Assumption 1: Proper design of interactive and user-friendly Interface – It is one of the vital assumptions considered for this particular project. In recent days busy life, people always demands for simple and less time-consuming interface to use. Hence, the design of this simple and interactive user interface helps to make customers happy and to attract large numbers of customers to purchase and visit the products in repeated manner.
Assumption 2: Proper design of the responsive user interface – Need to have the proper designing of interface with high responsiveness so that all users can view the site from all different devices like laptop, desktop, mobile, tablet etc.
Assumption 3: Proper input of valid details in the content management system – In this particular user interface it is needed to have the proper view and search box depending on the needs of all types of users so that they can have the exact details of content management system that allows the organization to deliver perfect products in the mentioned address. This is one of the basic assumptions that occur the potential impact in both the delivery and scheduled company daily functionalities. However, the proper content mainly allows both the users and company to underestimate in easy manner based on efforts level and coordination. Furthermore, all input information must be engaged with the internal content team that mainly helps to do proper manage of information along with the identification of gaps to produce the sufficient amount of quality content. Apart from that, to provide information to all managers and stakeholders of the gift shop company helps to prioritize both efforts and triage to do more marketing as well as selling of products in online media. It is also needed to remove various outdated information and old content at the time of designing of e-commerce site for the online presence of Gift’s Galore gift shop.
Project Scope
Assumption 4: Formatting and size– The website interface needs to be more dynamic along with the five pages design based on the content complexity and different available options for selling products. The designing of website needs to be 0cm margin along with 14-size font size. The font family of the interface is Arial along with one single color and proper line spacing.
Assumption 5: Baseline Inputs – In this particular interface, it is needed to have proper representation of organization is the proper format of baseline definition depending on the functionalities that mainly applied and accepted based on system Z. Different baseline definition that has mainly followed to design the user interface are mentioned below –
“Schedule A: CLARIFICATION DOCUMENT;
Technical and Financial Proposal for SYSTEM Z (395-1.4-1-1.0), COMPANY ABC, May 2, 1994;
XYZ Request for Proposal 008 D 94 PBS 70 – SYSTEM Z;
The precedence of these documents and other project deliverables is defined in the Statement of Work;”
On the other hand, except both gap analysis and content audit, it is discussed that the proper effort level is mainly needed to have the design of a responsive interface developed for this gift shop named Gifts Galore. Moreover, this particular company arrange different customized training programs including CMS training which helps develop easy way of purchase of products from the gift shop. Rogowski et al., (2014) discussed that both the acceptance plan and testing plan are mainly incorporated in the interface content based on quality analysis of this particular interface.
Dumais et al. (2016, January) discussed that the whole design process of the website is not like other different communication process. It also discussed that interaction design of the website need to be familiar along with proper communication plan, creative design, development modeling and a proper public relation plan etc. There are different characteristics of interaction design that need to be followed for these designing projects are mentioned below:
Criteria of the design process based on user requirements: In this project, it mainly discussed about all needs of the users depending on age variation that helps to have the proper evaluation of project design. The design of the project mainly focused on simple and easy manner of interaction for the Gift’s Galore shop (Rogowski et al., 2014). The users are also involved with the design processes to complete this particular design.
Design Process Interaction: it is discussed that the interaction of design mainly allows refining the responses based on the user feedback. Hence, this particular design is mainly created with the particular process by applying proper font size and color (Xie et al., 2015). Every contents and options is get clearly visible to the user in the interaction project.
Project Requirements
Specific Usability and Goals of User Experience: the goal of this particular design project is mainly represent the interaction based on the online presence for this particular organization named as Gift’s Galore gift shop (Almakky, Sahandi & Taylor, 2015). Hence, the designer mainly used low fidelity prototype design based on the low development cost. Apart from that, it also allows the proof of concept in proper manner. It also helps to evaluate the multiple design concept as well as some useful communication devices for all users.
