One of the major problems that the modern day company fails to understand and should start implementing upon is the introduction to good HR and development policies that will help the organization to retain the employees of the firm (Daley, 2012). In addition, the other that requires equal importance are operational policies and the finance policies of the company. There are a number of factors that effect the overall happenings of the brand and make sure that the employees are thoroughly interested in staying with the organization for the longest period. The following paragraphs deal with the different aspects of human resource and recruitment and the ways in which similar problems can be solved using proper HR measures.
XYZ Enterprises is one of the biggest organization that provides science services to the state of Alberta and is one of the most profitable enterprises of the past. However, in the recent times the whole institution is facing a debacle situation with the amount of profit reducing drastically and more and more number of employees resigning the company, including the ones that were loyal to the brand for a considerable time.
The problems faced by the brand can be categorized into a number of sections including marketing, finance and operations. All the teams along with their subordinates are facing considerable amount of set back in terms of issues related to the workings and modulations of the organization. There are a number of problems that the company has faced which has led to the situation that has marked the brand as one of the least trusted brands among the employees and customers.
The recruitment and the retention of employees has been a major issue that the company has faced in recent times. The situation is so worse for the company that most of the employees are leaving the company within their first year of working for the brand. The recruitment and retention process needs a revamping as most of the employees who are working under the brand are facing serious security issues that has made the company weak and prone to resigning.
Recruitment of the organization is to be done following the need and merit basis and the employees employed in the brand should be made to undergo certain tests and theories to make the process smooth and hassle-free 9 McGraw, 2013). The organization should follow the process of fair selection of the employees and should be allow the employees to present their merit and qualities before the company. The process will allow the company to filter the right employees for the right post and this in turn will make sure that the company has a profitable situation in the future.
The Different Problems Faced by the Company
The on boarding of the staffs should be done according to the merit of the employee and the department that the employee is posted in. During the process of on boarding, the employees should be given a fair knowledge of the work that the person is supposed to do (McNeill, 2012). In addition, the employees should be made aware of their job duties and made familiar with the other staffs and their duties so that the miscommunication among them reduces to negligible amount.
This will make sure that the employees who are new to the company have a fair idea about the job that the company expects the employees to perform. In addition, the work that has to be done by the employee should be assigned and allocated in a proper way to make the whole work accessible by the workers.
Staff orientation is one of the major factors that need to be addressed within the first initial days of joining a company. The operational managers as well as the other supervising heads of the organization should make the orientation of the staff so that the employees are unaware of the company rules and the default policies that the company is undergoing. The orientation of the staff should be done according to the needs of the institution and the new employees should be made aware of the job requirements and the benefits that the job can offer.
The orientation process should be made really accessible by the employers as the need to make the workers know about their job descriptions and the company policies is really important to make the workers be loyal to the company.
Performance management is one of the pivotal measures to make sure that the employees are working as per the requirements of the company. Performance management strategy can be defined as the strategic means to implement the ways and measures to measure the performance management of the workers (Buckingham & Goodall, 2015). There are different ways to measure the performance management strategy of an organization namely setting up goals, measuring the work done by the workers on the basis of production, measuring the rate of success by measuring a table and marking it accordingly and lastly evaluating the needful.
The organization should set up a goal keeping the profit margin in mind and to increase the profit of the institution. Then the company should assign workers and tasks according to the fulfilment of the goal and make sure that the workers are performing to the best of their capabilities.
The Importance of Recruitment and Retention
The measurement of the work done by the employee should be done either based on the production and sales that the employees bring along with them. The employees should be given enough freedom to conduct the whole business on their own ideas and the marketing team should be given enough freedom to make the customers believe in the strategies and planning of the organization.
The rate of success of the organization depends on the number of factors including the intentions and the loyalty feature of the workers in terms of the organization. The success rate can be measured by a table rubric that helps to determine the type of employee according to the production level.
Evaluation of the work should be done by the higher authorities of the organization to demarcate the productive and non-productive workers of the company. The evaluation is also needed to make the workers do better production for the brand.
The employees of the organization should be eligible for benefits given by the brand according to the rank and position that the company holds. The benefits that are provided by the company make sure that the employees of the firm are not attracted to a new company and get their required payments from the existing brand only.
The benefits given by the organization will make sure that the employee remains loyal to the brand and does not find the urge to shift from one company to other for greater benefits.
The discipline of the company should be made according to the rules and policies of the organization and should be made compulsory for the employees to follow. Due to the low discipline, the workers may find it really difficult to follow the rules and regulations that the company has imposed. The discipline policy should also make the whole workings of the company easy to operate by the authorities and will also influence the employees of the organization to be communicative and have a professional level of cordial nature.
The discipline policy of the company will make sure that the employee follows the same working policy and faces the same work requirements for the role assigned to them.
Complaint policy refers to the policies introduced by the organization where the workers can make and relate the complaints regarding their work and other employees. The complaint policy should be made in favur of the employees of the company so that the workers may feel their need and can express their problems and issues regarding the company without any hesitation. The anonymity policy should also be maintained at a priority level so that the employees can keep their identity anonymous if required.
The complaint policy of the organization will enhance the confidence of the employees and make them believe in the fact that the company and their authorities is there to listen to their problems and issues and find a solution according to the requirements.
The employee morale refers to the determination and enthusiasm that the worker shows while performing any task confidently in the organization (Sageer, Rafat & Agarwal, 2012). The employee morale of any company should be made positive so that the employee finds it easy to communicate their problems and do the work for the organization. The morale of the employee should be kept high also to make sure that the organizational population does not face any challenges for the workings and should be given enough boost to perform the task with effectiveness.

At the end, it can be concluded that with efficient practices, HR management can be done in an efficient way which will make sure that all the processes of the companies can be solved. The problems that have been aroused due to inefficient management and HR practices can be solved using fair means in the XYZ Enterprise leading to an efficient control over the employees. The different aspects of HR management with respect to recruitment have been stated and should be followed to get the desired results.
