Impacts of changes |
The business functions of ArchiFarm are divided into three separate sections namely, input or supplying, processing and output or distributing. Apart from that supporting is another business operation that is being performed by the company internally and also by outsourcing for the two NSW minor production sites. The processing functions comprises the automatic cow milking and feeding procedure. During this process the feeding department inform the management about the required feeding materials and the timings.
Another essential part of the processing is distribution that includes the dealing with customers as well as the distributors. It is also associated with the sales, that includes receiving the order details and reporting to the data management unit which is the head quarter situated at Sydney. Another essential internal function is health checking of cows that functioned by health diagnosis teams regularly in all three production sites.
Two major differences between HQ and minor sites are:
- HQ has automatic advance Milking system that the 2 minor production sites do not have
- HQ has their own maintenance unit for technical purpose, however the minor production sites require to outsource the maintenance facility by outsourcing
As per the information system configuration of the functionalise data processing and governance system is maintained by the head quarter. However the minor production sites control the maintenance operation as per the instruction from the Head Quarter. The Information Technology Service provider interchange the technical information with the managerial unit.
Value chain point of view
Information flow point of view
The business process of ArchiFarm are divided into five separate sections namely, Human Resource Management, Finance/Accounts, .Feeding/milking management, Maintenance and healthcare system. Apart from that, the data processing Unit is responsible for hosting the business server, record handling and other governing process. Any changes in the business operation will change the human resource by modifying the recruiting and training system. Similarly changing in health monitoring system can change the data monitoring and reporting system of heath diagnose and reporting unit.
Another essential part of the processing is financing system that includes the bufget making price generating and other essential operation. The billing system is maintained by the finance department. The distribution system does not contribute in the internal operation, therefore is not considered in the processing system of the ArchiFarm Company.
Drivers
The Information Architecture has six external data operation systems which are also knows as interfaces namely, Milking information system, feeding information, Livestock investigation information, sales information system, Logistic information system . Apart from that the governing information system which is also identified by the information Administration is management interface.
The external information including the ordering and distributing are uploaded in external server and the internal data including deeding, milking and maintenance are uploaded in the internal information server. The uploaded information are processed by DBMS system and stored in the physical database storage. The sorted data then analysed by the data governance system maintained by the administrative department and managerial section of the business. The information distribution system controlled by the database management system integrated in the virtual memory unit.
The IBM blue works, MS project management and MS Excel are used for data governance system as a part of the administration interface. SAP HANA is used for Software operation Architecture and data processing management system. The windows server SP3 and the Linax red hat are used for server hosting. The SAP ERP is used as the Enterprise Resource Planning software that manage the data collected from both internal and external information system. SQL record handling and XML black-box used to store data sequentially with proper indexing. It will also enable the data fetching and searching system.
The Application system and their cooperation is maintained by the virtual data storage system which is known by cloud storage and computing. The external information including the ordering and distributing are uploaded in external server and the internal data including deeding, milking and maintenance are uploaded in the internal information server. The uploaded information then processed by SQL database verification system administrated by the data governing interface. Online SQL worksheet is used to upload detailed records from the client side and the relationship diagram from administration side. The E-Health firmware devices upload the health update of cows as well as the medication requirements to the cloud server. The medication support system is provided after the data processing XML for quantitative requirement analysis.
The IBM blue works, MS project management and MS Excel are used for data editing monitoring, normalisation and other administrative operation. SAP HANA is used for Software operation Architecture and data integrity handling that determines the correct data path for the appropriate data packages . The windows server SP3 and the Linax red hat are used for server hosting and daa gathering. The SQL file handling system is used for the indexing data sorting, fetching, searching and other storage related operation. The Enterprise Resource Planning software that manage the data collected from both internal and external information system with data verification and data path detection at primary level.
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that in ArchiFarm, stakeholders and their drivers plays an essential role in the business process management, quality maintenance, change management, improvement, procurement and other essential operation. The business functions of ArchiFarm are divided into three separate sections namely, input or supplying, processing and output or distributing.
