Trigonometry : Sine Rule
Now that you are familiar with how angles work, it’s time to move onto some more special rules! The Sine rule is used when there is at least one angle and its opposite side known. Then with either an extra angle or a side, you can work out the remaining values of a triangle! So how does this work?
The sine rule for find the side is:
All you have to do is sub in the values for A and B and rearrange the equation to work out the remainder! Practice some questions and you’ll get good at it!
We know two sides and one angle, so we can use the sine rule to calculate the remaining angle as we know the opposite side”
4 sin x° = sin 30° 6
sin x° = 3/4
arcsin (x°) = 3/4
x° = 48.59°
