Case Study selection and description
1.1 Justification of the selection
A charity sector is mainly selected for this assignment as my hobby is to be linked with various charity organizations. It is identified that charities are generally considered as an integral part of the community irrespective of its size. They generally helps in making our community a very much better place to live by providing proper goods as well as services to the people who are not getting access of those resources. Thus, I am always interested in becoming a part of the organization.
1.2 Explanation of the selected organization
In the charity sector, “SOS children’s villages Mauritius” is mainly selected which is one of the leading childcare non-government organization that helps in providing long term care to the children who generally requires help (SOScvmauritius.org). It is identified that the organization is generally selected as is main goal is to equip as well as prepare children for an independent future.
1.3 Description of the selected organization
It is identified that SOS children’s Villages Mauritius is one of the non-government organization that mainly engages in preparing as well as equipping the children for providing long-term care to the children who lost either their parental care or get abandon (SOScvmauritius.org). The organization mainly assists in providing some of the services that include residential care, family strengthening, vocational education and training.

It is identified that in order to satisfy the strategic aims of the company, it is quite necessary to focus on the following:
Technical knowledge: It is necessary to have proper technical knowledge in every field including administrative and organizational skills as well as commercial and business awareness skills in order to handle the various operations as well as functions of the charity effectively (Schoeppe et al. 2014). In addition to this, it is identified that presence of proper technical knowledge within the staffs of the charity helps in meeting the strategic aims as well as objectives of the organization.
Proper communication skill: Proper communication skill is needed within a charity organization. It is identified that most of the work of a charity is generally measured by its ability of spreading as an effective message (Aguilera and Brekken 2014). Regardless of the role, it is essential to communicate properly for resolving communication gaps within the organization. Further, it is analyzed that proper communication skill assists in resolving motivation issues that generally occur within various organizations.
Recruitment and Retention
3.1 Options to unify and streamline support functions
The software that can be used for unifying as well as streamlining support functions is Cisco Unified Contact Center Express Enhanced 4.5. This software will be helpful in communicating effectively for streamlining support functions (Kamukwema 2016). In addition to this, it is identified that it provides the facility of voice menus and queued calls, Supervisor desktop services, real time reporting and many more. Furthermore, the software faces difficulty in managing number of support function at a time.
3.2 Options to unify and streamline operational functions
ERP is considered as software that helps in providing proper operational benefits to the organization. It is identified that the software assists in saving money, helps in improving collaboration, productivity and more (Tarhini, Ammar and Tarhini 2015). In addition to this, it is analyzed that improper customization does not helps in integrating the ERP system properly.
3.3 Options to centrally aggregate data and thus extract strategic insights
Hadoop is considered as software that helps in aggregating data for extracting strategic insights. It is identified that Hadoop is one of the highly scalable storage platform that helps in storing as well as distributing large data sets (Gao et al. 2017). In addition to this, it is analyzed that this software is very much cost-effective, flexible as well as fast. Moreover, it faces issues with batch processing as well as in real time data processing.
3.4 Options to optimize & secure their internal and external interfaces
Secure socket layer (SSL) is one of the cryptographic tool that is mainly designed for optimizing as well as securing both internal as well as external interfaces. It generally assists in providing proper benefit in context to encryption, authentication and more. Moreover, It is analyzed that the SSL faces number of performance issues.
4.1 Stakeholders and their roles
The stakeholders who are involved with the charity organization “SOS children’s Villages Mauritius” are as follows:
Volunteers: They are the stakeholders who assist in running the organization properly.
Beneficiaries: Beneficiaries are the children who are homeless and want help from the organization. Excellent customer service is quite important for SOS children’s villages Mauritius (Rice, Martin and Gurd 2015).
Donors: They are the stakeholders who help in providing fund to the organization so that the organization can easily help the children who are in need.
Local community: The local communities are the stakeholders who honor as well as participate in various types of community activities for cultivating various community leaders, government agencies as well as institutions (Mascarenhas et al. 2015).

4.2 Process of controlling and processing budgetary aspects
The processes of controlling as well as processing budgetary aspects are as follows:
Quick reporting: It is quite necessary for the subordinates to send proper reports on performance without any delay so that the managers can analyze the reports properly and can be able to take necessary actions.
Support of top management: The top management of the organization must have proper as well as clear idea about the budgetary control of the organization so that proper budgetary control must be implemented effectively within the organization (Cassidy 2016).
Flexibility: It is necessary for the management to later the budget figures if the circumstances provide any type of warrant. This helps in managing budgetary processes.
4.3 Risks and their management process
The risks and their management procedures are provided below:
Decline in funding and donation: Sometimes the stakeholders analyzes decline in funding and donation and in order to resolve the issue it is necessary to keep the accounts up to date.
Loss of data: Data security is one of the important risks that can cause loss of sensitive data of the organization. In order to resolve the problems, encryption is needed (Wolf and Floyd 2017).
Fraud: Fraud is considered as a risk that internally as well as externally targets the organization. In order to reduce this type of issue proper level of scrutiny is required.
4.4 Process of monitoring progress of the IT roll-out by the project manager
The processes of monitoring progress of the IT rollout by the project manager are as follows:
Controlling cost: This helps in monitoring the work performance, cost forecast as well as change requests that are mainly associated with the project.
Controlling quality: This procedure helps in ensuring that the deliverables of the project are properly defined as per the quality control process (Mascarenhas et al. 2015).
Controlling risk: This process helps in tracking the risks that are associated with the IT roll out. This procedure is required for triggering change requests, which include both preventative as well as corrective actions.
5. IT management and ITIL
The role of the IT manager in the planning as well as execution of the IT rollout as well as in the subsequent management of various upgraded IT department within the new IT system are as follows:
Maintains staff: They generally maintain the staffs of the project by recruiting, selecting as well as by maintaining a work environment.
Direct technological research: The technological research is mainly conducted by studying various types of organizational goals, practices as well as strategies (Eikebrokk and Iden 2017).
Accomplishes final objectives: The final objectives are met by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget as well as after analyzing variances
Maintain quality service: The IT manager assists in providing quality service by establishing as well as enforcing different organization standards.
