AB Pty Ltd: Delivery Company in Austin Downtown, Texas, USA
This project aims to create a simulating environment which is based on cloud and it also helps to understand and identify the problem stated in the provided case study by using the analysis tools available in IBM blue mix. The AB pty. Ltd is a delivery company and it has 3 trucks to deliver the products for third parties. This company has their set deliver zone and it covers an area. Generally, this company delivers the products 5 times per a day but the trucks current average is only 3 times per day. So, the company general manager was decided to appoint a business analyst to identify the potential causes of the delay to create the new smart application to simulate the trucks movement. This process will be analyzed and discussed in detail.
The IBM blue mix is used to create and develop the web applications to provide the effective cloud based smart application. To develop a web application by using the below steps,
First, login the IBM Blue mix account by using the below link (Sadulov & Indihar S?temberger, 2016).

To login an IBM blue mix by enter the login ID and Password.
Then, launch the IBM cloud and it done by view the left navigation and select the dashboard. After, click the catalog to view the service list. Here, we will create the new smart applications for cloud foundry. It is shown below.
Here, we will select the cloud foundry application from the service list. This process is used to create the application without infrastructure. Then, click the SDK for the node. It is shown below. Once it is opened, the SDK for the node is providing the application and host name and it will create the application (Hybrid Cloud Event Integration, 2016).
Once cloud foundry without infrastructure application created and then creates the database by using the data and analytics services to create the new data base. The IBM blue mix is provided to see the third party data base also by using the data analytics services. It is shown below.
To create the new database by click the DB MYSQ. After, establish the database connection. Then, it deploys the application. Once data base was created successfully, then deploy the connection by view the left navigation pane to click the connection. It is shown below (Ibm Redbooks., 2015).
If database connection is successfully created and established, it will initialize the instance of the new smart applications. In view tab, user will be seeing the initialization of the application. After, user needs to click the right side navigation pane for edit or configure the cost. This code will be based on the user requirement. It is shown below.
Understanding the Problem and the Need for a Smart Application
After, the IBM blue mix development screen will be shows the configuration file. Here, we will edit the code, deploy and build; truck and plan tabs which are presented in the right side of the navigation pane. The code is edited by using the edit code option and it is edit whether application or configuration file. It is shown below.
If code edit is completed, after deploy the file. Then choose the red button on the centre of screen and the pop up window will be opened to ask whether we have to redeploy the file or not. Here, we can select the redeploy if we went otherwise click cancel. It is shown below (Ohri, 2014).
After, click OK button and the GIT repository window will be opened. If user needs to edit the file, the IBM blue mix is allowed to edit the repository file. In right side bottom, the configuration file is displayed and here also user can edit the file if we want. Finally, user has to commit the file by clicking the commit button which is presented in the right side corner. It is shown below.
In the left side of the window, the changed file details are displayed once every process is completed. After, user has to click the push button. It is shown below (MAHMOOD, 2016).
Finally, it will be create deploy and build state in few seconds. Once, build and deploy state is created and it will be display the successful acknowledgement message. It is shown below.
Then, click the last execution result and it will be shows the deploy application successful message. It is shown below.
Business Problems
The AB pty. Ltd is a product delivery company and it has 3 trucks to deliver the products for third parties. This company has set of deliver zone and it covers an all the area. Generally, this company delivers the products 5 times per a day but the trucks current average is only 3 times per day. So, the company general manager was decided to appoint a business analyst to analyze the valuable reasons for the delay to create the new smart application to simulate the trucks movement. It’s because of their poor service to deliver the products. So, delayed product delivery gets very poor feedback and they are extended out the queue. So, the customers are not satisfied with their services. The company needs to create the small application and it is used to solve this problem. This application is used to see the product delivery status. To create the small application by using the IBM Blue mix services. The problem will be identified in many ways like the running of truck failed unfortunately, the product delivery time extended out of queue and out of station (Antonopoulos & Gillam, 2017).
Creating a Simulating Environment Using IBM Bluemix
We can solve this problem by create the truck based smart applications. Because, this company delivers the products 5 times per a day but the trucks current average is only 3 times per day. So, this problem is needed to resolve by creating the smart application by using IBM Blue mix services. IBM Blue mix has lots of services.
- In product delivery, North, south east and west are the four regions. By using these regions, the product delivery locations are easily identified. We can also communicate with the truck drivers.
- Here Geospatial Analytics service will be used to monitor the Location of device.
- The admin and the truck drivers will be notified when there is any problem occurrence.
- The benefits of this application are given below. The vehicles details like the problems in the vehicles will be shown. Then, the problem in the vehicle will be shown before it is used to deliver the products (Meinhardt & Reinheimer, 2016).
The telemetry data are used to visualize the company information and it put the effort that goes into effectively analyzing, utilizing and managing the company information. It is used to display the company data and it needs to start with the function. It easily understood the company function to reduce the everything without sacrificing the organization needs and objectives. It easily enables the data collection from the remote points to support the vehicle tracking visualization, analysis and monitoring. It easily contributes to implement the virtual images of the trucking system to provide the effective processes on the basic of real products from the factory. It increases the factory performance to predict investigate and failures problems. It is used to reduce the costly downtime.
Here, we will deploy and configure the smart application by using the IBM blue mix software.
Vehicle tracking system
First, login to the IBM Blue mix services. It is shown below.
After, the IBM blue mix creates the Internet of things instance by using the internet platform services in the IBM dashboard. Then, it configures the IoT foundation from the dashboard. Once configuration is completed, then select the device type and enter the device ID and name. Then select the add API and Generate the key of new API. It is shown below.

After, download the starter kit. Then, configure and deploy the start kit. The own project will be created by using the fork project and the edit code and modified manifest.yml file is selected by closing it with its repository file. Then open the settings and config.jsr file to store the all the devices information and the data of API key configuration. After, enter the vehicle for Enter Vehicle for iot_device Type, enter Organization ID (six-characters) for iot_device Org, enter the created API key for iot_api Key, enter the token and ID for three devices which is registered for iot_device Set, enter the API key token for iot_api Token and save it (Cloud computing, 2013).
Use this URL https://api.ng.bluemix.net to check the created application in IBM blue mix services. Create a Geospatial analytics and configure it and it used to identify the regions. In IBM blue mix application dash board, select the add services and click free. After, create button to get the new service in our new application. Then bind the geospatial analytics and starter ket with IoT application. Start the services by uses the below URLs. Then, click the alert button to view the process.

Then, tester has sends the commands to corresponded vehicles and it are used to bind the map application. After, Set Property command and then dynamically the change our own application properties and speed etc. It is shown below.
To create the small applications based on truck delivery system by using the IBM blue mix service. The difficulties are addressed by the smart applications takes the time to create the vehicle tracking system. It leads to data collection by using the debug. So, it was facing the lot of difficulties. These are listed in below (Cloud Computing, 2010),

This project is successfully created the smart application for AB pty Ltd Company because this company has 3 trucks to deliver the products for third parties. So, it needs to create the new application by using IBM blue mix. It was created successfully and discussed in detail.
