In this report, a concrete evaluation of consumer behaviour and the tourism industry that is affected by the sudden breakdown of the Covid 19 situation. Luna Park, located in Sydney, has faced a huge loss in Food & Beverage Departmental status. It states that the business has faced a huge loss due to government restrictions and other courses. Therefore, a detailed analysis of human resource challenges has been presented for the readers to have understood. On the other hand, consumer behaviour in relation to human resources and tourism hospitality management has been executed for analysing the current situation. Apart from that, the quality and ethical practices have been mentioned for recovering the financial stress, and with respect to that, a concrete recommendation has been presented. Lastly, a conclusion has been included that portrays the key takeaways of the report for the readers and others to have a brief overview of the paper.
The human resource challenges are defined to be such issues that mainly include the cash flow, competition, and revenue growth within a concise area. In this respective case study, the evaluation of management problems of Luna Park in Sydney has been depicted. The human resources challenges facing hospitality and tourism managers of the Park mainly focus on the downsizing of staff and employee retention. Due to the sudden outbreak of Covid 19, it has been observed that Luna Park in Sydney has faced a huge loss due to a severe financial breakdown. Covid 19 has posed huge threats to the park, and it claims that human resource challenges happen to be quite poor and that working conditions are quite difficult to be addressed. In reference, Biron (2021) has stated that huge financial stress has been observed, and it leads to huge cancellation of events. On the other hand, the restrictions of the Government led to huge cancellation of gatherings and led to obsolete operations, and it challenged the customer behaviour chain. Lastly, another key human resource challenge that is noticed and affects the key managers of tourism and hospitality is the sudden entry of the food delivery apps due to the pandemic, and it led to huge loss to the hospitality and tourism industry which is quite interconnected (Hamouche 2021). Thus, it led the large workforce of the Park to have a left out situation in basic operations in the long run. Hence, it led to the unequal treatment of the staff in terms of wages and a serious pay cut in the long run. Further, it can be addressed through the discussion that shortage of skills and consistent downfall of the financial production leads to huge stress to the mind of the tourism managers and maintaining the hospitality management.
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought serious financial losses affecting the revenues of the different food outlets. As consumers’ needs are changing, there is a pertinent need to use social media as a tool for maintaining safety standards. Keeping the social responsibilities in mind, the pandemic has affected everyone, especially the poor and needy. The food and beverage outlets are serving the customers with world-class needs by provision of award-winning careers (New., 2020). TV broadcasters like MTV have channelised the major brands prevailing therein. Luna Park has been closed since March 2020 from government orders related to Covid safety leading to a high level of financial stress. As such, these events were cancelled from the pre-booked outflow of services in financial distress. The large workforce for Park and F&B outlets has been left out with work. Government restrictions on public gatherings have abstained from outlets generated from operations.
Consumer behaviour related to hospitality and tourism
The introduction of Covid-19 has given hopes to enter and rebound in the market and introduce onto a fresh start. As such, these outlets can enter the food delivery system and generate an exceptional income by acquiring more customers due to virtual and augmented reality, it has proved to be a threat, and its demand is constantly enhancing post-pandemic. Hospitality and tourism are interconnected with one another, and as a result, travel is restricted in most countries, due to which the hospitality industry is suffering (Han., 2021). In order to gain better revenues, consumer behaviour can be influenced through apps by generating greater revenue for them. Advanced booking through online media is generated from revenue channels. In this aspect, it can be stated that flexible policies can attract customers as it would be hassle-free for them to generate revenue (Khan., 2020). In this way, the closure of the Luna Park stores can be avoided by the absence of offline marketing and the introduction of online marketing through food apps. Amidst this Covid-19 pandemic, it has become crucial to stay in touch with gaining popularity in the market. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, threats have been imposed, leading to winning food and beverage provision.
The operations of hospitality organisations depend on the quality of standards and ethical practices, which evaluates future growth also. Providing improved health and safety to the customers and its increasing demand among the guests after the pandemic is one of the ways to manage ethical practices in firms operating in the industry of hospitality (Mia & Hassan, 2021). The demand of guests regarding health and safety has increased due to the fear of getting infected by COVID-19. It has increased challenges for the management of Luna Park regarding the services related to food and beverages. The management of the firm is maintaining sanitisation in the entire firm to improve safety. Moreover, sanitisation and cleanliness are helping the firm in managing the demand of customers, which is influencing them towards Luna Park (Gaur et al., 2021). The management of the firm has implemented strategies to maintain business ethics to influence the customers. The maintenance of improved hygiene for the customers is one of the essential strategies adopted by the management of different companies like Luna Park to influence customers and gain better revenue. Providing information on maintaining hygiene has influenced the customers and their behaviour towards the services of Luna Park. On the contrary, the adoption of technologies and providing appropriate information as per the new operations is helping the management to maintain the quality, along with the standards of its ethical practices (Ding & Jiang, 2021). The information about the new and additional operations in the firm for thots guests is one of the primary aspects to manage ethical practices. In addition, maintaining the guidelines of the government and sharing information through promotional methods is helping the organisation to manage its business ethics and attract a large population, which is enabling the firm to increase its profitability.

Therefore it can be concluded from the study that Covid-19 has impacted the food and beverage industry, causing a dropdown in its profitability. The pandemic has posed serious threats causing the existence of outlets and other organisations in the hospitality industry. However, with the introduction of virtual apps, it has become possible for brands to continue their sales. The huge workforce of the park had remained out of work, due to which productivity could not be generated. This study has outlined the HR challenges faced by Luna Park and how consumer behaviour has been affected in the hospitality and tourism industry, and Covid-19 has been impacted by Luna Park. The study has also determined the quality and standards of ethical practices for Luna Park. Strategists are looking for new ways of developing evaluation in management problems for Luna Park Sydney.
It has been identified that the use of technology after the pandemic has increased in Luna Park. It is drastically affecting the perception of guests and the profitability of the firm due to the lack of strategies and information. The knowledge of employees about the technologies is able to increase challenges for the firm. Thus, it is recommended to the management of Luna Park that they need to provide training to all the employees regarding the technologies. It will help the management and employees of the firm in managing the work ethics by providing appropriate services as per the demand of customers. Contrarily, the information about the new guidelines and technologies will allow the organisation in managing its services for the customers by providing better services. The information about the maintenance of guidelines of the government and hygiene, along with cleanliness, will help the firm in attracting guests. In addition, the technological development of the firm will help in increasing profitability by reducing the marketing cost. It will also improve the revenue of Luna Park by developing new guidelines to satisfy the guests. The information about the improved quality of food and beverages will allow Luna Park to improve its profitability in all the markets it is functioning.
