Background to the Research Problem
The globalisation is the process of economic integration with the advancement in the field of communication and transport. “The technical advancements are the key channels of globalization” (Buhalis, 2013). The migration of the industry towards the utilization of technology result into the globalization. “The value chain is tremendously increasing by reducing the cost with the effective coordination of information and communication technology” (Tollens, 2015). The factors which are responsible for the growth of globalization in Australia in the manufacturing industry are availability of digital information, development of financial and physical infrastructure, technologies used for computerised manufacturing, bilateral and multi-lateral proliferation of trade agreements, and others.
The factors are responsible for developing disaggregation of supply chain with global network. In this paper we are going to emphasis on the analytical framework which exists between globalization and employment relationship in the manufacturing sector. The employment is affected by the globalization in terms of time policies, industries, and etc. it results into many effects on social, economic, technical, policies, and legal changes. “The flow of trading gets increased with the implementation of globalization” (Shangquan, 2016). The globalization and employment relationship get affected by the static re-allocation of the labour in relation to globalization; the dynamic growth is the major concern in the economic integration in the globalized system, and insertion mode to raise the economy of the system.
1. Background to the research problem:
The impact of globalization can be seen in the developed countries. The manufacturing industries are facing the problem of expenses and losses in Australia which can be resolved with the concept of globalization. The employment rate is get affected with the economic growth through globalization. “The declination of the production can be resolved by moving towards other nation for globalization” (Schmukler, 2015). The manufacturing industries have to focus on the infrastructure to develop global relationship for manufacturing of products. The innovative technology of 3D and internet of things has completely changed the scenario of production by providing the simulation to the developing products to determine the flaws and helps in keeping ahead of the competitors.
The foreign direct investment comes into existence with the development of competitions within nations. The complication in the decision making process is increasingly tremendously. The emphasis should be given on the public private relationship for improving the class of manufacturing. The FDI increases the public funding between nations. It has been analysed that with the growth of pollution, the demand of the resources is at their high extent in comparison to supply of the raw material. The management of supply and demand is the growing concern of the manufacturing industries. The alternate strategies should be development for keeping balance between the two.
The sustainability of the nation depends on the affordability of filling the gap which exists between the demand and supply ratio. The manufacturing companies are looking forward to hire efficient, potential, and skilled staff for managing the resources effectively and providing better result of the organization. The competitive energy policies should be developed by the nations to efficiently manage the operations, logistics, and reliable energy supplies. According to the changing requirement of the manufacturing industries the employees should be hired on the basis of their potential and working capabilities. The improvements in the policies, infrastructure, and use of Information and communication technologies keep them ahead of the competitors.
Problem Definition
The use of information and communication technologies can expedite the demand and supply of the products between the population of the nation. “The creative ideas help in developing innovative ideas to flourish the workforce in the right direction” (Moonen, 2013). The gaps of manufacturing should be filled for improving the profit of the organization. “The companies are moving towards globalization by transforming their working tactics for increasing the expansion of manufacturing of the product which in turn increases the growth of the enterprise” (Bilbao, 2016).
2. Problem Definition
The management problem can be identified as:
What is the role of the government is providing subsidies and help in taxes for the manufacturing industries?
II. Research problem:
The research problem can be identified as
How the economic rate of the country gets affected by the globalization?
How to manage the effect of globalization on the employee rate in the manufacturing industries?
What are the changes can be seen in the manufacturing industries
How the challenges faced by the manufacturing industry can be overcome and resolved?
The purpose of the research is to focus on the trends that the growth of the job opportunity increases with the development of manufacturing infrastructure. The innovation and creation is required for the advancement in manufacturing industries in the developed countries like Australia. The objective of the research is to focus on:
- The policies of the government which helps manufacturing industries.
- Globalization effect on the economic growth of the country
- Management of globalization and employee rate in the manufacturing industries
- Changes required in the manufacturing industries
- challenges faced by the manufacturing industry
- Resolution to challenges faced by the manufacturing industry
“The prosperity of the nation can be increased with the advancement in the manufacturing industries” (Roddrick, 2013). The accumulation of growth of knowledge, infrastructure, and capabilities increases the complexity of the manufacturing industries. The innovation and creation is required for the advancement in manufacturing industries in the developed countries like Australia. The sustainability of the nation depends on the affordability of filling the gap which exists between the demand and supply ratio. “
The capability of the enterprise depends on the policies and procedures used for using the resources effectively and efficiently” (Xiang, 2015). The economic development of the nation depends on the globalization in the manufacturing industries. “The manufacturing hub should be created for the utilization of new products and resources in the right direction” (Wuest, 2012). The navigation and gathering the information from the market research helps the industries to take competitive advantage.
The FDI helps in increasing the GDP of the nation which can be done by the Globalization of the resources. “The relocation of the industries in the global market gives the positive impact on te economic condition of the nation” (Kenyon, P. (2017). The government controls provide relaxation and deregulation to the economies for managing demand and supply ratio.
The policies of the government which helps manufacturing industries:
From the research and analysis, we find that government can help the manufacturing industries in the following way:
- -The development of stable environment for the macro-economic with the inclusion of low inflation and the positive growth in economic sustainability.
- The manufacturing industry can take loan from the banking sector with the availability of satisfactorily credits
- Better transportation links should be developed for reducing the infrastructure costs.
- The productivity and efficiency of the labour can be improved by arranging the education and training program.
- The geographical mobility helps in increasing the performance of the labour
- Unnecessary rules and regulation should be removed
- The development of environment to promote awareness about training and development program.
- Subsidies should be provided for using tools and technologies within the enterprise for increasing the growth of productivity
- Over-valuation should be avoided
- Providing low tax rates
Management of globalization and employee rate in the manufacturing industries:
The innovation and productivity brings the economic shift in the manufacturing industries which help in promoting the growth and employment within the country. The more services can be initiated with deployment of operational unit in the environment of globalization. The recession period can be overcome by hiring the more employees from other nation to increase the productivity of the manufacturing industries. The faster growth in the services due to the global competition opens the door for the employment.
Research Problem
Globalization effect on the economic growth of the country
The effects of globalization on the economic growth of the country are categorised as development of more efficient markets for striving with economy, the equilibrium should be maintained between the goods and services provided to the customers and the productivity of the organization. The increasing competition is the good sign for the customers as they will be provided with good quality of goods and services. “The security mechanism should be developed for globalization. The equilibrium of the wealth can be developed over the world” (Erlang, 2014).
Changes required in the manufacturing industries:
From the research we can determine that there are five major domains of the manufacturing industries which requires changes which can be categorised as the global innovations launched for improvement in the local market, regional processing, commodities which are resource intensive, global innovative technologies, and mechanism for improving the labour condition.
Challenges faced by the manufacturing industry
Challenges which are faced by the manufacturing industry in the global environment are traceability and regulation for increasing compliance, innovation for the development of the products, and the manufacturing gaps can be filled by hiring the skilled and talented staff from all over the world. “The desirable condition for working should be provided to the labour staff” (Lee, 2016). The equipment should be used which are well-efficient in increasing the productivity of the enterprise.
Resolution to challenges faced by the manufacturing industry:
The adequate investment should be done in the manufacturing industry in the department of research and development. The study of global competition helps in estimating the cost of the product at the global glance. The creativity and innovation attracts the customers to buy the product at higher price. The government should develop policies framework for uplifting the marketing scenario globally. Subsidies should be provided by the globalization for using tools and technologies within the enterprise for increasing the growth of productivity.
