Project portfolio management is a centralized management of the different methods and processes associated with a project and further helps in analysing the process by which the project evaluate analyses the changes in the project. The project and the portfolio management is a centralized management process that is used by the project managers in collectively managing the key characteristics of the current as well as the proposed projects. The project and the portfolio management helps in easier documentation of the project progress and easier project sustainability. For accurate project and portfolio management, it is essential to understand the different processes of project progress and project management. This week’s learning has helped me in understanding the different project management approaches which were very helpful for me. Management of the programs and the portfolios are important aspect of project management since it helps in evaluation of the project. Project and portfolio management helps in ensuring easier resource available by regularly tracking the progress of the project. With accurate program and portfolio management, it is possible to increase the value output of an organization. |

It is essential to tack and manage the progress of a project and for that, use of certain relevant tools and techniques are essential. There are certain tools and techniques in project that ensure accurate project monitoring and project delivery. Choice of an appropriate tools and techniques is essential as it ensures that the project is implemented according to the need of the project. There are certain project scheduling tools such as MS Project that helps in accurate schedule of the project according to its activities and the deliverables. These tools and techniques are essential appropriate project implementation and mitigation of any risks and issues associated with a project. Other tools include risk management tools. |

A project should be executed according to the implementation plan that is prepared for a project. A planned approach of project implementation ensures accurate implementation of the project. |
