers which may change with time. Therefore the data provided in these research papers may not be deemed reliable by many readers.
For both the research papers deductive approach has been chosen. This approach is quite direct and helps in saving a lot of time for the readers. However, this research method lacks divergent thinking and various approaches to resolving the issues arising. The descriptive research designs help in analyzing the research in-depth within a natural setting. However, this design has not aided in a statistical verification of the problems in the research. The positivism philosophy of both the research methods has deemed the research to be reliable for the readers. It has also helped the researchers by the inclusion of proper patterns and trends within the research. There are certain disadvantages associated with positivism philosophy which include unrealistic analysis of the events of the research.
Changes Noticed as a Result of Emotional Dysregulation in Children
There are certain ethical aspects that have been kept in mind while conducting the research. The Data Protection Act, of 2018 has been implemented within these researches in order to ensure that the researches are protected and that there is no mishandling of the data provided. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has also been implemented within these researches to ensure the confidentiality of the information provided in these research works. It has also been made sure that none of the research works are utilized for commercial purposes. These researches are only utilized for academic purposes in order to help future researchers with the provision of information regarding the similar topic of emotional abuse of children.
The topic of the report is “Emotional Abuse of Children”. This report is focused on analyzing the aspects associated with the emotional abuse of children and its effect on their mental health in the long run. I have analyzed the two research papers based on this particular topic to ensure that the raiders can get a better comparative analysis between the two and therefore attain better information on the topic. A proper exploration of the effect of emotional abuse on the children has been assessed through these journals. A reflection on these two research papers has helped me to make a proposal on the chosen topic. The various methods utilized in the above-mentioned papers have been analyzed thoroughly by me so that I can gain a better insight into the topic which will help me to conduct my research with a lot more experience. A reflection on the statistical data provided through the primary quantitative research approaches for both the research papers has been attained which in turn will help me with my secondary analysis of the aspect. The sensitivity of the topic has been impacted through these papers which focus on both the short-term as well as long-term consequences of emotional abuse on both mental as well as physical health of children.
The research that will be conducted has to be based on the context of all the aspects associated with the damage that emotional abuse causes in children. The long-term effect that emotional trauma has on children and the various mental damages that stems from the abuse will be impacted in the research. The emotional instability caused among the children as a result of the emotional trauma will be discussed within the research. The aspect of PTSD and its impact on altering the personalities of the children will be highlighted in the research. The effect of emotional abuse on children and its effect on their future relationships will also be impacted in the area of study. The ethical aspects and the legal factors to ensure the protection of children have been impacted on global levels. The various acts for the protection of the children will also be highlighted in this particular research work.
The social aspects of the emotional abuse of the children at the hands of their close relatives will be impacted in this research. This factor will be highlighted along with recommendations for stopping emotional violence against children. This topic is very sensitive and therefore the seriousness of the topic will be brought to light in order to raise awareness among the readers and the future researchers. This research focuses majorly on the negative aspect of emotional abuse in children and young adults.
Role of Child Protective Services in Situations of Emotional Abuse of Children

As per the positivism philosophy, factual knowledge can be attained through observation. The main role of the researcher lies in a proper interpretation of the collected data and assimilating them together. This research philosophy will be chosen for this research as it has a more scientific method of analyzing human psychology than the other philosophies. This philosophy also aids in generalizing data and bringing out patterns and trends from particular research. Positivism research philosophy ensures that the data provided in the research is more reliable for the readers. However, there are some drawbacks associated with positivism research philosophy. The research seems to be too unrealistic when set beside the severe complexity of the societal situation. It has to be kept in mind that the unrealistic aspect of this philosophical approach is avoided while conducting the research.
Out of the abductive, inductive, and deductive approaches to research approaches the deductive approach will be considered for this particular research. This approach will be considered for the research as it is generally associated with scientific investigation. The existing theories are analyzed thoroughly and themes are attained from those theories. Therefore, this approach is the best for analyzing the themes associated with the secondary data sources. This approach will be utilized as it is a time-saving method as the researchers can directly get to the point. The theories achieved from the research can be quickly explained with the aid of a deductive approach. However, there are certain disadvantages that the deductive research approach deals with. This approach limits the scope of divergent thinking and creativity. Sometimes false conclusions on grammar rules can also be drawn due to the inclusion of the deductive research approach. It is very important to ensure that the scope of research can be expanded despite the use of the deductive research approach.
There are a plethora of research designs such as explanatory, experimental, observational, and descriptive research designs. Out of so many options, the descriptive research design will be focused on in the research paper. This method has been chosen as it is a faster and easier method to obtain the data from secondary sources. This procedure is also quite cost-effective as compared to the primary data collection procedure. There are a lot of data available about this similar topic which will aid in finding information regarding this particular topic. Despite having a lot of advantages there are a lot of disadvantages associated with the secondary qualitative data collection procedure. This procedure is unable to provide the readers with authentic data as it utilizes the already existing data sources from other journals. The researcher does not have any control over the data and the research may show some level of biasness. There may also be a quality lag in secondary sources of data.
The data analysis method that will be utilized in this research is a qualitative method. Qualitative data analysis is the process of systematic searching and arranging of observational data in order to boost the process of understanding the phenomenon. This method has been adopted in the research as it has a lot of advantages such as it is cost-effective, allowing creativity to be a driving force in research work, and this procedure is open-ended. This procedure also ensures exposure of the researchers to several information from a lot of other resources. There are also a lot of disadvantages associated with this method which have to be taken care of during conducting the research. The qualitative data is not backed by statistical data, this method is only reliant on the experiences of the researcher, it is very difficult to replicate the results and the conclusions which are open-ended can often be misleading.

As this paper will be based on secondary research papers it has to be kept in mind that no content of the paper is similar to that of other papers. Only ideas and concepts can be taken from other papers. It has to be kept in mind that the study is utilized for academic purposes and not for any commercial purposes in the long run. The protection of the information provided in the paper has to be ensured with the aid of the Data Protection Act, 2018, and with the inclusion of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the research process.
