Apple has had a severe crisis of confidence in the way older phones are handled at a slower rate every time a new phone comes along. The phone I am using now, the iPhone 8, is their old product, and after a while, I noticed that the phone was slowing down. So I asked my friends whether they had the same situation or not, and to my surprise, most of them were. Before I complained, it occurred to me that they deliberately slowed down the speed of old phones to get consumers to get rid of old phones as soon as possible and buy new ones to increase their market share.
For their enterprises, the pursuit of profit maximization is understandable, but this practice will affect the user’s trust.
Finally, based on everyone’s decision, we went to the apple store to complain and ask for a reasonable reply. We found the primary owner of a physical store, who reported to the company and decided to pay us a $29 coupon but only for a new phone.
I think their compensation method is too unkind, and I do not understand their compensation method. When I reflect on this issue, I should first avoid radical statements and avoid the majority of the situation and deal with it, to protect myself.
Apple’s lack of trust and violation of ethical business principles can easily lead to their loss of public power. In the past, they had excellent technical systems and kept innovating in product performance, which made competitors like Samsung and Huawei, unable to surpass them.
But in recent years, their sales have fallen sharply, a crisis of confidence that has nothing to do with it. For the enterprise, I suggest that they need a little bit more for the compensation part. And provide repair services to customers who bring in problematic mobile phones. And promised to all consumers, all future mobile phone products will not slow down, to ensure the regular operation of all mobile phone speed and functions.
However, when we are dealing with these moral problems, it is best to consult with our friends, which is more feasible than our approach to the question, because we can first measure and assess the risks. I learned that the development of enterprises needs the support of moral principles of trust and that when we deal with ethical issues, we should first consider the position and consider the seriousness of the consequences. Also, ask for the opinions of people around you. When you pose a significant threat to yourself, you should first keep calm and formulate a set of reasonable solutions to avoid risks and threats.
