Significance of Migrants in the Australian Economy and Social Welfare
Reflection report
1. Evaluate the effectiveness and your usefulness of the learning experience
This research is effective and useful for me to gain the learning experience about the challenges and opportunities for Nepalese migrants in Australia. I have also learned that migrant plays a fundamental role in the economy and social welfare of an individual in Australia. The previous assignments are also significant for me to understand the background of Nepalese migrants in Australia. In this way, it is evaluated that in the current times, the community is one of leading developing population of immigrants in Australia (Adhikari and Hobley, 2015). This learning was useful for me to conduct further research in this sector. This research has also increased my comprehension that the Nepalese people migrants in Australia. They are also coming from a well-educated and restricted community of the country (Adhikary, et. al., 2018). This immigrant not only presents the poor people but also shows the need for people in rural destinations. This learning is effective for me to provide the opportunity to Nepalese migrants in Australia in the upcoming period. I have also learned that there are some spouses of Nepalese family who can come from skill labor visa but they face different issues in terms of adjusting the culture into Australia. It is evaluated that all educational experts who come from Nepal could be recognized in Australia (Chapagai, et. al., 2017).
2. Explain how this learning process will be useful to you
I have also increased my understanding about the research question. In this way, it is evaluated that research question could be categorized into parts such as primary and secondary research question (Douglas, et. al., 2016). I have also learned that primary research question was used to identify different challenges and opportunities for an individual from Nepal migrating to Australia. I have also observed that secondary research question is used to define the percentage of Nepalese people traveling in Australia. It is also pointed that secondary research question also discusses the kind of jobs presented in Australia for migrant people (Poudel, et. al., 2018). In this way, I have learned that primary research question is responded by collecting the information from primary sources while secondary research question is responded via secondary sources.
3. Describe objectively what happened in the learning process
I have read different textbooks, academic publication, online and offline article for gaining knowledge regarding research question. Through the research proposal, I have learned that research design and methodology is a systematic process, which is applied to complete the research in a mechanical way. It is evaluated that research design and methodology presents different tools and techniques to accomplish the aim and objective in a methodological way (Renzaho, and Polonsky, 2012). It is analyzed that inductive approach is beneficial for making sure that a research scholar will use the theoretical structure for completing the research (Schloenhardt and Craig, 2015). From the external sources, I have observed that deductive approach is only used for developing the hypothesis. Through the assignment 2, I have gained my understanding regarding two kinds of techniques like qualitative and quantitative research technique. In this way, I have gained my experience that qualitative research approach is used to apply detail questionnaire, which can have closed and open-ended questions. This research was also effective for me to understand my knowledge about quantitative research. In this way, I have learned that quantitative research methodology involves the well-structured interview that could be conducted on a similar number of people on face to face and phone. It will ensure that each interview will have related set of questions (Tan and Lester, 2012). I have also observed that quantitative research is used to express the numerical information via statistical technique.
Background of Nepalese Migrants in Australia and the Need for Opportunity in Rural Destinations
4. Evaluate what you learn
The business research was beneficial for me to improve my skills of research because it has improved my knowledge regarding the different process for attaining the investigation. I have also enhanced my comprehension that wide range of approaches is used for completing the aim and objective of the investigation. Consequently, this research enables me for implementing the research methodology in the investigation.
5. Explain your learning process
The main cause for executing the different activities during the research is to attain the research aim and objectives in the targeted time period. I have learned that mixed research design would be used for gathering the research as this design contains the quality of both research designing. As a result, it has allowed me to find the consistent with appropriate result in a realistic way.
By the second assignment, I have enhanced my knowledge about data collection technique. In such manner, I have increased my learning experience that both primary as well as secondary data collection method will be implemented for gathering the data regarding challenges and opportunities for Nepalese migrants in Australia.
I have also pointed that primary data can be sourced via several methods such as survey through questionnaire and interview. It is also determined that secondary data could be pooled through distinct tools such as online websites, textbooks, journal articles and offline material (Simkhada, et. al., 2018). This knowledge would be helpful for me to exercise the process of data pooling in organizational activities. This research is also beneficial for me to learn about the independent variable. In this way, I have learned that independent variable involves the nature of business whether they apply the standards associated with financial accounting, nature of the corporation, level of impact on financial statement and taxes. As a result, I am able to recognize the independent variable in the future.
This research is also effective for me to enhance my understanding regarding sampling technique. In such manner, it is evaluated that simple random sampling is used to offer the equal chances to the respondents for providing their response (Klocker, et. al., 2018). This learning process would be utilized by me for choosing the right amount of sample size. As a result, I have gained my skills for acquiring the constant and feasible result of research.
This learning process is also beneficial for me for increasing my knowledge on ethical consideration. As a result, it would ensure me to complete the research study in an ethical mode. It is also stated that ethical consideration would be implemented for keeping the confidentiality of participants till the research completion (KC, Wang, and Gentle, 2017). Consequently, it would be appropriate for arriving at the ethical conclusion.
Research Methodology and Ethical Considerations
This learning process has also developed my awareness about the data analysis. In this way, I have learned that after gathering the data, there is need to analyze the pooled data. I have pointed that there are several techniques for analyzing the data such as SPSS and MS Excel. This software is used to present the descriptive data and visual representation of information. I have also improved my comprehension of the expected conclusion. In this way, it is evaluated that Australia has a diverse culture, which has flourished the economy by providing an opportunity for a new set of migrants (Simkhada, et. al., 2018). I have also developed my understanding of the reliability and validity. In this way, it is identified that a test for the sake of reliability and validity will be implemented for assessing whether the same result can be reproduced (Short, Hossain, and Khan, 2017). I have also observed that in secondary information, there would be no requirement for carrying out the test because data will have already existed.
This research was beneficial for me to develop my understanding of the research limitation. In this way, I have perceived that there is certain research limitation like inadequate time, cost, and resources for completing the research. This learning experience was useful for me enhance my professional as well as professional career.
6. Explain Plan how this learning you will apply
This research has developed my knowledge associated with investigation timetable. In such case, I have increased my knowledge that research time plan facilitates the structure for accomplishing the goal and purpose of research. It is also addressed that Gantt chart is constructed for graphical illustration to schedule the research. As a result, now, I am capable of accomplishing the project goal in the targeted time frame. This learning experience would be applied by me for making a career in the economic field of Australia in the future.
