The person has to work in an environment where there is lot of dealing with money (Rutterford, 2014). The person guides the client regarding money and if an investment banker is able to give proper guidance, he or she will receive good amount of money (Gutmann, 2013).
The person has to take the commerce line to become an investment banker (Dorn, 2016). Being a chartered accountant will be the best option for that person (Ghosh, 2016).
Nature of Work, Education and Skills for Investment Bankers
The person has to be up to date with the financial world (Chen, Morrison & Wilhelm, 2014). They should possess a good knowledge about the stock market. They will be helping the clients who are individuals, companies and government bodies (Merluzzi & Phillips, 2016). They should be fast with the calculations and the spreadsheets should be in their fingertips.
Training is required for the employees who are working in the field of investment banking to handle multiple customers and the way they should deal with the clients (Huang et al. 2014). As the money of the clients is at stake, the investment bankers should know the best possible way to help them invest their money (Chemmanur, Ertugrul & Krishnan, 2014).
A person who wants to become an investment banker should not fear pressure (Rutterford, 2014). There will be multiple clients and if a client is not happy then the person should know the way to handle the pressure (Gutmann, 2013). The salesperson should present the products in such a manner so that the customers listen to the person and they are convinced that company is providing good quality products to them (Rapp et al., 2015).
The convincing power should be present in the individual (Bolander, Bonney & Satornino, 2014). If a person does not know the art to convince people, the person would not be able to sell a product (Inks, Avila & Horner, 2016). A person could not be taught the art to convince the people. Hence, the person needs to have the trait to be in the field of sales (Banerjee, 2015).

Other than whole trade and the manufacturing industry, most of the companies have shown a steady growth as far as the labor market is concerned. Thus, people in sales department might look for a steady growth while working in the market of Australia.
One kind of employer will not hire sales people. Various employers will be looking for the employees in the sales department (Ford, Honeycutt Jr & Joseph, 2015). Hence, it can be said that the people who are working in the sales field will get a huge area to explore while working in the sales field.

The education for the individuals will vary based on the subject that the person will teach to the younger generation (Turvey et al., 2016). However, it is better if the person does any education related course that will help the individual the psychology of the student (Narayan, 2016).
Nature of Work, Environment, and Educational Requirements for Teachers
A person who wants to be a teacher should possess the skill to teach and explain a subject properly to a group of individuals or a single person (Atteberry, Loeb & Wyckoff, 2015). The persons should excel in the subject that he or she is teaching to the future generation (Shih & Rau, 2014).
The person who wants to be in the teaching line needs training to handle the students (Johnson et al., 2014). The person should know the psychology of the students as they come from various backgrounds (Behrstock-Sherratt et al., 2014). As the teacher has to handle the class with various students, hence the person should know the ways to deal with various kinds of students (Resnick, 2017).
The personality trait that should be present in the person who wants to be a teacher is communication skills (Watkins, 2016). As the person has to constantly communicate with the students, the person should be able communicate properly (Gardiner, 2016).
The average salary of a teacher starts from $55,500 and can go up until $1, 00,000 (TES, 2017).
Some of the industries in Australia are expected to grow tremendously in the coming years and education and training is one such industry. A person who wants to build a career in the field of investment banking can start working after acquiring a bachelor degree in commerce (Chen, Morrison & Wilhelm, 2014). The individual can also enter an organization as an intern. The person can enter any bank as an associate investment banker (Merluzzi & Phillips, 2016). If the person is able to complete the internship successfully then the person will be able to move up to junior level and middle level. On-the-job training and experience will help the person to move up to the senior level(Huang et al. 2014). Once the person reaches a senior position, then the person will be responsible for end-to-end financial transactions (Chemmanur, Ertugrul & Krishnan, 2014).
The entry level position for a person who wants to go into the fields of investment banking can start as intern or as a junior level analyst (Rutterford, 2014).
There are no other names for the entry-level positions.
A person after gaining good amount of experience can start independent practice (Gutmann, 2013). Instead of working under a bank, the person can help the customers can work individually.
