In “Northanger Abbey,” seventeen-year-old Catherine Morland is invited to Bath to stay with her wealthy relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Allen. While there, she meets the Tilneys, a wealthy and attractive family. Catherine is immediately attracted to the eldest son, Henry, and he seems to return her interest.
However, Catherine’s view of the Tilneys is soon complicated by her discovery of a mysterious locked door in their home, which she is convinced is hiding a dark secret.
