The tasks are firstly structured in the order of their precedence and the decision for their suitable successors and processors are decided for their logical start and end correlating with the physical environment. The complete of one activity would only ensure the start of another. The various such conclusions were derived and the activity list is prepared in accordance. Figure 1: Activity chart The order of the activities is made clear in the above diagram.
The precedence factor of the tasks is also complied and can be witnessed in the above diagram.
It can also be seen that the above activities duration have been modified to a large extent. Some of the durations were inappropriate with regard to their logical time conclusions and ensure better suitability for the successful project completion in less time. Unless the date is decided, hall is booked and program decisions are made guests cannot be invited. Looking at the guest response list and other invitation list the preparations can be made for the headcount.

The critical and non-critical activities would ensure better synchronization of the project task execution. For this project, the various critical task and non-critical tasks are as follows: Figure 3: Critical and Non-Critical Activities The critical tasks are ones for this project which would ensure better concentration on them for meeting with the project schedule and desired activity level (Meredith, 2005). Figure 4: Network Diagram 1. Did you find this exercise useful?
Why or why not? Do you understand the chart you generated? This exercise is useful in the sense that rich project handling experience is witnessed and identification of project planning and organization is fostered.
It ensures better flair in the development of the projects and the main course action to ensure better schedule management. The primary cause is the deeper understanding of the critical parts of the project and ensures its better utility for the IT course.
It also relates back to the sound experience in evaluating project components and mapping with resources. The project management techniques enrich the very understanding of the project working scenario and prepare us to fetch the real life. The chart generated is the sequence of activities which is followed logically for the perfect finish of the project. It is also labeled with project resources which ensures project task responsibility and their accountability. 2. Would breaking this chart down into subprojects be more understandable?
Yes, certainly. The macro and micro level tasks would ensure better understanding of the classification of the project and a granular approach in perfect execution of the project. breaking down the chart into sub projects would enable a better picture of the project and the transparency in dealing with various tasks. It also fosters the development of responsibility assignment matrix which precisely maps the projects human resources with project tasks. 3. Describe your experience using Microsoft Project
Microsoft Project is an excellent GUI software to take care of every step of project management and ensure better depiction of project sections. The various sections like Gantt chart, project resources, project critical and non-critical sections, task usage, resource mapping, project cost tracking and further setting baseline and project milestones.
