Conceptualization and Planning
Disucss about the Study Of Corporate Fighter Night Event Management.
The Corporate Fight Night event is a well-organized event. It is so organized that the event’s website boasts that professional and unprofessional boxers have not yet come across the expertise that goes into putting this event together (www.corporatefighter.com, 2018). The planning of an event takes the organizers and planners through all the areas and actions that have to be deliberated on, achieved and performed to guarantee that the occasion can be a success (Damm, 2012). The Corporate Fight Night is a charity event that involves boxers both professional and amateurs. To put together this event, the organizers start with conceptualization of the event and continue through to the planning stages where ideas are formalized into action plans.

To stage an event several factors are put into consideration such as the size of event, the activities involved so as to avail a field for play or an area for performance, transport and parking, proximity to accommodation facilities for the all the state holders involved, supply of goods and services, technical support as well as venue management (Tiew et al., 2015). With all these considerations in place the Corporate Fight Night is held at The Star Sydney which is a renowned entertainment venue.
Figure 2: The Star Sydney venue with ample sitting space and a gaming floor
The Star Sydney is an appropriate venue for this event as it has gaming floors; it has accommodation facilities, sufficient food supply points among other amenities. This venue ensures the comfort of all the stakeholders. The audiences are served with adrenalines filled bouts of boxing with each boxer having 3×2 minutes bouts. Before the day of the fight, the boxers undergo a 12month professional boxing training. Each boxer is expected to pay a registration fee as well as sell tables to family, friends, colleagues or any interested parties. The boxers are also tasked with the task of spreading the word regaining the event so as to get as many people on board as possible.
Multiple stakeholders contribute to the success of the Corporate Fight Night event. The event stakeholders are the people that affect or will be affected by the event (Eskerod et al., 2013). At this event, the stakeholders involved were the boxers, the event sponsors, the promoters, the event organizers, the coaches, the caters, the security providers, food and drink suppliers, cleaners of the venues, the accommodation providers, the parking and transport providers among other stakeholders. The local communities and the authorities are also stakeholders of this event. The media is also a stakeholder as they are involved in the promotion of the event.
Choosing The Star Sydney as the Venue
A good working relationship between all the stakeholders ensures the success of the event (Marsh et al., 2018). At this event, it was evident that there was cooperation among the stakeholders judging from the success that was experienced on the day of the event. This cooperation resulted in availability of participants, sponsors and media attention. Stakeholder cooperation means that the needs of the stakeholders are met to their satisfaction or to a level that they feel they can work with the event organizers. It also means organizing an event that is within the legal framework of the local and national laws. The local police department seemed to have been involved in the planning of this event as traffic flow to the venue was smooth. The event organizers had also created fliers and posters inviting the locals. This may have resulted them in participants from the local community.
On the day if the fight, the venue was abuzz with activities. From the boxers on stage to the back stage guys, there were a lot of people with different roles all for the success of this event. At the entrance, there were several security personnel ensuring that all those that entered the venue were safe. There was also presence of police officers who reinforced on the security team. At the parking lot, attendants made sure that everyone parked their vehicle correctly. Inside the venue, there were waiters and waitresses serving the audience, cleaners ensured that the place was clean and dry at all times.

The DJs were busy on the decks entertaining the audience as well as ushering in the boxers with personalized music. At the food court the attendants ensured that all that visited them were always well served. There were ambulances, and fire engines parked outside ready to attend to any emergencies. For the roles to have been carried out to the required perfection there must have been effective leadership (Abson, 2017). The host of the day made the audience informed on the happening of the evening keeping them entertained. Photographers were also keen to take the best shots at the event. Besides the people who would be seen working there were also roles such as the lights technician who worked behind the scenes. The sound technician who made sure that the right volumes are what the people here received, the guys who made sure that the dustbins were emptied at the right time, the time keepers among others.
Roles of Stakeholders
The event was overall remarkable. Events are especially profitable to the local community economically as well as socially (Thomson et al., 2013). There had to be permits and licenses for this event to take place. Payment for this means revenue is earned by the local authority (Maguire et al., 2017). There were short term and long term jobs that arise so as to organize this event and to make the material day a success. The participants spend their money at the event of food, marketing merchandise for sale at the revenue giving profits to the companies involved. This event is organized for charity purposes. The success of the event means that the targeted charity programs will be financed. More successful events in a year mean more profits and funding (French et al., 2018). The event attracted visitors and tourists as well as attracting global attention for The Star Sydney venue. The event was also an opportunity for sponsoring companies to market their brands.
There had been a lot of media presence of this event. From the attendance, it is right to conclude that the event lived up to the media hype. The hype created a lot of expectation from the audience. Most of the tables were occupied and most of those in attendance appeared happy meaning that the organizers had lived up to what they had promised those who would attend. There were was plenty to eat as well as constant supply of drinks. There were no major incidents that occurred and all the boxers were safe and they played within the guidelines of amateur boxing authorities. From the website, the audience was promised a two course meal and that was served timely and professionally, a fully licensed bar and therein was a vast variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Professional MCs, DJs and ring girls were also promised and the organizers did not disappoint on that. The organizers also promised the Event’s schedule of events with comprehensive boxer information, personalized appearance music for each boxer, Charity sale & raffle, skilled photographers, and professional recording of the event. The end of the event revealed a good working relationship with all the stakeholders as the event ended at a success.

Much as the event of May 2018 was a success and so are the previous years, the organizers of the event can still do more so as to reach more people in need. As it is today, the fight night attracts mostly boxing fans. This could mean a limited audience. There potential in expanding the audience base. Including other sporting activities that can be incorporated in the same venue and at the same time can be an added advantage. Organizing a series of events maybe over a period of about a week could also help attract more people to the event and support the goal of the organization.

There is more that can be done in the promotion of the event. Striving to reach a global audience would mean more tourists from all over the world. Social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter among others, have the potential to drive an idea to the world if well utilized. Having more activities that will accommodate all generations as well as a an event that families can attend. All these moves are geared towards attracting a bigger audience. Changing the venue in Australia could also be of benefit. Die hard followers will follow the event to wherever it goes, however a new location may attract new audiences who may later become diehard followers.
