The Renewable Energy
Discuss about the Alternative Energy Sources and Technologies.
The use of technology in order to utilize the forces of nature for conducting some of the human-friendly tasks has been remained important throughout the history of human beings. It has become potentially important after the industrial revolution has progressed and this industrial revolution needed a continuous supply of energy in order to sustain its applicability. The Thermal-based power generation and nuclear method of power generation or not considered as ideal because of their potential threats to the environment by a meeting large amount of carbon dioxide gases. The neutralization of environment-friendly energy generation methods in order to meet the certain demands of the energy-specific needs of the countries across the globe has become an important need (Bosenko, 2014).
The national grids of electricity at the global level are facing many challenges in terms of providing services to an increasing volume of the subscribers and customers. The conventional energy generation sources such as water and burning fuel are becoming challenging in order to meet the various demands of the provision of electricity to the increasing number of the potential subscribers of electricity users. One of the important factors with regards to the fuel based electricity generation is that it is the costly manner of production of electricity and it is not feasible for any country to continuously rely upon search form of electricity production. The hydro-based electricity generation is dependent upon the availability of water and certain natural terrain which can guarantee the flow of water from a high altitude area to a low altitude area. It is not possible for all the countries and areas of the globe to concentrate on the power generation in order to consume the water and fuel best sources (Carrasco et. al, 2006).
In these circumstances the use of alternate or renewable energy sources is becoming popular among countries and governments in order to meet certain increasing needs of the electricity.
The renewable energy sources include the use of solar energy, wind energy and other forms of energy generation mechanisms which are less costly as compared to the conventional methods of power generation. The solar energy generation and make require the use of photovoltaic cells in combination with a specific Apparatus in order to preserve the radiations and light energy emitted by the sun. There are other alternative energy sources which involve the use of the wind and air-based energy in order to run the electricity generation frameworks and the sort of energy generation techniques can be used in the coastal areas where the air flows more often (Manassah, 2014).
Tidal, Wind Power and Biomass-Based Power Systems
According to some of the research-based estimations, the sun radiates an energy which is more than the total amount of energy consumed at the global level on an annual basis. This figure significantly indicates the potential of the energy which can be utilized by laying the adequate framework of the solar energy. The Solar-based energy convertible mechanisms can be installed at the local and domestic level in order to light a specific house. This idea has been further extended by some of the countries across the globe in order to develop solar energy generation parks in which a large number of the solar panels are placed in an area for the generation of solar energy in order to complement the emerging needs of the national grid of electricity. The conventional Silicon-based solar cell produces solar to electrical energy at the productivity rate of 24%. There were many challenges associated with the availability of the Silicon-based material which was required at the large scale in order to meet certain demands of the maximum Electricity load. The concept of photovoltaic cells emerged later on which included material other than Silicon waste materials to make the feasibility and the making of the electricity more feasible and easy. The Solar Energy can be considered as one of the environment-friendly energy generation mechanism and framework with the possibility of introducing the concept of chief electricity acquiring Framework (Martín & Grossmann, 2016).
The Solar Energy can be considered as the most feasible and implement table form of energy generation as it depends upon mainly the sun as the pain energy producer. The sun is capable of providing light and heat energy during the days on a continuous basis. There are more possibilities of considering appropriate grid specific solar power systems which can use the radiations emitted by the sun as well to convert them into electricity. The photovoltaic cells are used to convert the Solar radiations into electricity and the power can be subsequently backed up by using the battery in the night time. The use of solar energy for the acquiring light and heat remained evident and obvious throughout the human history. The concept of solar energy generation was involved in the 1970s when the prices of the oil started to accelerate and the conventional method of using the combustion produced by burning the fuel was becoming costly for the countries to provide necessary supply of electricity in their national grid. The research and development started about acquiring the Solar Energy based convergent systems in order to find some of the appropriate ways to utilize the vast amount of the energy in the form of heat and light provided by the sun.
The Solar thermal energy generation methodology is also becoming common in which some of the potential heat energy is stored which can be later used in the electricity generation. The Solar thermal energy is an enhanced form of energy conversation method of generating electricity and the specific Apparatus to store the heat energy is installed along with the photovoltaic cells. The governments and public sector around the globe are taking interest in launching search projects in order to facilitate the various sources of energy generation. The solar thermal energy is a considerable option for them organizations and countries which require massive amount of energy for running their industries and certain other demanding sectors at the domestic level. There are some estimates which indicate the fact that sun is a potential source of energy and heat for the human beings. The sun radiates a significant amount of energy within one hour which is more than the Global consumption of the energy. This indicates the large potential of energy generation with regards to the utilization of the sun based radiated energy and the governments can focus on strengthening the research and development with regards to the development of certain mechanisms which can help the scientists and technologists to find different potential methods to preserve a large amount of energy radiated by the sun.
The most feasible solution in order to respond to the various Global energy specific challenges is based on considering the fact of some alternative energy generation and conservation mechanisms. It is important to consider various economic as well as social factors with regards to various energy generation possibilities available for the governments and authorities. It is important for the governments and other energy generating authorities to focus on adopting a mix of different sources with regards to energy conservation and generation mechanism for the sustainable and long-term planning of the energy-specific policy. The best strategy can be to adopt the formal and conventional energy generation methods along with some of the other methods including the renewable energy methodologies. The renewable energy includes installation of wind-based power generation in order to meet certain energy specific needs at the global level. This type of renewable energy which utilizes the wind energy in order to produce electricity is used by the China, India and United States. There are some regions of Europe which are also using the wind specific power generation methodologies in order to generate the electricity. The wind power based generation sector can become the second most important option of the electricity generation in comparison with the hydro-based power generation. The tidal and geothermal power generation methodologies can become impotent alternative energy generation methods which can be used in various countries of the globe such as China, Russia, US and Europe (Prodan, 2017).
Conclusion
The conventional power generation methods such as hydropower based systems depending upon the building of large-scale dams should become almost double by the year 2030. The biomass and geothermal energy generation systems can be considered as another alternative option to fulfill the emerging needs of the technology and energy worldwide. The continuous research and development is conducted by the scientists and the technologists in order to find the best and feasible form of energy generation methodologies which can be adopted in order to find the best possible ways of energy generation which are not challenging to the environments. The energy specific needs are an important part of any government country-specific policy which is to be drafted for the consideration of energy specific needs generated for that particular country’s population. The energy specific needs of the populations and industry based sector within the developing as well as developed countries are important to consider for the concerned authorities and governing bodies across the globe.
