Each and every employee is recognised by the leaders as an extensive opportunity in relation to providing widespread insights into the operational standards, quality, method and work culture of an organisation (Forbes, 2018). Furthermore, the capability of the leader to focus on individual growth aspect of his or her employees, is of immense significance in ensuring that the organisation is largely able to deliver high product and service standards to its customers (O’Leonard & Krider, 2014). This is of prime significance since the organisation will largely be able to develop a diversified workplace, the individual contribution of whom is of high degree of effectiveness in delivering widespread success standards in the competitive business environment (Bolman & Deal, 2017).

Activity 4: Finalisation of Newsletter
Upcoming Events
The above newsletter draft has been checked thoroughly and finalised after the confirmation from Operations Manager.
This is to hereby inform you that the purpose of the safe manual handling procedure is to provide the employees with adequate details on to the safe and secure procedures to be followed by the employees of Grow Management Consultants in relation to their daily operational activities. The newsletter is to be written in a A4 Size MS Word Document and shared via online portal to each of the employees.
The importance of Safe Manual Handling Procedure is to ensure reducing the number of health and safety accidents that take place in an organisational context and further highlight the ways by which it can minimised to some extent. It primarily encompasses transporting and supporting of load by employees, which comprises of lifting, pushing, putting down, moving from one place to another as well as pulling and carrying goods (Kim, J. Park & M. Park, 2016). The primary significance of developing a manual for ensuring safety for each of the above mentioned activities in an organisational context is to ensure that injuries caused due to poor or incorrect method of accomplishing tasks is minimised significantly.
Grow Management Consultants has recorded nearly 255 cases of safe handling in 2016, wherein employees have suffered from medium to severe injuries. The number of accidental fall with loads within the office premises is found to have increased significantly, thereby making the relevant importance of developing an appropriate safety manual handling procedure to be of immense significance.
Grow Management Consultants has resulted in developing the following set of procedures to be followed by its employees as a part of the safe handling procedure:
- Employees must follow the proper process and system relating to accomplishing tasks to avoid the rate of accidental occurrences
- Employees are advised to make effective use of equipment for the purpose of ensuing high degree of safety in and every step they take within the organisation
- Employees must have a cooperative attitude towards the employers in relation to complying with the rules and regulations relating to safety (Gnoni & Saleh, 2017)
- Employees must immediately raise a concern if they find any form of violation of the rules and regulations governing to safety handling
- Employees must ensure that they do not contribute to the process of increasing the degree of risks significantly within the organisational context (Health and Safety Executive, n.d)
Employees are instructed to avoid manual handling as much as possible within the organisational context (Holt & Allen, 2015). It is of immense significance for organisations to ensure whether it is at all necessary for them to move the workpiece from its present location to some other. It can also take into consideration whether the activity instigating the movement of workpiece can be successfully accomplished in its present position (Dennerlein et al., 2017). Grow Management Consultant has taken into consideration making effective use of automation processes, so that workpieces can be moved from one place to another automatically without the involvement of any form of manual labour. As a result, the chances of accidental occurrences are likely to be reduced significantly. Some of the automated mechanisation tools that employees can undertake in this regard comprises of use of conveyor, pallet truck, lift truck and electric hoist or a host driven by hand power. However, it is of prime significance to ensure that the overall process associated with mechanisation or automation is capable of handling hazards that can take place in relation to its usage.
An open discussion and organising of seminars to discuss upon the possible ways of discussing safety handling procedure seems to be highly significant. It must largely emphasise on discussing in great detail each of the tasks that are subjected to involve movement of workpiece by employees within an organisational context followed by identification of processes that will reduce the chances of query significantly (Health and Safety Executive, 2018.). The seminar session must also arrange a free question and answer session with the employees, wherein all form of queries and uncertainties related to safe handling procedure is elaborated and discussed in great detail.
New Products to be Launched
Grow Management Consultants has taken into consideration the minimum weight level to be carried by individual employees, in accordance to their age group and degree of physical capability. In doing so, it is of immense significance that the chances of accidental occurrences in the organisational premises is likely to be reduced significantly. Furthermore, on making employees well aware of the detrimental risks and injuries that are likely to take place in relation to daily organisational operational activities, Grow Management Consultants can expect a reduction in the number of accidental occurrences. In doing so, the organisation is likely to have a workforce who is well educated on the process associated with movement of goods as well as possible consequences associated with not complying to the organisational standard procedures. To be precise, the overall focus of the procedure should be on employees going ahead with checking the load that needs to carry, making effective use of automated equipment, following the correct and desirable body postures along with adherence to other minor restrictions. The suggested manual seems to be of immense significance in reducing the degree of safe handling related accidents and injuries in Grow Management Consultants. It possess adequate capability in making employees aware of the necessity to act more responsibly and ensure that they comply with the rules and regulations highlighted in the organisational safety handling procedure.
The above draft prepared on Safe Handling Procedure has been thoroughly checked to determine whether each of the objectives have been successfully accomplished. Furthermore, spelling, grammar and construction of sentences have also been checked to ensure that it is free from any form of errors and mistakes.
