The information and communication technology has helped in satisfying the needs of the human in perspective to their daily lives. The technology has helped in ubiquitously providing better access to the services so that the needs of the humans can be satisfied. However, this technology is only available to the standard users and not to everyone, which has proved to be a disadvantage among the users. This has restricted the use of the technology from a certain section of people living in the society who may have some special needs (Jewitt, Bezemer && O’Halloran, 2016). The proper use of the channels of communication has to be done so that it can help in getting better access to the technology that is available to the users. These services can be accessed with the help of phone calls but maybe a problem for the people who are deaf or are impaired with their vision. The rise in the age of the population has created a problem, which has led to the lower use of these communication channels within the society (Dobson & Dobson, 2017).
According to Ezzo (2016), these problems of the users can be dealt in another way by selecting an alternative method of communication, which is the non-verbal way of communicating. This can be done by using the short messaging service, which is commonly known as SMS. These can be a solution for the elderly people who are living within the society but not for the other people who are physically disabled and suffer from impaired vision and hearing. There has to be a universal solution for these people so that it can help them during the time of emergency.
Bargenda (2015) was of the opinion that the designing through the use of semiotics have been adapted at an early stage by the engineers so that it can help them in understanding the designs that are available in the field of architecture. It has been used for the purpose of engineering and designing the industries so that the level of communication can be increased. It also helps in solving the problems by designing the projects through the aspect of semiotics, which helps in understanding it in a better manner. according to Papandreou (2014), the use of semiotics can be done for representing a particular aspect of the art so that it can help in interpreting the relationship between the final product and the design. The special components that is present in the integrative procedure along with the moment when it has to be criticized. The process of designing has a close relationship with the products and its usage, which helps in applying the design through cultural sensitivity.

According to Chandler (2017), the designers have to work in achieving a goal with the help of semiotic means so that it can aesthetically help in valuing the cultural and the social factors. Designs do not require a great deal of semiotics especially in typography and the communication that is specialized in nature. The adoption has to be based on a certain kind of design so that it can help in understanding the other signs that are equivalent to the structure. The logical structure has to be understood so that the particular designs and its operations can be done in a panlogical manner.
Cheregi & Adi (2015) was of the opinion that the Saussurean model helped in understanding the sign that will help in forming the relationship between the signifier and the signified. This model helps in understanding the meaning that is being conveyed by the signifier in to a meaningful message by the signified. The sign has to be a combination of the regular symbols, which needs to be identified by the signified so that they can understand the message that has been conveyed to them. Therefore, the linguistic signs that have been developed through this model are immaterial in nature. The immateriality tends to be neglected in the popular commentaries and the dialogs that are being taken place between two people.
These can be done by following the method of iconography where the analysis can be done through the use of motifs, symbols and characters in the form of art. This was firstly developed by Erwin Panofsky, which helped in studying the motifs during the medieval era and is used in the modern day to understand the epochs of the figurines (Mingers & Willcocks, 2017). The use of iconography can be done by three layers, which can be classified as representational meaning, iconological symbolism and iconographical symbolism. The representational meaning can be recognized by the natural and the primary matters that are present in the meaning so that the meaning can be understood in a conventional manner. The iconographic symbolism is where the concepts and the ideas are closely linked with the motifs, which can be identified by the person after seeing it (Meyer et al., 2013). For instance, the crown that is worn by a man can represent him as the king. The iconological symbolism is attached with the certain themes from where they have to be analyzed by the people. These visuals can only be identified with objects and concepts that are similar so that the picture can be identified through the psychology of the person. The analysis that is done through iconography is based on a though and idea, which has to be analyzed in a qualitative manner (Wood, 2014).
The Role of Semiotics within Design Context
The semiotic method on the other hand helps in studying the signs and understands its meaning. The process of semiosis is connected with the reception and the communicating the idea related to the meaning that can be understood through the picture. The use of semiotics is done heavily in the advertising industry, which depicts a picture in different colors and shapes for the people to understand the message that is being conveyed through it (Cheregi & Adi, 2015). The information that will be conveyed through the advertisement has to be understood by the consumers so that it can help in relating them with the brand that is being advertised by them. The use of the linguistic message is related to the message that wants to be conveyed, which acts as a anchor for the advertisement. The use of narrative representations is also done in the semiotic method, as it helps in unfolding the actions and the processes so that the participants can understand the situation that is taking place (Chandler, 2017).
The teachers of semiotic act as designers who help in explaining the complex factors that is present within the study. The factors are not static in nature and keeps on changing, as it gets created every time in a new manner. the understanding regarding the designs have to be clear so that it can provide better control to the designers while working with it for its success (Emiroglu, 2017). It also helps in understanding the reality and does not take for granted the things that do not exist in the present world. The reality is based on the intentions that are put forward by the engineers so that it can be interpreted according to the work that is being done by them. The use of the media has to be done in a proper manner so that the right message can be conveyed to the consumers regarding the brand that wants to be advertised (Sanchez, 2017).
The use of language has undergone major transformation in the communication that is face-to-face so that the inventive manner of the human can transcend through the limitation of the time along with the spaces. The phonogramic system of representing the ideas made it possible for the transformation of the speech in to various records that helped in understanding the messages that needs to be conveyed (Wood, 2014). The use of applied semiotics is applicable in the context of designing as well, which follows the rule of sign language. The modern methods of communication can be done by choosing a medium, which will suit them according to their needs. The design cannot be a universal method that is being applied in the part of semiotics, as it can be misinterpreted by different people. Semiotics when used as a system in the process of communication helps in understanding and using it in an effective manner, which leads to the generation of different answers and result in solving the problems regarding the message. The right technology has to be chosen so that it can help in solving the problems that are related to the communication (Bargenda, 2015).
Thus, the use semiotics can help in the evaluation and the analysis of the signs by integrating it in a broader manner through the help of visual communication. It also helps them in understanding the values that are present in the implementation process by considering the needs of the humans. It has also helped the people who have physical difficulties to communicate in an easier manner due to the advent of the technologies.
