Main Objectives of the Project
Project Management and planning has become very important due to increased complexities in the projects. Many organizations have changed their risk management, planning and development techniques so as to ensure effective project managers. The success of the entire project is depended on the coordination and integration of different activities involved in it (Verzuh, 2015). The objective of the report is to understand project management planning in regards to WBS, resource monitoring and execution. A high tech service provider has received a contract to develop a high tech game platform. The overall objective of the project, its deliverables, milestones and Work packages have been included in the report.
The main objectives of the project are to develop a high the game for industrial safety training in hazards environments. It should have multiplayer capabilities including Augmented and mixed reality. The games will an environment which will improve the immersive experience of the players through interaction and multiplayer communication. It will give a realistic experience to the people who will help them to understand emerging issues and problems in hazardous situation such as fire, explosion etc. In order to complete the project according to the requirements of the customer it is essential to understand the hazardous situation that may arise. It will include understanding of chemicals, fire, explosions etc. Apart from this, health and safety requirements have to be analyzed in a situation and the development of the game should be done accordingly. The content creation and technical experts should ensure the quality of the game in depicting the real life situations. They can take inputs from industrial safety trainers. The entire project is not dependent only on the technicalities and development of the game. It is important for the developer to incorporate hazardous situations and make change accordingly. Apart from this, the project should be completed in the stipulated time and in budget. All the activities have to be integrated together to ensure excellent performance of the project. They have to divide all the activities in different time durations but they cannot exceed 24 months time limit. Along with this, satisfaction of the needs and requirements of client is also considered as major objective of this project.
Deliverables include all the intangibles and tangibles which are produced in the project. The main deliverable is training method (du Plessis and Van Niekerk, 2014). This project is relevant to the development of platform for games. So, a high teach serious games platform will be considered as a major deliverable of this project. Along with this, project will help the organization to train their employees and they will be able to handle hazardous situations in a better manner. Apart from this, the team will be able to understand the technicalities involved in the project. They have to work in close association with the health and safety training department to understand all the aspects related to the project. Furthermore all the tasks have to be merged with the WPs to complete the project in the desired time. It is important for the company to allocate some time for testing and fixing the problems in the game. This has to be understood by the contractor because all the activities are dependent on it. The main WPs in the project include emulated hazards conditions in gaming, AR content creation, multiplayer, User API, Learning, analysis of MMORG, integration of different components and Testing. All these WPs have to be integrated in the main tasks of the project to ensure the outcome of deliverables in the life cycle of the project.
Deliverables
Milestone can be considered as a specific event which needs some special attention of the project manager and which is important to complete whole project in effective manner. This can be a parent event or one day task which helps in scheduling the whole event in appropriate way. Along with this, Milestone also provides assistance in monitoring the whole progress of the project (Schwalbe, 2015). For developing high tech serious games platform project manager needs to develop some specific milestones. These are initiation, planning and evaluation, execution, monitoring and closing, etc. All these milestones will help in completing different subtasks in appropriate manner. These milestones are significant for adding all the required tasks to achieve project objectives. Including this, it is also very easy to check the project progress. As per the above discussion a Milestone can deliver the major segment of the project but it comprises different sub tasks that can be used by project managers in attaining different project deliverables (Verzuh, 2015). For instance project initiation stage includes project and technical management which will help in attaining the technical deliverables of the high teach game platform project. Along with this, planning and evaluation will provide assistance in attaining all the outcomes relevant to health and safety and architecture. Along with this, using this milestone project manager can easily analyze the technical and economic requirements of the whole project. Execution and designing is also one of the major milestones which will help in delivering all the requirements of AR/MR. Further, it will provide a appropriate base of content relevant to AR that will help in training and development on new high tech game platform. Along with this, client needs include the multi player capability in this platform so; it is the major platform which can attain this deliverable in effective manner. Monitoring and control is also necessary stage of project management which can help in developing User API, Learning & Gaming and MMORG Analytics and these are the major deliverables of this project. So, this milestone helps in attaining these entire in effective manner.

Work packages can be defined as a group of different activities which are required to complete a project in effective way. As per the given requirements of the client project manager has developed 6 WPs for accomplishment of game platform project.
Conclusion
The current research project has concluded that development of a high tech game platform is the major objective. As per the report this platform will have Serious Game Based Learning (GBL) with multi-player capabilities using Augmented/Mixed Reality (AR/MR). These are considered as major deliverables of this project. Further, report has also found that it will include an extra feature of user-experience analytic enablers, for industrial safety training in hazard environments. The whole project will be complete by 6 major milestones or work packages such as initiation, planning and evaluation, execution and designing, monitoring and control, change management and closure, etc.