In the middle and upper level positions, a person can handle other junior level employees who are working in the bank (Dorn, 2016). The person in the senior level will be responsible for training the junior employees or the interns in the banks (Ghosh, 2016). The performances of the junior employees need to be checked by the employees who are working in the middle and senior level (Chen, Morrison & Wilhelm, 2014). For any problems in the financial issues, the employees in the senior level will be held responsible and they will have to make the necessary changes. The employees in the senior level will be given the responsibility to take the important decisions in the bank (Merluzzi & Phillips, 2016).
A person needs to have a bachelor’s degree to start the career as an investment banker. A person who is interested in the field of commerce can opt for a career as an investment banker (Huang et al., 2014). However, having a bachelor’s degree in commerce will be helpful for the person to start the career as an investment banker. In addition to the bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree will help a person to move up to the senior position of a bank (Chemmanur, Ertugrul & Krishnan, 2014). The person will then have better idea about the financial tactics and the person can apply those ideas to solve the issue he or she will face in the senior positions (Rutterford, 2014).
A person who wants to be in the sales field needs to start with direct selling (Bush et al., 2015). Many sales people should be able to convince the customers by directly selling the products and services to the customers (Peltier et al., 2015). The person then can gain the position of sales executive. With experience, the individual can move up to the level of senior sales executive (Rocco & Whalen, 2014). While in the senior role, the person will be responsible for handling a team of junior employees (Hogan, Chamorro?Premuzic & Kaiser, 2013). Once in the senior position, the person should be responsible to see whether the junior employees are achieving the set targets (Locander et al., 2015). The next position is the position of the sales managers and eventually the person can become the head of the department of sales (Rapp et al., 2015).
In the entry level a person can enter an organization as an intern or can join an organization as junior sales executive (Bolander, Bonney & Satornino, 2014).
There is no other name for the entry-level position for a sales person.
After gaining considerable amount of experience, a person can start his or her own business and become an entrepreneur (Inks, Avila & Horner, 2016). At times, many people fail to start a business side to lack of experience. However, working in an organization, will help the person to gain the required experience and then the person can start his or her business.
The middle and upper level positions for a sales person will be the position of senior executive, sales manager and eventually the person will become the head of the department (Banerjee, 2015). Once a person is in the senior position and then the person will be able to take responsible to take some of the important decisions for the company and decide on the future steps that need to be taken to acquire more clients and help them get more business from the market (Ford, Honeycutt Jr & Joseph, 2015).
A person needs to acquire a bachelor’s degree to enter the sale field. However, a bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing will be helpful for the person (Bush et al., 2015). Eventually, a master’s degree in business administration or sales and marketing will be helpful for the person to move up to the senior positions in the organization (Peltier et al., 2015). If required, the person can also do a doctorate in the field so that he or she will be included in the management of the organization for making higher decisions (Rocco & Whalen, 2014).
The career path of a teacher might sound simple but the career path of the teacher is not easy (Atteberry, Loeb & Wyckoff, 2015). The feedbacks of the students are important for the teacher to go ahead in the career. They will get instant feedback of the students depending on their way to teach them (Shih & Rau, 2014). It is not any other jobs where the customers will get indirect feedbacks. The students will give the feedback on the spot and hence, the teacher will be able to develop their path based on the feedback of the students (Johnson et al., 2014).
A person can enter the teaching industry with the Montessori or kindergarten teaching (Behrstock-Sherratt et al., 2014). It is the pre-primary level and have helped the children to develop their skills that will help them in the long run (Resnick, 2017).
There is no other name for the entry-level position for a teacher.
A teacher who is starting with the Montessori level has two choices to make (Watkins, 2016). The person can acquire more training and move up the level. After a Montessori teacher, the person can then teach junior level and secondary level (Gardiner, 2016). The person can develop the career further by becoming a teacher at the colleges or academic institutions (Papay & Kraft, 2015).
