Network Infrastructure
This particular project report is mainly depending on AusEd, it allows of online education facilities in Information Technology as well as Business to numbers of students in the whole world. However, AusEd is also very much committed to the learning system. This particular organisation decides to make more improvements in their network infrastructure which helps to allow educations in more efficient manner. The implemented strategic plan of this organisation is to raise the income with the help of diversification of all funding sources. Apart from that, the second plan is to decrease the costs of various non-core activities, which supports in doing both technological and operational development of AusEd. The AusEd management decided to review the already implemented information technology infrastructure that assists to increase the better services demands for both the students and staffs. Apart from that, the AusEd study centre offered numbers of workstations and student’s computers supporting all crews to enquiries all academic opportunities, different multimedia meetings based on the video conferencing art, separate tutorial meetings in all available rooms available for all study groups. With the help of available online education, all students get engaged with all other fellow students and also different staffs, professors for doing better interaction with all available people.
The already available system of AusEd mainly consists of the accounting system using proprietary MYOB software as well as customer relationship management system that mainly used as open source SugarCRM software and also a proper Email service depending on Microsoft Exchange server 2007. However, the organization mainly decides to do the technological development of organization to achieve all the strategic objectives like the development of different ad-ons to Moodle which helps the students to maintain their personal computers, local databases used in Moddle discussion forums. Hence, the first possibility is to do the better development of off-line Moodle. In second scope, it discussed about the development of add-on to Moodle site which helps the student to complete all exams on their own computers. Both these two business contexts are taken in consideration because people are accustomed to use the mobile devices for accessing better internet facility like all educational purposes. However, the offline moodle is mainly used to enhance as well as development of the mobile application that helps to increase the better classroom’s facilities and learner’s experiences for accessing the mobile devices. The AudEd mainly decided to develop Moodle offline for the better commutation from home to university, work from different locations from where they get the facility to access better available internet connection. Apart from that, Moodle offline allows all students to co-ordinate the Moodle servers and different works with available offline clients to allow access of different course materials and different learning activities. It also discussed about the photo exam that is taken at various regular interval by using computer’s on-board camera. The photographs taken includes reliable timestamp and also kept in secure manner transferred to various central locations where it can be established a proper internet connection.
Security Features
The AIS helps to track both the income as well as expenses done in AusEd. In this organization, they used a proper system to track all available company requirements along with detailed reports of accounts which are receivable and work-in-progress. Hence, the accounting system helps to generate different financial statements, managerial reports and various other reports prepared for outsiders. The organization can also use the accounting system helps to provide all related information based on overhead expenses and other sales commissions. The CRM system mainly focused on different business related services of AusEd to achieve better customer relation and increase of profits. It also helps to reduce the incurred expenses of AusEd with the better improvement of accuracy of all available study centers. () also highlighted that the CRM system mainly helps the AusEd to have better perspective based on student’s requirement, more customer knowledge from different interaction phases of students like fee payments, course conclusion, admissions etc. However, the information of customers like name, gender, marketing materials, gender, social media along with different other information from other communicational channels. All these customer’s interactions can be tracked by doing the better implementation of CRM. However, the CRM system also be utilized for getting faster services. In addition, it also helps to identify the better trends for getting the feedback of different admission purposes, marketing purposes included in different business processes.
The proposed design of an It network infrastructure is mainly used the cloud computing technique based on different network equipments and devices, using internet to guarantee the uses of different available computing resources as per demand. Some of the lists of equipments that are needed to design the IT network infrastructure are mentioned in the below table format:
List of equipments and devices used of design the network IT infrastructure |
Description |
Remote access router |
It is mainly used to have the access of both computer and network from various remote distances. |
Workgroup switch |
In LAN, the used workgroup switch is a type of switch with less capacity that is mainly used to serve various requirements of all workgroup. However, it becomes LAN equivalent with edge switch in different public areas network. |
Router |
It is one type of software and device used in computer to determine the usage of network points helps in forwarding packets to their destination. It mainly performed different traffic directing functions using proper internet connection. The forwarded data packet mainly consists of internetwork till it reached to its destination node. |
Gateway |
It is a interface that provide better compatibility among all networks to convert the transmission speed, used protocols and other various codes. |
Switch |
It is one of the high speed deice which receive more incoming data packets and also re-directs them to their destination mentioned on LAN port. However, it also channels all their incoming data from different input ports towards output port that mainly used to forward data to destination. |
Network Servers |
It is one of the computer programs that mainly help to manage all centralized resources as well as services in the network. It also helps to manage all available network resources. However, it mainly serves data to system using LAN over internet. It also helps to provide all network resources like printer access, hardware access along with better disk space. |
Workstations |
It is mainly considered as one of the desktop computer terminal that is mainly networked and also acts as more powerful comparing with personal computers. However, it also consists of higher speed of graphics adapters along with different connected peripherals. |
Network hub |
It is one of the network hardware devices that are mainly connected with the Ethernet devices to prepare the better network segments. It also have better input/output port with a proper signaling introduced at the input of port appears to all outputs of used ports. |

The proposed network infrastructure mainly consists of both software and hardware resources that enable the better communications, network connectivity, different operations as well as better network management. However, it also provided with better communicational path along with better services among all processes, users, services and other external networks. However, the networking hardware is mainly used to design all physical devices required for doing better communication and interaction among different devices available on computer network. Some of the list of used hardware for used IT network infrastructure is mentioned below:
Wireless Access Point: It is one of the network hardware that allows the use of Wi-Fi devices for better connection in wired network. The Access Point (AP) is mainly connected with router as one of the standalone devices and also considered as one of the integral components of router. However, the AP is mainly connected with wired local area network like Ethernet and also AP provided with better wireless communication with the use of wireless LAN technology.
Hardware Choice
Firewall: It is one of the hardware type used in network to offer the prevention of getting better communication. However, it also used to maintain the security of private network. However, it also blocks all unauthorized access with private network. It also helps to prevent access from the unauthorized web. The firewall also get established to create barrier among more secured trusted internal network from the outside network like internet that assumed not to be trusted and secured.
Network address translator: It is also a hardware that helps to convert both the external and internal network addresses. It also enabled the private IT network that used for un-registered IP addresses for better connection with Internet. However, it is also operated on router and also translated the private addresses to internal network in legal addresses before forwarding the packets to network.
Now days, the global economy is considered as one the un-sustainable path. In terms of building better IT network infrastructure, the organization need to achieve better sustainable global economy. However, the networks are considered that mainly developed better culture of support which is more effective and sustainable to do the better use of different IT resources. It also discussed about the strong leadership used to facilitate better supportive relationship required to create a sustainable network. In this context, () discussed sustainability of network included of different system users who can benefited from the services created of different sustainable profiles. However, the user sustainable profiles are mainly required all through different entry points like direct to network infrastructure sustainability, network partners to collect all needed data and information in different offline field. In addition, it also helps to the administrator to have the better understanding networking needed in virtual environment for the improvement of performance. The IT network plan is basically environment specific as if the situation varies from 10 physical hosts with 100 virtual machines running in pooled environment. It also discussed about the physical server environment including of different issues that can be resolved by doing proper resource management which can be resolved by doing better resource isolation.
