Performance Measurement
Performance management involves a varied types of management and organisation technique. Primary techniques involved include evaluating performances of individuals as well as various process. It collects data and then analyses information in regards to performance of group, system, individuals, components and so on. It encompasses processes within the organisation such that performance can easily be quantified. An organisation devices either a Balanced Scorecard or a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) such as to measure performances for various parameters. Collected data is tabulated and then compared to appropriate benchmark such that either lag or at par or above average performance can easily be diagnosed. Key aim behind measuring of performance is to ascertain that the organisation complies with goals and aims as designed by the organisation. Performance measure incorporates an valuating technique in measuring performance within an organisation and then subsequently revising the same for future use such that the organisation can progress.
Personal behavior, Self-awareness and Personality traits identification
Individuals or employees within an organisation conducts action based on organisational culture and work plan as designed for them. Job design along with organisational culture determines ways in which employees of an organisation conducts themselves. Personal behavior is further motivated by leaders who guide his followers towards achievement of organisational goals. While recruiting an employee within an organisation, it sis the responsibility of the HR department to provide various inputs regarding conduct and behavior of the employee. According to which personal behavior needs to be developed and conducted.
Self-awareness is an aspect by which an individual becomes aware of one’s personal self. Self-awareness is one of the highest levels of achievement in any motivational behavioral theories.
Personality trait identification can be done using self-analysis or reflective tools. There are various tools which enable diagnosing of such personality traits as Johari Window, Big Fiver personality trait, ESCI questionnaire and so on.
A personal development plan
A personal development plan is a method or a tactics in order to overcome challenges faced by way of review in personal assessment. A personal development plan is aimed at overcoming relevant issues and achieving success in career or professional endeavor.
Personal Goal Setting
Personal goal setting is a methodology whereby an individual sets targets for attaining goals and objectives set for one’s personal or professional career. Personal Goal Setting enables an individual chart out path for progress and methodologies to attain the same.
Time
Time organisation includes varied methodologies that are incorporated for management of diversified work within a specified time framework. Time organisation is critical for attaining desired objectives within specific or stipulated time frame.

1b What networks do you participate in and why do you network there?
I participate in network with ex-University graduates. There is a social group of ex-graduates that meet once in two weeks, I participate in such group meeting regularly. I network in the group to find job offers, new challenges that they face at work and to know regarding the latest trends in industry. Networking has opened my vision to various job prospects and created unique job opportunities for my, that I can apply.
1c How do you ensure that you are a positive role model in the workplace?
It is very integral that a positive role model is depicted at the workplace. In order to ensure a positive role model, I need to depict always-positive attitude towards work, work in a motivated manner and finish work within a particular period. I need to communicate in a positive manner and demonstrate positive attitude towards team mates and other individuals at work. All these endeavors will be used to create a positive workplace atmosphere and depict myself in a positive role model.
1 d How do you ensure that you maintain your personal performance in varying work conditions, work contexts and when contingencies occur?
It is integral that personal performance and professionalism is depicted throughout in work contexts even in case contingencies occur. Such personal performance can be depicted in a committed manner through a disciplined approach. Though at many instances there will be situations that does not allow to work or create hurdles, my vision needs to look beyond the same for greater achievements. My dedication, hard-work and commitment to long-term goals will allow me to ensure professional output every time.
1e How do you know when your stress levels are rising and how do you manage this?
Managing stress level is important as it might hamper quality of work. To know when stress levels are rising, I have ascertained a performance level. When I am unable to complete work scheduled in time or attain particular performance levels, I can understand that my stress levels are rising highly. In order to manage stress levels, firstly I maintain silence to compose myself. Later, I undertake regular meditation classes such that I am able to control my mind and exert influence over my decisions.
1f What plans have you made to progress your career in this or another organisation in both the short and the long term?
Time Organization
I am to become a leader in whichever organisation that I work for. I believe I am a visionary and have capabilities to attain long-term success or bring about a positive change in the organisation. My present organisation offers immense scope for training and up gradation such that I am able to progress in my professional career. In the present organisation professional path is well chalked out hence I can see myself gradually progressing from one step to the other. After talking to my employer regarding my professional goals, he discussed ways and means in which I could attain the same in the organisation. However, there are several trainings that I need to undertake, in leadership and management for attaining roles that are more senior. Skills that I possess needs to be further enhanced by way of developing them further through training and hard work. My knowledge however needs to be increased by undertaking several professional courses that are available in the industry.
1g Explain the different types of learning style/s and how they relate to you.
There are multiple styles of learning and techniques which individuals imply. Different styles may be applied in varied situations while some might find a style easier to follow compared to others. There are seven different learning styles as visual or spatial by use of images, pictures or spatial understanding. Aural or audio-musical learning styles that might arise from sound and music. Verbal or linguistic learning style, which makes use of writing and speech. Physical or kinesthetic learning style associated with body, hands, senses of touch and so on. Logical or mathematical learning style by usage of logic, reasoning and systems. Social or interpersonal learning styles which happens in groups. Solitary or intrapersonal learning style that happens alone or by use of self-study techniques. I can relate to learning style of social whereby I have learned in groups or at office team. Verbal learning style which is the way of learning which has been applied while our learning at the University. Lastly, intrapersonal learning style wherein I have learnt for assessments using self-study techniques and methods.
1h Understanding your learning style, describe work methods and practices that can improve personal performance.
Learning styles has an important role in determining effectiveness in work methods and procedures. I am a fast learner, which is a positive aspect that I have. This fast learning allows me to lean various knowledge and skills easily and then deliver work procedures accordingly. My work methods and practices are greatly influenced by learning styles. It has allowed me to adapt to environment in a fast manner and overcome various hurdles as well as challenges faced. However, such learning styles has no connections with mistakes made, as I frequently make various errors in work procedures. Work methods and practices that can improve personal performance is by analyzing of work procedures in a better manner. Taking instructions from managers and leaders and then developing a plan for action will allow to accommodate increased personal performance. Further inclusion of time table for allowing segregation and division of work can allow achieving of work targets in a better manner. Personal performance can be increased by way of delegating appropriate time schedules to particular work procedures. Such work procedures will help accomplish personal targets and increase performance standards.

