Kerzner,(2013) illustrated that following the detailed process and techniques for ensuing the quality of the project management allows in retaining the satisfaction of the clients. In this particular project, the quality and standard of the live concert, proper management, organization, advertising and proper publicity of the concert needs to be ensured for customer satisfaction.
Quality Planning: Various qualities and standards has been identified for organization of the live concert that are illustrated as follows:
- the tickets will be easily available to the customers;
- proper sitting and water arrangement will be provided in the venue;
- the venue will be easily accessible by public location and can contain over thousand viewers;
- the organization and management of the live concert will be efficiently completed within the provided budget;
Quality Assurance: The project manager involved in the “Artist X” have developed detailed planning and baseline for cost and schedule. For assuring the quality of the concert, the project manager needs to continuously monitor the work progress while defining the acceptable standard for selecting the appropriate venue, selection of proper advertisement channel and baseline for selling tickets for ensuring minimum profit from the concert (Martinsuo, 2013).
Quality Control: The project manager needs to develop regular audit for monitoring the proper cash flow of the project (Yeheyis et al., 2013). In addition to that, the project manager needs to have authority of approving any plan or procedure for selecting venue and advertising process for the live concert.

Selling of less ticket |
The selling of ticket is mostly affected by the venue of the concert and the type of advertisement to the viewers (Reddy et al., 2014). In this project, the project manager needs to ensure that all the proper channel for sharing the information are used. Apart from that, proper and efficient |
Dropping out of support act at the last minute |
During the recruitment of the support performer for the live show, detailed contract needs to be signed for performance (Pemsel & Wiewiora, 2013). In case of emergency, the project manager needs to provide alternative musician to fill up the place. |
Underage drinking at the concert venue |
The live concert venue at the Liars must not allow underage drinking. Before proving entry to the venue, proper id should be checked. In addition to that, the coordinator at the venue should ask for age if proof before providing alcohol (Schwalbe, 2015). At the entry, the person with drinking age should be provided with special bank at their wrist for easy identification. |
From the analysis of the project and the plan, it has been identified that the project can be associated with various risks that are both avoidable and non-avoidable in nature (Peppard, & Ward, 2016). Therefore, the project manager should work for eliminating and reducing the impact of the risks from the project. Therefore, an alternative plan needs to be developed in case of various risk impact the project and results in over budget and delay of the live concert at Liar.
For the management, control, monitoring and scheduling of the live concert of Artist X, MS Project Software application has been utilized. The application of The Microsoft Project provides better and easy collaboration of the project activities and resources in offline mode (Mir & Pinnington, 2014). Furthermore, Microsoft project provides detailed visualization of the project activities and duration while highlighting the critical path that allows better understanding and monitoring of the project schedule (Ranger, Reeder & Lowe, 2013). Apart from that, MS project provides better and easy allocation of the resources and project team working in the project (Verburg, Bosch-Sijtsema & Vartiainen, 2013). Therefore, the use of MS project has provided easy integration, collaboration and reliability of the project planning.
Schedule, Cost and Quality Identification, Management, and Control
Conclusion
The detailed plan for scheduling, budgeting and controlling the risks has been developed and presented for the organization of the live concert for artist X. The application of he project management theories and concepts allows easy identification of the project scope and deliverables that needs to be met for the project completion. Furthermore, the development of the WBS structure has allowed in the easy development of the project schedule and Gantt chart while estimating the accurate time required for completion of each sub-activity. Further, the application of the project management strategy has allowed in the identification of the possible risks associated with the organization of the live concert and provides relevant mitigation and control strategy.
