My interests and goals
I like to spend time contemplating about my future and also dreaming about what I want to do in my life. I often times try to read books that I think would inspire me in the future to be a better human being. In my jobs, I tend to be as cooperative as possible. That is what I like the most doing at my job. As a hobby, I particularly have an interest in collecting stamps apart from reading books. Both of these activities occupy most of my time when I am not going out with my friends of studying.
My biggest drive is gathered from the need to change the world and understand how I can contribute in certain ways so that the community is served. Moreover, in my professional life as well, I intend to contribute in significant ways to drive betterment of the society. I would not say that I am not completely dissociated from being successful, but for me it is also important to be able to bring about considerable changes within the society. That is what drives me for developing as I know that it is only through development and by gaining knowledge that I would be able to bring about positive changes in the society.
I think having an ultimate goal is not possible as there are circumstances that I need to cope with and goals and achievements would change from time to time. Still, I think the drive to do better for the society would support my goal of a better tomorrow for the entire human race. At present, I am focussed towards gaining my University degree so that I can start progressing towards achieving my ultimate goal which would be important for me. Hence, the goals would change in keeping with the situations I deal with in my life.
I am good at observing. While this is not generally considered as an important strength of character, I think this has been important for me on several occasions. I have learnt to understand how people react when they encounter problematic situations by observing. This would be important for me in the future and in life general as I would know how to communicate with them and empathise with them. Alongside, I know that I am good at being responsive to people when they need me the most. I try to provide them with as much help as possible within my capability.
I need to work on my organisational skills. I can certainly be messy at times with no idea of what my time table is or where the book I was reading two weeks ago might be. This is going to pose hurdle in my professional life as organisational abilities define the discipline of character. Also, I feel it commands respect from others. Moving on, I would like to hone my organisational abilities. I also feel that I am sort of reticent when meeting people for the first time, for which reason I tend to be considered as arrogant. I would need to work on being more approachable.
My strengths and weaknesses
The various resources available at the University are surely to guide me in my work towards improvement. The timely exams and tests would support me in arranging my schedule and my deadlines accordingly. Simultaneously, I would be able to complete my work on time which would be a big step towards developing my communication skills. Additionally, I think the various workshops and seminars would help in being more confident about my own capabilities that would support my overall development and guide me effectively towards the achievement of my communication skills.
The changing scope of the market and the continuously evolving environment at present might be difficult to tackle. In this scenario it would be important for me to be able to continuously trying to change the scheme of the plan and keep on developing my skills as much as possible. This would certainly enable me to keep on driving forward towards the intended goal of having been able to understand the need of the situation and how I can be interested in the whole situation of trying to skilful in the future. Other students who are better might also pose probable threats, but the whole issue should be noted with regards to how one can constantly learn and develop within the whole scenario.

“Critically evaluate the statement that understanding organisational behaviour is important to organisational success”
Organisational behaviour is one of the most important aspects in modern day business. This is because of the increased Globalisation that has affected the managers of the companies to properly align their activities in order to gain the maximum understanding of how opportunities can be capitalised upon. As part of social science, organisational behaviour is generally understood as the collective way in which the various elements of the organisation including the employees would interact with the external environment (Zaabi, et al., 2017). Now, in the considerably changing environment, it has become certainly important to be able to understand how these changes can be accommodated. The aim of this essay is to identify the ways in which organisational behaviour is linked to organisational success. The main objective would be to define the way in which organisational process can be streamlined in order to accommodate the changes in the external environment.
Considering the fact that organisational behaviour is one of the critical issues of present day management, my strategy was to define the term within the scope of management. The key words that were used included “organisational behaviour”, “scope of organisational behaviour”, “organisational behaviour and organisational success” among others. These keywords were considered to be appropriate for the present scope of the study. This was decided on the basis of the fact that the discussion only required me to search for the most basic literature and previous studies in the form of the essay. In the future, if specific research papers are required to be developed then the scope of the literature search would be widened.
Additionally, the connection of the topic of the essay with other present day management terms including “globalisation”, “work force diversity” and “work-life balance” was considered among others (Kitchin, 2017) (Mahembe and Engelbrecht, 2014) (Gillespie and Reader, 2017) . This was done in order to understand how the essay topic can be used as a relevant topic at present and if it is related to the issues that are considered to be important by the present day managers. It was noted that organisational behaviour is certainly a comprehensive issue which would make it difficult to be discussed within the limited scope of one essay. In this regard, it was essential that the number of references and search items were limited so that it does not get confusing and distract the reader from the actual understanding of the discussion that is at hand. As a result, the limitations were set by noting the literatures that were only focussed on the success of the organisation that has been impacted by the organisational behaviour or the changes in it. Some of the other aspect of organisational behaviour was also considered like “improvement in knowledge sharing” (Chumg, et al., 2016), in order to just delineate on the issue of the organisational behaviour and how it can affect organisational success in various ways (Indermun and Bayat, 2013) (Abdul-Jalal, et al., 2013) (Owoyemi and Ekwoaba, 2014).
In the light of the above observations, it can be said that in case of future researches on the topic, the essay would certainly be helpful in providing a guideline and also as a background to the overall research.
