Research Methodology
Question:
Discuss about the Qualitative research and evaluation method.
In case of hotel industry outsourcing is one of the productive jobs that deliver significant effect in case of organizational productivity. There are so many factors related to outsourcing process and the level of production will increase through the process. In Australia, outsourcing in hospitality sectors are one of the trending jobs that people want to involve with and the company is also sectioning different departments so that effective care and handling can be initiated. There are lots of companies that are doing this outsourcing of employees in an esteemed manner and all the reputed hotels are applying the process in an effective manner. Managing customers, handling the complex situation, booking allocation, another accommodation facility, travel booking, online money transfer all these processes are manageable for 24*7 process. This is the positive part of outsourcing and customers can rely on these facilities.
The paper explained the direct application of outsourcing in the hotel and how it evolves the service standard of the hotel industries. The topic is very specific and concentrating on outsourcing process and techniques. The diverse problem, mitigation and situation had been discussed in this paper along with the views of managers from different hotel companies. The process would analyze the views of outsourcing and practical impact of that in the hotel industry.
Knowledge engagement and the organized process have been collected in the form of methodology. The body of methodology consists of research philosophy, approach, the design of the research. All these aspects seem to be the pillar of research from which the analysis of the research will come and conclude in a systematic way. In this research process, the qualitative process has been used by the researcher. Interview questions have been asked of managers or executives of different hotel companies and along with that secondary research process has used where information has been taken from different books and articles (Spradley, 2003). In case of research philosophy post-positivism philosophy has been selected and research strategies have been chosen in form of case studies and ethnography.
In this research philosophy, post-positivism philosophy had been used by the researcher. In case of post-positivist critical realistic reorganization is important and the theory is revisable. The reality of understanding something in an ethical way is done in positivism also but acceptance of those theories and influenced by the values and the background of the research was the most important part of them. In case of this research process, analysis of the background of the research, post-positivism is the best way to influence the research. Both the primary and secondary research process has been used in this research process. Involvement of shared understanding of reality and the proper conducting of a role of a researcher is the best way to furnish the research.
In this research, a case study has been used as the secondary research process. Most of the outsourcing process, improvement, innovation all these sections are highlighted in case studies from different countries. These case studies are approaching on the case history of the variable and their state of identification in that time. The group of individual and the specific idiographic approach has been identified by the researcher in this case. This is a process of inductive approach is relevant in that case. The solid reference can be made from the case study and creativity in problem-solving ability and the tables and charts also highlighting the basic commercial principle of the skills (Patton, 2002).
Diverse Problems and Mitigation
Ethnography process was also used by the researcher. The systematic study of people and culture is the most important part of the exploring society or group. In this case, from the field of the case study, some information and the analysis would be collected as a form of better knowledge, however, the depending part of research is also forecasted on the ethnography also where a graphical representation of group culture and reflect knowledge to form them is the correct manner of analyzing the research. In case of ethnic groups, formation and composition substantial composition of research towards the social goal is the right manner of symbolism.
Population sampling is a process where the understanding of the subject and the representation of entire population is considered as the uniform one. The sampling process has been done to find out the analytical findings and understand the situation that testing process has been proceeding. The validity, reliability, and trust of their experience are the most important part of this sampling process.
In this research process, non-probability sampling process had been used by the researcher. The reason behind this sampling method is the research strategies where case study or ethnology processes were chosen for the formation of the research. The sampling method is non-probability purposive. The reason behind purposive is the intention of doing the process and in case of an intentionaloutbreak, no force had applied over the respondents to attend the interview (Lincoln & Guba, 1985). From their views and understandings, a result driven situation can be analyzed. Purposive or the intentional situation help to understand the system in a proper way and a judgmental view can be derived in this section. 10 managers had been selected at the initial stage only 1 manager showed his willingness to attain the interview and all open-ended questions were asked to them and explained their view and understating over the outsourcing issues. Only just 1 manager was considered as the sample of the research. The interview process had been taken where 16 questions were asked by the researcher and all these questions were highlighting the variable and their impact on outsourcing in hotel industries.
Data had been collected in the form of face to face interview where researcher went every place and collected these answers. The process was long and productive enough to reach the finding of the research in an ethical way. In form of written version, recording or transcription process and observation data had been collected by the researcher. However, in this paper, all the forms are considered in written version and from this analysis actual result can be driven. All questions are open-ended so the manager uses some statistical data to support their opinion. The overall views of the managers are stated positivity of the factor but there are some negative approaches too and that encourages the drawback application of outsourcing. Data had been collected from the secondary resources also.
In case of qualitative data analysis method, noticing, collecting and thinking about the data is the interesting form of understanding the reflection of research. The description names that had found through the research were considered as codes. As the process was considered as non-linear process the process could be recursive. The conceptual data analysis and coding techniques were the important part of this analysis that helps in the analyzing part to expose the meaning of the research (Sekaram&Bougie, 2013). Building concept over the situation and evolve some abstract concepts were not applicable to some open-ended questionnaires would state something impactful that can state the research conclusion and find as well. (Refer to Appendix)
If all the collected data are considered as code and analyzed line by line or word by word then an in-depth concept build-up of strategy can be taken, which can be considered as open coding. Situation analysis and building the thinking process was under this process and that analyses the concept of entire document.
In case of Axial coding, easier understanding and relationship with open coding is important in that case. The practitioner movements and the participants’ responds were graphically represented in that case and that axial movement is of research was related to that matter. In case of linking earlier cases and events this kind of axial coding movement was important.
Some of the ethics were maintained during the research process. At first, all the secondary research had been used were ethically maintained and that is the reason their literature views are cared and processed in an ethical way. Participants were not forced to do the interview or no such manipulation of the data occurred in that case. The adequate level of confidentiality was also maintained in that case and the entire respondent’s name was stated as secret. The biased view was not presented in research and that is the reason more impactful process came as finding.
There are some limitations also in this research. The first two limitations are time and money. Enough time was not there to cover the entire process in a classified way and in case of collecting interviews of managers a rush situation had happened at that moment. Money is another obstacle that created problem to the researcher and that is the reason some of the books that would be more relevant to the occasion are not studied due to inefficient money. Some of the relationship and mannerism is creating a problem or people participation was another reason of limitation in that case, so the research would be furnished in a better way if all these perspectives were addressed in an efficient way.
Conclusion
Therefore it can be concluded that all these methodological strategies are used in this chapter and through the chapter directive findings can be acknowledged. Research design, approach, and data analysis parts are handled in a subsequent way. In case secondary research method, some of the books are very relevant in that case through them in-depth knowledge of outsourcing has -been taken by the researcher. Open-ended questions also declare the same direction that research procedure is identifying in the paper.
