“First Love” is a novel by Ivan Turgenev, first published in 1859. The novel tells the story of a young man named Vladimir Petrovich, who falls in love with a girl named Zinaida. However, Vladimir’s father does not approve of the relationship and forces Vladimir to break it off. Vladimir is heartbroken and leaves home to become a soldier. He eventually returns home and finds that Zinaida is now married to another man. Vladimir tries to forget about her, but he cannot. The novel ends with Vladimir’s death.
