Business Process Modeling Report
Business process management is referred to as a discipline set that is used in the organizations for improving mostly the business processes. On the other hand, the business process modeling is an approach which defines the way through which the discipline set can work effectively and efficiently. The business case scenario nominated to represent this report is “Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping Park” project.
The crater Lakes caravan and camping park provides range of accommodation option to the consumers. 6 people are allowed to accommodate in a single cabin with an option of short term and long term success. The business process modeling report include the process categorization, capability maturity models, case function matrix, 7PGM process for each of the different 2 processes those have been inserted. The cycle time for both the processes are also calculated and presented in this report.
Process categorization model
In these recent days the concept of project and process categorization has become an ideal practice for the business organizations to meet the necessary objectives and functionalities. With a successful comparison between the traditional and advanced process modeling it is determined that, the process categorization is one of the mandatory actions that will help to bring all the factors in a single boundary. The components will be connected through a string and all the require information will be shared among those components.
In order to design a categorization model for “Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping Park”, among the phases proper interrelationship among the components are required to be developed. For developing such categorization Porter’s model and Earl’s model are followed. Value Chain Model is another approach of the porter’s model that helps to design the activities successfully.
This specific project is also divided into certain segments or processes such as security, laundry and cleaning, car parking etc. If this model is successfully incorporated to this project then a successful connection will be developed among these factors.
Capability maturity model
Capability Maturity Model is referred to as a methodology which is widely used for developing and refining a software development process of any business organization. Through a five level of evolutionary path this model is develops by the developers. The software Engineering Institute is responsible to promote such model so that it can meet the preliminarily set goals and objectives. The five phases of the model are initial level, repeatable level, defined level, managed level and optimization level. All of these phases are to be monitored by the project executives at the control and monitoring phase. In order to conduct the “Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping Park” project these five phases are to be followed by the project manager and the project team members.
Capability Maturity Model
For this specific project also these levels are considered and the purposes of these levels are elaborated in the below section:
Initial: This is the initial phase of CMM and the purpose of this phase is to identify the necessary challenges and opportunities that may arise while designing and developing this project. The unpredictable process considering poor control over the components and management are also part if this phase.
Repeatable: In order to meet the project objectives the identified processes such as security, laundry and cleaning and car parking are individually characterized by the project manager and the project team members.
Defined: With the organizational development methodologies the project categories are defined in this level.
Managed: All the processes are individually measured and controlled based on their requirements and expected outcomes.
Optimization: In order to avoid further process level errors the project manager and the project team members should focus on their improvements. It is expected that, if these measures are properly controlled then so such process error occur in the project.

Process model for Laundry Cleaning
The below diagram shows the model considering the process and conditions also. In order to evaluate the laundry and cleaning service for the consumers this below process flow should be followed by the developers.

Process model for Security
The security process model is different from the laundry and cleaning which implies that the process stars with noise recognition and emergency ring. Before booking for car parking the consumers should check for the available empty locations if any such location is identified then, the booking should be done accordingly.

PGM discussion for first process
According to the guidance of 7PGM model, it is defined that there are different components integrated to the implication of the 7PGM. Not only this but also, model initiation structure and ending events are the other components associated to this model. It is identified that successful design of this model will help the project to meet the preliminary objectives.

Process Categorization
The identified elements will be merged together and represented in this model. For each of the element route minimization is required to be recommended by “Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping Park” project owners.
Cycle time for process 1: Laundry
After analyzing the process details with time of individual components below timelines are identified. In order to calculate the total time cycle for laundry and cleaning process the time cycle is calculated in the below section:
The total cleaning session: 30 Minutes
Rubbish connection and their disposal: 45 Minutes
Cleaning of the total site: 5 Minutes
For the mowing: 10 Minutes
Total cycle timing= (30+45+5+10) Minutes= 90 Minutes
Cycle time for process 2: Security Guard patrolling
Similarly for the security guard patrolling process the rime cycle is calculated in the below section:
Patrolling of the park by the security guards: 15 Minutes
Time management for the emerging services: 15 Minutes
Session booking: 60 Minutes
Sabin lock checking: 15 Minutes
Total cycle timing= (15+15+60+15) Minutes= 105 Minutes
Redesign for process 1: Laundry
The previous process design approach has certain flaws those are resolved with the redesigned process represented below. After checking for the available power and empty access of washing machines, the consumers can book for laundry. Besides laundry and cleaning the clients are allowed to use the small fridges also as per their demand and availability. For the There is an option for automatic waste disposal. The laundry cleaning approach is divided into two different sections cleaning session 1 and cleaning session 2. For the successful completion of the cleaning session 1 and 2 the services providers need to contact to the cleaners and the process ends up with cleaning the cabins.

After analyzing the details of the project specifications it is determined that before redesigning the laundry cleaning and security guard patrolling process, based on the heuristic measures (Devil’s Quadrangle) the scope should be added. The cost of this approach is high but the quality is appreciable. On the other hand, time taken for implementing this process is long but with the successful implementation it has meet the scope prepared at the project initiation phase. For four of the quadrants scores are given out of 10.

Redesign for process 2: Security guard patrolling
In order to make sure that the best practices for security guards patrolling is being conducted by the project team members the below redesigned process model should have to be followed by the project team members. After parking the cars the gates are to be locked automatically based on the served requests. Then, the cabins should also be locked respectively to increase the system security. This is the role of the security guards to make sure that proper security services are provided by them to avoid unwanted system access. The security for the clients should never be compromised and therefore, all the necessary keys are handed to the administrative. There will be security alarm which will result emergency ring when any unwanted consumers will try to access the location.

Management system business process
Some advanced components are also being incorporated to the system to make sure that it is meeting its objectives. In order to assist and drive the business process towards massive success proper evaluation of the management system is very much crucial. The Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping Park provides the consumers a range of accommodation options. The newly renovated cabins are attractive for those consumers who are seeking for luxury. Both the short term and long term accommodation options are available for the automation.
The cabins can accommodate 6 people in each and the facilities offered include kitchenette, toilet room, shower room, DVD and TV. It also offers parking facilities with proper license and vehicle registration the clients can book their parking location by accessing the parking map. In order to explain the location of the camping site, laundry, toilet, shower blocks, rubbish disposal, BBQ facilities the staffs of the project go through the details of the maps.
Room recreation is referred to as a major phase rather change management phase for the business process. In order to access all the areas swipe keys are available for the staffs. The usages of this application are demonstrated by the staffs and this take around 5 minutes. Another thing is there which is delivered by the project manager in terms of shared amenities. For all the campers the toilet, BBQ facility, shower blocks are available. The laundry can only be accessed only by swiping the cards. After swiping the cards the washing machines and driers can be used by the campers. The location also avail security guards to provide high security to the site location. In case of any necessary requirements serious incident security will be provided in terms of emergency services.
Conclusion
From the overall discussion it can be concluded that, in order to design the project on “Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping Park”, the business process is needed to be analyzed successfully. The management approach designed for the project has also considered the necessary tools and analytics of business process management. The business community is responsible to take all the necessary actions through which the needful changes can be incorporated to the business process.
