Recording and Reflecting
The current scenario of business is changing rapidly and the companies are trying to innovate to capture the market (Caniëls and Rietzschel, 2015). I had a great experience evolving my creativity through this project and module that gave me a deep insight of knowledge about how to be an entrepreneur by thinking out of the box and providing the solution for the users. Before preparing the session, I was briefly described the creativity a person should enhance to come up with a new idea. The module and the lectures that I received have helped me to gain true insight into creativity through tasks completion and brainstorming. The modules, workshops and lectures described theories and certain concepts that helped to understand to make useful strategies and research to complete the project. With the help of modules and workshops, I learned about the true nature of bringing creativity to myself through reasoning and understanding. The business creativity module helped me to identify unusual ideas through divergent and convergent thinking. I have also learned about the Six Thinking Hats model that provided me to think differently in every aspect but the goal will have to remain persistent. The model has helped me in giving me an idea of proper research of data for bringing new ideas through a logical approach and also help in overseeing the situation of making my project. In order to complete my project, I learned how can I broaden my thinking capabilities and evaluate and implement the plan for gaining rightful information. Through the business model, I learned to recognize opportunities that can be implanted to generate business. The module has also helped me to understand the requirement of innovation in creativity. (Kivunja, 2015).
I also learned different entrepreneurial approaches to be more creative and how to provide value to the project through constant exploration of the existing market. the business model theories helped me to understand the importance of recognizing the target market and the value my project is going to provide to my audience. Being a student the basic knowledge is to first complete a task provided to you through creativity and deep research for becoming successful in the future. The business model helped to find the right resources to complete my project. The study has helped me understand how business works through identifying the key requirements of the customer and meeting the demands of what changes are required. I learned about different external and internal forces that are required to perform the analysis of the current market better. The business creativity module helped me in learning about various factors like competition, capital markets, and global market conditions for Start-ups generation (Goller, I. and Bessant, J., 2017). I also learned about the development of existing business through product innovation and maintaining customer relationships. The main feelings I had when I was learning is the scope the module is providing to me to gain more knowledge and experience and to justify different solutions in different situations. The critical thinking power of advancing in the future that I was slowly getting was going to make a deep impact on my life. From creativity, I learned about collaboration and partnership bot in business and real-life. I felt that I aim in a right place to gain my important degree, as well as the module, has also provided me with real insight into of current value of learning new business ideas and strategies to apply in the future (Schermerhorn and Bachrach, 2020).
Analysis of Creativity and Innovation Skills
Through the module, our group was given a task to perform based on presentation and notes. The group was divided into several parts as each one has to bring unique to the table through research and development of ideas. I and my group decided to work on individual topics resembling each one strength and weaknesses in different topics. I and my group further decided to use creativity and innovation to find new solutions and add value to the project. Using the Six hat model we decided to bring new opportunities based on different perceptions in our table regarding the finding and from there the best findings were taken, as our ultimate goal was to develop an informative presentation that can capture the audience (Aithal and Kumar, 2017). The group dynamics and easy allocation of tasks with the support and understanding of mine and colleagues helped us to gain successful knowledge throughout the presentation. Talking about the good experience was proper knowledge was gained and different people in the group had different creative ideas that helped me to illuminate my views. The constant approach of positive debate through the business creativity module helps us understand the value of innovation and a positive approach towards our mission. The bad experience consists of limitation of the scope of thinking new ideas and bringing a new version of findings to apply more impact on the audience and getting good reviews. We require more self-training of approaching and the ability to generate knowledge and awareness to be more impactful in the future (Schillemans and Robinson, 2015).
The need to conduct more research and expansion my creativity and think out of the box to gain more ideas to classify my requirements. I need to focus on my team management skills to add more value to the group in the future. Personal development can be occurred through constant grinding and adoption of new perspectives to eventually get the main idea of being creative (Hughes et al. 2018). I need to focus on the requirements of the project in order to bring new enhancements. Constant learning and improvement in techniques in identifying the key problems of personal limitations will help me gain perfect solutions. in order to increase future performance, I need to first bring efficiency in my work through creativity and idea generation leading to innovation. I should rectify my skills and should solely focus on concepts and ideas that are suitable for their true motive and purpose. I need to be an entrepreneur in the future and for that, I need to identify the opportunities and also develop managerial skills in order to bring efficiency to my future performance. In the current scenario, the module and session on business creativity have developed my thinking capacity and have also shown a pathway to bring innovation through creativity. (Osterwalder et al., 2015).