A person can go to the administrative level after being a teacher as well (Turvey et al., 2016). He or she can start looking after the operations of the school or the institution where he or she has been teaching initially (Narayan, 2016).
The middle or upper level positions will be the positions in the schools and the positions in the colleges or academic institutions (Atteberry, Loeb & Wyckoff, 2015). After teaching to the kindergarten, a teacher can move onto teaching the higher secondary students in school and if they want, they can teach the students in colleges (Shih & Rau, 2014). The upper positions in school can be the senior teachers and eventually the person can become the principal of the institution based on the experience and performance at schools (Johnson et al., 2014).
The person who is teaching at school is required to have a mastered degree in the subject in whom he or she is trashing followed by a degree in education (Behrstock-Sherratt et al., 2014). However, while moving up the position, the degree and experience will matter. On the other hand, if a person wants to teach in the colleges and universities, then they require passing the examination and then they will become eligible for teaching in colleges and universities (Resnick, 2017).
After going through various aspects of career choices, I have come to know that each career comes with certain benefits and certain challenges. Nobody can say that one type of careers is good as there is no work. I feel that every person is carrying some responsibility or the other while doing his or her job. An investment banker has to deal with the money of the individuals. If the investment banker is not being able to make the right choice then the company or the customer will be at loss. As a result, the investment will lose out in his or her jobs for wrong decisions. On the other hand, the teacher needs to impart proper education to the children. If a teacher does not give proper education to the students, they would not be able to score well and on a long run, it will hamper their career. Hence, I can say teaching is a career that helps in shaping the career of ether individuals. The sales person is the face of a company. He or she should be confident while selling the products or services. If the person is not able to work properly, the business of the company will be affects eventually. The person cannot make mistake while talking to the customers as the customers will listen to the salesperson before making a purchase.
After carrying out the study, I have been able to decide that I would like to go in the field of teaching. My choice is mainly based on the fact that I am patient enough to deal with the students. I like the idea that as a teacher I will be helping the students to make a career of their own. It is up to the guidance of the teacher, that the students will be able to decide the area where they want to make their career.
While evaluating the three fields, I understood that I lack mathematical ability. Mathematical ability is necessary for a person who is looking for a career in the field of investment banking. The person will be responsible for any kind of investments that another person or company will make. Hence, mathematical calculations cannot go wrong for any investment banker. In addition to this, I felt that I have the ability to convince people but I lack the ability to convince the people to buy any product or good. Hence, I felt that if I am given job as an investment banker or a sales person in an organization, I may not be able to perform well. I understand that I need to work on my convincing power as well as practice mathematics. I may not be making the fields my career but it might help me to develop my career in teaching.
There is no such area that in dislike while evaluating the fields. However, my lack of mathematics made me feels that I may not be suitable for the position of an investment banker. On the contrary, I want to excel in the subject that I am learning and want to impart my acquired knowledge to the future generation.
Conclusion
After going through the challenges and opportunities of three career choices, it can be concluded that every individual should make the correct choice and should acquire proper knowledge before choosing the right career. An investment banker should know the financial industry well and should be updated with the change in share market rates. If the person performs well then the income of the person will be good. A teacher is responsible for the future of the students. The students will be completely dependent on the teacher for their future. Hence, if a teacher is not responsible, the students will be hugely negatively affected. A sales person is the future of the company. If the person convinces the customers well, then the business will be more, if the person is not able to perform well, then the business will be affected negatively. The person who wants to go in the field of investment banking should study with commerce. A teacher can teach any subject but should take up a course in education to handle the students well. A sales person should do marketing course to know the tactics of handling the customers well.
The report has been helpful for me to decide the career. I have decided that I would not like to go into the field of teaching. I liked all the fields equally and I understood that every career comes with various challenges and benefits. The report made me understand that I need brush my skills in mathematics and convincing people. The skills might not help me build a new career but I feel that the skills will help me in developing a my career in the fields of teaching. I felt that education and career go hand in hand and one needs to gain the knowledge in the related field to develop a career in the particular field.
