- 1:1 between EMPLOYEE and BACKGROUND. Here one EMPLOYEE has one and only one BACKGROUND and each BACKGROUND belongs to one and only one EMPLOYEE.
- 1:1 between EMPLOYEE and STAFF. Here one EMPLOYEE place for one and only one STAFF post and Each STAFF is related to one and only one EMPLOYEE.
- 1:1 between STAFF and TEACHING_STAFF. Here one STAFF has post on one and only one TECAHING_STAFF and Each TEACHING_STAFF is belonging to one and only one STAFF.
- 1:1 between STAFF and ADMINISTRATIVE_STAFF. Here one STAFF has post on one and only one ADMINISTRATIVE_STAFF and each ADMINISTRATIVE_STAFF belonging to one and only one STAFF.
- 1:1 between STAFF and LEAVE_ABSENCE. Here one STAFF has one and only one LEAVE_ABSENCE and each LAEVE_ABSENCE is related to one and only one STAFF.
- 1:M between STAFF and STAFF_TIMESTAFF. Here a STAFF has one or more STAFF_TIMESTAFF and each STAFF_TIMESTAFF is related to one and only one STAFF.
- 1:M between SUBJECTS and STAFF_TIMESTAFF. Here a SUBJECT has one or more STAFF_TIMESTAFF and each STAFF_TIMESTAFF is related to one and only one SUBJECTS.
- 1:M between STAFF and DATE_LEAVE_ABSENCE. Here a STAFF has one or more DATE_LEAVE_ABSENCE and each DATE_LEAVE_ABSENE related to one and only one STAFF.
- 1:M between STAFF and STAFF_ACTIVITIES. Here a STAFF has one or more STAFF_ACTIVITIES and each STAFF_ACTIVITIES related to one and only one STAFF.
We know that in logical database design contains entities name, relationship between entities, attributes, primary key and foreign key. Entities and relationship between entities describe in conceptual database design. Now I explain attributes, primary key and foreign key of entities and there are following: –
- EMPLOYEE: – EMPLOYEE_ID, TITLE, FIRST_NAME, MIDDLE_NAME, LAST_NAME, BIRTHDATE, STREET_ADDRESS, CITY_STATE, POSTAL_CODE, PHONE, MOBILE, DATE_HIRED, DATE_TERMINATED, TFN, DEPARTMENT, LOCATION are attributes. Here EMPLOYEE_ID is primary key.

- BACKGROUNG: – EMPLOYEE_ID, YEAR_STARTED_WORKING, YEAR_FINISHED_WORKING, POSITION, ORGANISATION_NAME, LOCATION are attributes. Here EMPLOYEE_ID is primary and foreign key.
- STAFF: -STAFF_ID, EMPLOYEE_ID, STAFF_STATUS are attributes. Here STAFF_ID is primary key and EMPLOYEE_ID is foreign key.
- TEACHING_STAFF: – STAFF_ID, LOCATION, CONTACT_DETAIL are attributes. Here STAFF_ID is primary and foreign key.
- ADMINISTRATIVE_STAFF: -STAFF_ID, STAFF_POSITION are attributes. Here STAFF_ID is primary and foreign key.
- LEAVE_ABSENCE: – STAFF_ID, NO_OF_LEAVE_ALLOCATED, NO_OF_SICKLEAVE_ALLOCATED, REMAINING_LEAVE, REMAINING_SICKLEAVE are attributes. Here STAFF_ID is primary and foreign key.
