Anne Frank is a character in the play Anne Frank. She is a young Jewish girl who is forced to go into hiding during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. She and her family are hidden in a secret annex in an Amsterdam warehouse. Anne Frank keeps a diary during her time in hiding, which is later published as The Diary of a Young Girl. Anne Frank and her family are eventually discovered by the Nazis and are sent to concentration camps. Anne Frank dies in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
