“A Jury of Her Peers” is a short story about women in a small town in the early 1900s. The story is told from the perspective of the women, who are left alone in the kitchen while the men go off to investigate a murder. The women talk about their own lives and marriages, and they begin to piece together the events that led up to the murder. They realize that the victim was a victim of domestic abuse, and they decide to cover up the crime so that the abuser will not be caught.