The project that we worked upon was based upon the brand called Blackberry( RIM). The creativity and innovative ideas that were taught us during the session have made a huge impact in developing my skills through innovation and creativity (Goller, I. and Bessant, J., 2017). Using the six hats thinking model that we decided to implement during organising groups help me and my colleague to gather new data and facts about blackberry. This model has also helped us in generating creativity by bringing variability through review and different approaches. The model has helped us develop our skills through different approaches and helped in enhancing my problem-solving skills. the presentation on company blackberry has also applied the 9 building blocks of the business model canvas (Lee-Post, 2019). These blocks helped us in understanding the company’s customer segments for example the company has targeted a niche segment to enhance its business catering to special customers who love durability and security features. I also learned about the value proposition of the company to the customers. From the mobile market to the software department the company has differentiated its product line due to arise of the innovation of other brands. This helped me to upskill my knowledge in organisational perspective and helped me to understand the frequent change of creativity and innovation by competitors that can disrupt the well-established market (Ali Taha, Sirkov and Ferencova, 2016).
The key resources and the key activities blocks have helped us to create the presentation while evaluating the company’s main assets and business activities through implementation. The business model canvas has helped me and my colleagues to identify a framework for the company in acquiring its innovation skills and development skills to date and has also helped us to identify the main strength and weaknesses of the brand in terms of productivity. (Murray and Scuotto, 2015). The business creativity model also helps to analyse the SWOT analysis of the company. This model has helped us gain the main market opportunities of the company in recent times and also the combining threats that the market has presented in front of the company. The analysis has helped me gain knowledge about the technological skills that the company possesses and has also helped us in refining our project and also helped to understand the customer segments. The use of theory and modules has helped me and the group to gain the requirements of creativity for future opportunities. The use of theories such as value proposition and customer segments has helped me to provide recommendations to the company about the change in business models in order to gain growth in the rapid growth of the creative market. The module has helped us in understanding the change of value proposition required by the companies in this era with new products and services in order to bring sustainability to the business (Chen et al., 2021). Through the Creative Process of the workshop and individual learning me and my colleagues has projected the value of presentation through using knowledge of all members and applied technique for generating ideas through research and has also implemented the finding in the presentation. These findings have helped me in gaining team management skills for example delegation and team building which helped me to build relationships and better communication with my group. The module has also helped me to form decision-making incorrect format so that more creativity can be brought into the presentation. The module has helped in creating the personality building of my career as it has enhanced my human ability and also helped me to enhance creativity (Keane, Cormican and Sheahan, 2018).
My main focus of mine was to develop my entrepreneurial skills through creativity. I have developed skills in recognizing the market capabilities through various factors. The factors include a creative approach of entrepreneurship through the development of new products and services, checking the price factors and the target segment of the company, and also knowing the push innovation of the company through constant research and development. The Business model canvas has also provided me the insight of focusing on knowing the key resources, value generation, value chain, cost structure and the competitive strategy of the companies to develop my creative skills in the business field. The business model canvas has helped me discuss the issues of blackberry through visual thinking which helped me and my colleague to explore new ideas in developing habits (Carter and Carter, 2020). The business creativity model helped me to create a positive approach in the planning of the presentation and the following tools required to enhance the findings of the presentation. The 9 blocks of the business model have enlarged my views in developing customer relationships and also channels required by the company to communicate with customers to capture the market and also to expand the reach of the company. The business model lens has provided me and my colleagues with an understanding of market challenges and opportunities by developing our creative skills through which we can identify our problems in the future and also bring efficiency in the development of new ideas (Ukhalkar et al., 2020).
Conclusion
The following essay is a reflection of my approach towards the understanding of creativity and innovation in business gathering knowledge from workshops, sessions and different modules. The session and lectures have helped me to bring a personalized approach of self-reflection in conducting presentations through different theories and skills. Creativity is required for each individual and company in generating new ideas in this rapid change of technology in order to gain market penetration. The lectures and modules have enhanced my team-building skills creating new relationships through healthy communication. The tools and theories with an elaborate approach have provided my group to have a complete idea of building a presentation for Blackberry representing the key factors and frameworks to learn the business model and business capabilities of the company. Analysing my skills in management and creativity the module has helped me and the team to understand the required process building of thinking laterally and also helped us to gain future scope and opportunities in business creativity.
