The vision is to become most highly valued, loyal, committed and customer focused leading electronic products promoting and selling companies in United States (US). The company employs 250 staffs who serve to more than 20,000 customers.
The mission of the company is to be the champion for consumers by delivering best value, quality and convenience to customers. With customer focused service the company will be able to give tough competition to similar other service providers in US.
A vast business operational and functional analysis will be conducted to determine the current challenges and roadblocks. In order to fulfil the company vision and mission, the management has decided to implement a mobile app so that customers can select, book and buy their desired products from any location in US and time. A Startup mobile app development company will be contracted to design and launch the app within $68,712 and 4-months period. The objectives are presented specifically below-

The position of a company within the industry is dependent on the company’s profit and revenue. In order to become sustainable and competitive in the market, any company should keep focused on developing effective business strategy. The two commonly known competitive advantages that a company can possess are differentiation and low cost. The competitive advantages are combined with scope. Among cost leadership, focus or differentiation, the generic strategy that will be selected and applied for this company is focus. The generic strategy of focus depends on the choice of narrow competitive scope that too within a company. The focuser nominates a group of segment or single segment within the industry and tailors its business strategy for serving them to ultimate exclusion.
The business strategy- focus has two different variants that are – cost focus and differentiation focus. The target market of the company is both upper class and middle class, because the brands this company sells are little costly. In case of cost focus the company searches for cost advantages within the target market. On the other hand, in case of differentiation focus strategy the company keep searches for the differentiation in the target segment. Both the variants of the focus business strategies rely on differences between target segment and all other industrial segment. Cost focus helps to exploit specific need of the buyers in certain segments. As a whole it can be said that, among the three different business strategies focus in the strategy. It helps the business organization to keep focused on its mission, vision and objectives.
The nominated project that is implementation of a mobile app will help the company to reach to more customers easily. Focus strategy is essential to fulfil the mission and vision statement. If the company stays focused then, it will be able to reach the target customers more easily. Proper focus will help the company to reach more customers. It will also help the company to secure a position in the competitive market and competitive advantages as well.
In order to provide information service, the plan that will be used is comprises of three stages initiation, and planning, design, testing and closure.

- i) In order to align the business strategy with the IS strategy the strategic planning model that will be used is porter’s five competitive forces model. Porter’s five force of competitive position analysis model is one of the most widely used tools. This tool helps to identify the main competition sources within the industry. In order to stay competitive and sustainable in the market, the owner company should identify the competitor companies successfully and understand their business strategies. once the forces that are affecting the business will be identified the company management will be able to adjust their business strategies and boost up their productivity as well. It will again help the organization to stay ahead of all competition.in fact, an organization can take amazing advantages of strong position or implement improvement as needed.
Business Strategy – Focus
Alike porter’s five competitive force model, there are many strategic planning models available used by the professionals such as porter’s value chain, resource-based view model, co-operation model. The advantages of these models are different. However, based on this IS strategy, the porter’s five competitive force model is best suited because this is he simplest as well as effective business analysis tool used for determining whether the strategy has the ability to be profitable or not. The five forces model framework is comprised of five elements competition in the industry, potential of new entries in the industry, bargaining power of suppliers, bargaining power of the customers and threat of the substitutes services.
- ii) This strategic model is widely used by the organizational sales and marketing teams. Whether a specific market is worth moving into or not is determined easily with the help of this model.

Competition in the industry- The first action that, the sales and marketing team of Electro Empire should identify is examining he competitive market. This is the very first action an organization should take for establishing the names of the other existing competitors. Alike Electro Empire, in US there are many companies available who sales electronic products as a retail company. The marketing team should identify the existing rivals in the market. Apart from that, the marketing team also needs to determine their service and quality of products.
Potential new entries- Entry of a new company can also distract the position of electro empire from its root. Therefore, besides existing competitions the marketing team should keep focused in the possible new entries and their performance in the market. For instance, growing demand increases prices of products and lowering products prices increases the rate of sales. This analysis stage helps to consider the factors those can make the market very beneficial and effective.
Bargaining power of the supplier- This is the other factor, that the marketing and sales team needs to consider. The suppliers are allowed and authorized to charge and demand more for their products supplies with changing demands. The business profitability gets affected with this change. During the analysis stage, the marketing lead should not forget conduct vast research about the available suppliers. The expenses of the products are dependent on the suppliers changing demand.
Bargaining power of customers- the bargaining power of the customers are referred to as whether the customers have the ability to influence of the products and services in regards to the competitive products and service prices. During this analysis stage, the project manager and operation head should consider the numbers of buyers in the market and the expense of switching suppliers.
Threats of substitutes- In this evolving technical era, most of the businesses have become dependent ion technologies and technical advances. It indicates that, technologies can become obsolete very soon. Electro empire sales products of different well-known brands but not for all. Therefore, the company should keep analyze the market to ensure what are the other brands or products selling by other competitive companies. the company should ensure that, the consumers are not finding for other suitable service providers or organization. Therefore, the company should keep focused on quality and service analysis.
