Week 5 Activity Perception
The Logan movie is a blockbuster because of what the superhero genre has delivered over the past several decades. The movie is all about a modern superhero and the final act comprises of the apocalyptic explosions. The fight choreography in Logan feels like it has a fluid flow and is gorgeous just not like the other computer generated effects. The characters in the movie can easily be identified with oneself and it is considered a great super hero movie for any genre. The movie has more echoes and the way it deconstructs the line between the legend and the hero. The hero in this film is regarded as the Western archetype that has a gunslinger to put away the six shooters and continues to work on its daily basis. the movie has some fantastic chasing scenes that is in the second half of the movie and it does not feel like the film stops when it takes a break to set the pieces that is usually done in any superhero movie. The film of George Miller at a certain point seems like a road movie when Professor X, Logan and the mysterious girl drive to find the place called Eden and from this place, the escaped mutants are going to start over again. The movie has no hyper active editing or overhead the various shots in order to disguise. The movie can be termed as a game changer and hence is a rare blockbuster in that aspect. The philosophy and the theme of the film is an important part to note the overly intellectual and the overwritten part. The action scenes in the movie have a power to connect with most of the action hero movies.
The great workplaces in UK and in Europe motivate and encourage their employees in a great way that makes this organization prosper. Week 6- Motivation
The elements for a successful team work that has been identified by Hackman is to make small teams that has a consistent membership to minimize the different types of the co ordination that might take up a lot of valuable time. Some organizations often set project based teams that needs to be reconfigured by considering the stages of the group development. The team needs to consider the project based teams and consider the stages of the group development that may occur before it achieves the full performance. These performances are important in building an effective team that may have a courageous and an assertive leader who has the power to invoke the authority even at times when the team resists the direction.
The other condition that is necessary in making the teams effective is to make a change in the top management systems that were initially disruptive in making it establish the changes in order to make a consistent leadership team. Often the result is the excessive turbulence and lack of the strategic vision. Often it is seen that the more work is done in a compressed way that none of the employees can accomplish. Hence it is wiser, to consider the best heed of the advice provided that ensures the team less than the sum of the part.
The steps that could have been taken in order to make the team avoid the problems that has been identified by Hackman is to make the team small and minimize the amount of the co ordination of the tasks. I will make them work in small groups with co ordination amongst each other

The differences between the trait and the behavioral theory is that the later is all about the rejection that may be the inborn virtue or potential and the later is all about the various effectiveness that is based on the individual characteristics and the former is about the effectiveness in an individual characteristic (Clarke 2013). The approaches of the traits are that it considers the intellectual, physical, social and the personality that helps in differentiating the leaders from the non leaders. The traits are considered the virtue theory in the leadership that stresses on a certain set of personality markers that are often set apart from the followers. The behavioral theory is all about the no born leaders that is trained and can be taught and developed. The behavioral theory is all about setting goals that needs to be developed by the leaders and the trait theory is all about selecting the leaders. The trait leaders must possess a certain innate and inherent quality whereas the behavioral is all about democratic style in the quality. The focus is on the actions of the leaders in the behavioral theory whereas in the trait theory the focus is on the mental quality. Both the theories are valid in their own terms in their business fields and it depends on the quality of the leaders.
Week 7 Activity (Group Behavior and Team at work)
The organizations develop and select an effective leader through ones integrity and good ethical practices. The good intentions and the morals of the leaders needs to be well lead and from their face the wrongdoing can easily be caught but confrontation must be held. In most of the productive organizations it is seen they are typically proactive than their peers when it comes to development and identification of their effective leaders. People should be encouraged in order to develop their full potential powers. Adaptability, communication, relationship building are some of the common managerial and the leadership success traits. A good example of it can be to set the employees with proper training and guidance that will eventually help them in their long run.
If I were Samantha Parks, I would prioritize the project or the parts of the project to the delegate by proposing it to the top level executives in order to stay close in the creative core of the business. That means that there is a need to propose it to the top level of the experts so that they become a close creative core in their business. Too much involvement should be avoided so that the management people do not lose their importance and they it will help them in better understanding of how the business really works.
Parks can only deal with these concerns when she will not allow all the important decisions to be taken by the other employees. She can maintain her position by handling all the important factors and the decisions that might have a greater impact in the organization. She can make her workload little less by giving the less important work and the decisions to the capable employees so that those might not affect the organization in a greater way. In this way, the words said by Parks can also be kept and no misuse of it can be done even.
The executives needs to control those projects that cannot be handled by the rest inexperienced employees in the organization. Since the management, people are much more experienced and have more power and capability than the rest of the inferior employees in the organization. So, it’s better if the executives try to control the projects and maintain their authority position. It is good that they have the solo right to control all the projects so that they can be on the loop for the important decisions so that they can easily be in charge of it.
Week 8 Activity (Leadership)
There are some tasks, which should always be done by the top management executives and should never be delegated to others. There is a need for them to focus on the much important decisions that will ensure that they can control the functions very well. Anything important with respect to the organizational point of view should have severe an impact should always be done by them.
In order to ensure the sufficient discussion of the contentious issue in the work group there is a need to speak what is possible and be involved in a compelling and an uncertain way. Firstly, there is a need to ensure that the stakes are sufficient and actually, the warrant is a disruption. There is also a need to focus on the future conflicts that needs to be resolved anyhow rather than the one that needs to be blamed.
The negotiators use the conflict management strategy that works as an advantage to the strategy that makes a difference in the interests by dropping the old way of handling the schedule. There is a need to manage the principles of the conflict that helped the organization to adopt more sophisticated system that will help in recovering its competitive position. Hence it managed to move from the worst food company to a recognizable position.
In my personal life it once happened that the silence between me and my friend became very defeaning. The silence was so loud that it almost bought our friendship on the verge of break. But somehow we both gained courage and tried to sort it out one day after which no situation like this occur. The silence worsened our situation because if we spoke or argued there were chances for the things to get sorted. There is a need for open communication that will upheld ones interaction skills with one another. Open communication is always better as one gets the choice to do and talk whatever in front of another.
The three sustaining innovations that have affected me over the past few years are:
The use of the cell phone in a rapid phase has affected me a lot from the last year. The radiation that comes out from the cell phone has affected me a lot and my use has increased.
The use of the gadgets have increased from the last year, as I have bought another luxury electronic that has affected me is the music player. I always plug my headphone in it and this hampers my ear.
The use of the refrigerator is another one, as the temperature increased I always drink cold water and this is eventually affecting my health.
The three disruptive innovations that have affected me are:
The demand for the latest I phone has increased my demand and eventually this has affected me a lot.
The watch that measure our calories and it vibration on a certain level and that is a signal to us. This vibration has a negative affect on us and the radiation is much high.
I firmly belief that the group behavior and the leadership styles are somewhat inter related to one another. Ones interpersonal skills is dependent on the various factors like ones choice or his leadership ideology. The various aspects about how the team should work has been explained and that helped us in analying the drawbacks which when put in much effort might get solved. The distruptive innovations along with the sustainable one has made an impact on me from the last year and this will help me to understand the organizational changes that is taking place day by day. The trait theory in the leadership theory has helped to understand its differences with another leadership theory that is the behavioral theory. Both the trait and the behavioral theory are similar but has some of its characteristic that is just the opposite of one another and in a leader both the presence off the skills is required.