One of my major short-term goal is to become a team leader within my current organisation. I aim to become a team leader by continuously achieving and over-exceeding my targets. I need to prove my dedication to my manager through continuous hard work and dedication. Within 6 months period, I have aimed to achieve this goal which is a short duration hence, I need to make all efforts that can help me exceed my peers in regards to my performances. I will practice self-motivation such that I am easily able to achieve my goals and objectives; and not get disheartened at any point of time. Through motivated efforts and continued learning, I will be able to achieve my goals of becoming an extraordinary team leader.

2b Explain how these goals relate to your current work role, responsibilities and accountabilities.
Short-term goals are for achievement in the near term, yet they are connected to long –term achievements. I currently work in a team comprising of various members, who in turn are each responsible for separate tasks. By performing my work role and responsibilities with highest possible standards and accountability, I will be able to achieve my aims. My responsibilities are related to me becoming a team leader, as I feel I will be able to take responsibility and achieve objectives for my entire team. Though I am accountable for my tasks at the moment, but by becoming a team leader I will be accountable for my role as well as for the team’s role and responsibility. My work role is very similar to those of the team leader, as the tasks that the team leader manages are of similar nature.
2c Discuss how you manage the stress in your life and how this management contributes towards achieving a positive work-life balance.
Stress is a part of work-life due to the innumerous challenges that it possess. But for stress not to result in burnout, it needs to get tacked effectively and efficiently. I am managing stress by way of undertaking regular stress buster meditation. Through meditation I have been able to overcome the various work and life stress and manage them as well. This stress management has allowed me to incorporate positive work-life balance, as now I am being able to manage my focus easily. I was recently facing serious trouble trying to focus on my work and life, I had started developing some health issues as well. With proper meditation, I have been able to overcome such pertinent challenges in life.

Assess your current skills and knowledge against performance competencies and standards from your organisation.
Accessing personal skills is most integral aspect towards path of development. My current skills are limited yet I am trying my level best to enhance them. I have good communication skills, I am disciplined and hard working. I have skills pertaining to time management and business etiquettes as well. I have knowledge in various areas of management that are included in the course that I have covered. There has been high transfer of learning that has taken place in this course that I have undertaken, and I feel immensely enriched with the vast dimensions of knowledge gained form the same. I have knowledge in communications verbal and non-verbal nature, leadership skills and traits, organisation, management and so on. All these knowledge and skills of mine have allowed me to cater to performance competencies within the organisation that I work for. Though I still lack practical application skills in regards to various management work, yet I am a fast learner hence I making less mistakes compared to peers. As I am of hard working and self-disciplined nature, I have been regularly achieving my targets and also communicating regularly to my clients, who have positive feedback regarding me.
Describe how you obtained those performances standards and how well you perform against them.
Performance standards are obtained by way of inherited and developed skills, knowledge and tactics. I have been able to achieve performance standards through committed hard work and continuous efforts for learning and performing the same. Though my superiors have been very coordinating and guiding allowing me time to lean. Yet I have over achieved their expectations when I was allowed to perform. I have set high performance standards for myself, as I aim to achieve very high professional levels in life. I aim to become future leader in the organisation that I work for. I aim to attain the same through continuous efforts and continuously achieving my performance targets and goals.
3b Obtain feedback on your improvement plan. Note who you selected to receive feedback from and what you learned from it? What changes will you make to your plan?
I have developed an improvement plan in consultation with my University Professor. This improvement plan will allow me achieve my targets and even exceed them. My Professor had been very kind to chart a course of action for me such that I am able to attend my personal goals. I will maintain a self-reflection journal for maintaining record of my achievements and performances. This self-reflection journal will include my self-assessment along with feedback from my friends and colleagues through three methods Johari Window, ESCI Questionnaire and Big Five Traits. I will periodically update the journal and include review every 6 months. From the feedback I have gained in the last 6 months, I feel that I need to increase my knowledge pertaining to organisation skills. Though I am making efforts in various ways and methods yet I have not been able to make progress in my organizing of tasks. In order to overcome this challenge I plan to undertake guidance from case studies and self-help books from the library. I will include time within my schedule which I will spend at the library in order that I am able to inoculate skills pertaining to organizing.
Maintaining Personal Performance
3c Describe any new skills that you must acquire, and describe how you would go about obtaining them.
New skills always should be acquired such that professional career can easily be enhanced. One of the most important skill that I need to acquire pertains to multi-tasking. While I am hard working and self-disciplined, I have often failed in my capabilities to multi-task for the organisation when needed. Hence, this skill still remains to be one of the most important aspects that I need to cater to. I will enhance my skill pertaining to multi-tasking by way of time management. I will undertake a professional course available at our University in regards to multi-tasking and time management skills in order to gain knowledge in this area.
3d Describe any opportunities that you can see for participation in professional networks, and detail and how these will allow you to improve your skills.
There are multiple opportunities that can arise from participating in professional network. There is a group of professional leaders, who regularly meet near the University to discuss regarding tactics, methods for enhancing their professionalism and to solve diversified issues. I will try and enter such professional network such that I am able to participate regularly in their discussions. Entering in such professional network will allow me to extend my leadership skills and practical application. This network makes use of brainstorming sessions for analyzing and arriving at solutions of various problems. Such ideas will help me increase my professional career and become a future leader in the Company.
