First incident
Discuss about the Organizational Management for ABC Company Pvt. ltd.
I used to work as a project manager in ABC company pvt. ltd., an apparel company, where the organization was looking forward to undertake a fashion based project “fashionista”. I was required to undertake the overall functions of the project relating to planning, organizing, leadership and controlling of the different parameters. I noticed that there are different issues that are faced by the employees while performing in a team due to lack of coordination and cooperation among the members. In this situation, I took steps to interact with the employees and thereby identify the issues, which helped me to formulate strategies of mitigating the issues that are faced by the employees while working as a team. I planned to identify the issues and thereby took steps to organize the workforce and motivate the same to achieve the common objective of the business. The mitigation of the issues helped me to undertake the smooth performance of the workforce aimed at achieving the objective of the project. Controlling the different risk factors and the contingencies helped me to get the work done more systematically.
The leadership role that I played as the project manager helped in the proper functioning of the teams. The coordination of the team members played a major role in the accomplishment of the project that was initiated by me. The different issues that are faced by the people while working on the project is affected through the lack of coordination among the members of the team. Therefore, I took steps to undertake interactions with the different employees and encourage the same to work in different working conditions. The analysis of the changes and the manner in which they might be facilitated as per the model of the business has helped me in bringing forth changes in the systems of the functions that was planned by me. I undertook steps to control and monitor over the different elements of the functions as it helped me to define the different goals which the teams must consider to facilitate proper functioning of the project.
The evaluation of the critical issues that was faced by the workforce helped me in formulating different strategies that will be helping the employees to function as per the needs of the organization. On the other hand, the delineation of the goals helped me to make the employees aware of the respective inputs that they were required to give to the success of the project in the market. The interactions that I undertook with the team members helped me to bring in changes in the different issues and thereby facilitate the smooth performance of the teams as per the goals of the organization. The planning – organizing of the different resources and the allocation of the job responsibilities among the team members helped me to achieve the goal of successfully implementing the project.
Analysis
I have been working in the Luminol Company for around a year as the business head of the branches in the south-west Caribbean zone. The company was headquartered in Zurich and all the decisions for the smooth functioning of the systems were made from the headquarters. It affected the productivity of the organization due to the time that was taken to communicate the issues that were faced by the branches and the members of the council assessing the issues. Therefore, I took steps to write to the CEO of the organization and making the person aware of the issues due to lag of productivity through the delay in the decision- making systems of the business. It brought about a change in the systems undertaken by the business and the management structure. The identification of the different issues and the application of planning, organizing, leadership and controlling measures has helped me in bringing forth modifications in the system of the business in the market.
My role to bring in the change in the processes of the decision making is supported through the planning for the change which is based on the identification of the issues that are faced by the workforce in maintaining the rates of productivity as per the objectives of the organization. The key purpose of the change in the processes helps in maintaining the productivity of the business in the market. The different leadership roles has helped me in enumerating the different aspects of the change in the functioning of the business and its productivity as per the objectives of the business.
The critical issues that were faced by the pe4ople while4 maintaining their levels of productivity apart from the late decision making and implementation is resolved through the idea of decentralizing the management of the organization and the distribution of power to the different branches. It has helped me in bringing forth changes through evaluation of the benefits of the idea and the manner in which the idea fits in to the systems as per needs of the organization in the market. The change in the processes is dependent on the evaluation and the prediction of the positive results that can be derived through the change in the systems of the business in the market.
The management of the organizations helps in facilitating and implementing changes in the system of the business in the market. The key elements of the change in the functioning of the business is facilitated through the identification of the issues that are faced by the employees and the manner in which the issues can be mitigated through the application of sound strategies (Mahmood, Basharat and Bashir 2012). The proper management of the organization encourages the systematic functioning of the businesses in the market and thereby brings in changes in the situations of the same. The identification of the change needs of the organization has helped in the proper functioning of the businesses in the market.
Critical evaluation
The purpose of the report is to focus on the different theories of management and thereby cite an example of an organization, which utilized the management theories to bring in changes in the systems and the performance of the business in the market.
Scientific management is a theory of management, which focuses on analyzing and managing the workflow and thereby enhances the productivity of the organization while operating in the change that is designed for the market. The key elements of the change in the structure and the performance of the business are dependent on the systematic functioning of the workforce as per the objectives of the organization. Spender and Kijne (2012) stated that the application of the concepts of science and engineering in the management processes is initiated through the scientific management theory which was proposed by Taylor. The different elements of the change in the structure and the functioning of the firms are facilitated through the smooth functioning of the workforce as per the objectives of the business in the market. The differences in the approaches help in exemplifying the issues that are faced by the workforce and the manner in which they are mitigated to enhance the performance of the employees. Bell and Martin (2012) observed that the proper application of the theory on the model of the organizations helps the same in bringing forth changes in the productivity and the situation of the business while operating in the international markets.
The administrative theory by Fayol is focused on bringing forth changes in the theory proposed by Taylor and thereby helps in enhancing the functioning of the management as per the identification of the needs of the organization while operating in the international markets. The five steps of the theory facilitate in the decision- making functions of the organization and thereby undertake enhanced management steps to improve the situation of the organization in the market. The theory constitutes of planning, organizing, commanding, coordinating and controlling.
The planning stage helps in predicting the outcome of the management steps that are undertaken by the organization (Huarng and Ribeiro-Soriano 2014). It helps in forecasting the different risks that might be faced by the organization while undertaking the change in the systems of the business. On the other hand, the organizing stage helps in maintaining the different levels of change in the structure of the business to cope up with the different trends that are prevalent in the market. Sapru (2013) stated that the commanding stage helps in implementing the change in the systems through the orders that were placed over the employees. Coordinating with the work force helps in bringing forth the change in the systems and the performance of the workforce. It helps in enhancing the productivity of the organization. Ehiobuche and Tu (2012) stated that unlike the Taylor’s management law Fayol’s law helps in involving the workforce in the processes that are planned by the business. Controlling the actions helps in maintaining the different elements of the change in the systems and thereby brings in improvements in the organizational structure and performance.
Uber has taken steps to implement the scientific theory in order to enhance the productivity of the organization without considering the benefits of the employees. The different key elements of the change in the structure and the performance of the business are dependent on the productivity of the workforce (Canina, Palacios and Devece 2012). Therefore, the organization stresses more on the economic enhancements other than the regarding the concern for the employees in the market. According to an employee, the organization levies high pressure on the employees to enhance their productivity without providing the employees with additional monetary and other benefits, which demoralizes the efforts given by the employees Killen et al. (2012).
Therefore, from the above analysis it may be stated that the identification of the managme4net theory and the proper implementation of the same on the organizational structure helps the organizations to bring in changes in the performance of their undertakings.