Apart from that, some of the activities that mainly followed to do the interaction design of the project are discussed below:
Development of Alternative Design: For this particular design, the detailed design and conceptual design are mainly followed in this project. The Index cards for this interaction are 3 x 5 inches. All cards of interaction mainly represents in the part of screen (Hsu & Shiau, 2013). The interaction also prepares some more expectation based on the wide range of functionality as well as also kept precise in details. It also have details of different functions like product details, tracking of order etc.
Development and Identification of user requirements: in the starting of the design, all demands of requirement for users need to be maintained. The design mainly follows the transformation of different user requirements into conceptual model. It is also described that the process of interaction design mainly analyzed based on different proposed and imaginary situations like product details, adding of products to cart before proceeding with the purchase. In the developed website, there is also the facility of zoom-in and zoom-out functions for the users that helps to explore the products in proper manner.
Develop with the Interactive Version of Design: to do the proper evaluation of design, the interactive version is mainly used in this particular project. Larsson (2016) mentioned that in this project, different interaction design are used like individual design, pattern design, and language design etc. Moreover, Low, Hui and See (2015) discussed that different system analysis and open source components are used based on different required tools and environments. Some of different elements of concrete design are used in this project like directive links, buttons, interactive design etc.
Develop Interaction Version of Design: To evaluate all demands of users are discussed based on the interaction design projects. The interaction design mainly reduces the confusion between both the designers and users. Rahmanian and Davis (2014, May) mentioned that the interaction version that are mainly used in this particular project are paper based prototypes and role playing users.
Assumptions
The usability testing is one of the important parts of user-centered design for this particular e-commerce website. To get effective results, the testing is mainly required to be performed at the time of doing implementation as well as designing phase. The design process of this website is get divided into 6 phases and the designers are mainly required to get back to previous stage if all the errors are mainly identified in the next stage and also do the correction of errors. Some of different stages that are mainly identified for this particular website and different testing errors are mentioned below:
Problem Definition- This is the first stage of functional specification based on the requirement and development of the interface.
Analysis- This particular stage mainly discussed about the conceptual analysis of the interface design that developed based on the system requirements.
Design- The system requirement is mainly analyzed based on the low level design of the interface depending on the working principles of the system.
Development- The system is created as well as tested based on the project requirements.
Implementation- in the implementation stage, it discussed about the developed user interface that is mainly created to have proper interface design as well as different functionalities of the interface to do the development of full functional system.
Maintenance- both the changes and correction that are mainly done to have proper development of the project are mainly performed in this particular stage. In this stage, it also deals with errors that are mainly identified in system gets resolved from maintenance phase by doing changes in the functional modules.
The usability testing is mainly performed by doing the proper use of two different types of approaches like experimental approach and heuristic approach.
The experimental approach is mainly used for doing the proper testing at different levels of this particular developmental cycle are discussed below:
Exploratory- Rehberg et al., (2015) discussed that this type of testing is mainly done in the intial phase of the development process by doing the proper use of different functional specifications of the project based on that different high level designs are also established. The important goal of this testing is to do the proper analysis based on the representation of conceptual model and different participants of the testing are both designer and different users. The designer mainly collects all types of data and information by doing the proper type of qualitative analysis and also indentified different errors and different components that are missed based on the design inclusion.
Assessment- it performs the proper analysis of different conceptual model and also undergone with different activities to have the proper analysis of both functionalities and errors of the system.
Validation- this is mainly performed to have the proper analysis as well as authentication mainly used for all users at the time of logging into the system under the realistic scenario to purchase the products from this particular website.
Comparison- this particular interface design is mainly compared with different available designs for all the users and the decision is mainly taken to choose the proper design that is best suited as the interface of website.
On the other hand, the other type of approach is the heuristic approach. In this approach, Rehberg et al. (2015) discussed it is mainly used to ask the group of evaluations concerning both the preferences and the evaluation of interface design based on their attributes. This particular design also share different feedback to users and modified to be more interactive to assist all users so that they can have proper understanding about the website.
