Description
The organization and synchronization of activities to achieve the desired result in the particular period of time is called as Project. The relationship between processes, methodology, tools, technology, human resources, availability of resources on time, and others should be developed to attain the objective of the organization with ease. The strategies for the deployment of sequence of activities are building blocks of the project development life cycle. The purpose of this paper is to focus on the factors which are responsible for the success of the project. The project success is the main criteria for aligning the activities (Paul, 2007). The effectiveness of the project procedures can be enhanced with the active participation of the stakeholder. The working of the project can be affected by the successful implementation of the strategies. In this paper, we are looking in the direction to analyse the factors which helps in getting the desired result and the successful completion of the project.
The working employees and top executives should be critically aware about the activities which should be taken in the direction of project success. The project management body of knowledge (PMBoK) plays an important role to bring awareness in the top executives for setting of the project activities in order to resolve the complexity of the project.
The factors which are responsible and taken under consideration for the achieving the project success are categorised as involvement of the user, support from executive management, clear specification of the requirement from the user, planning of the project activities and strategies which should be undertaken, setting of the milestone for the completing the project activities, competency between the staffing, management of the ownership activities, demonstration of the clear objective, focused group of staff, and setting of the time line schedule (Ofori, 2013). The success of the project is primarily depends on the involvement of the user for completing the project activities within allocated budget and time. The focus should be given on meeting the requirement of the user which they are expecting as the outcome of the project. The top executive plays a major role in setting of the project activities and scheduling of time line for completing the undertaken processes. The estimation of the cost and time helps in utilizing the management process in the effective manner. The changes in project scope helps in developing the methodology to achieve good quality product. The testing of the processes helps in managing the quality control on the flow of project activity schedule. The development of the social culture within the working environment of the project plan helps in completing the project successfully without any conflict and chaotic environment.
There are several issues which plays the role of the barrier in completing project development life cycle and result in the project success. The focus should be given on the time, quality, and budget approved for completing the project activities. The planning of the activities should be systematically done for the project to get desired output. The availability of the resource on the demand of the working employees is the major concern for the completion of the project on time. The standard model should be used for planning the project activities. The vague visualization and communication will result into the failure of the project. The success of the project depends on the accuracy in the estimation of time and cost for setting the project activity plan. The chaos and conflict in the working culture of the organization is the major factor for the project failure. The strategic business plan should be developed for accomplishing the project activities with the approved, budget, time, quality, and resources. The focus should be given on analysing the skills and expertise of the employees for the distribution of roles and responsibilities for completing the project activity schedule.
Issues and Barriers to Project Success
The process of project management is equipped with the four phases for the successful completion of the project plan which are categorised as conceptualization framework of the activities, planning phase, implementation phase, and the closure of the project. The conceptualization of the activities helps in determining the clear specification of the project managing environment. The effectiveness of the project procedures can be enhanced with the active participation of the stakeholder. The selection of the project team helps in analysing the competency of the project (The association of project management, 2014). The setting of the priority is the major activity associated with the alignment of the scheduling plan. The changes in project scope helps in developing the methodology to achieve good quality product. The planning phase focuses on developing the strategies and the activities for completing the project with the time and cost. The goal of the planning phase is to provide quality product according to the specification given by the user at the starting should be met after the completion and handover of the product to the user. It helps in raising the trust and confidence on the enterprise which helps in aiding profit to the turnover of the organization. The selection of the team members helps in the distribution of the responsibilities according to the working capability of the participating units so that they can give their best for successful attainment of the project objective. The consistency and coordination between the activities should be given priority in the designing of the implementation plan of the project (Attarzadeh, 2008). The project control methodology should be adopted for providing good quality products at the end of the cycle. The closure of the project involves the adequacy in the project outcome for satisfying the requirement of the customers.
The Role of the project manager is considerable important for the designing of the project activities towards the goal set for the working of the organization. The activities should be developed in the structured format for the successful driven of the operational plan. The democratic style of the leadership should be adopted by the project manager because it involves the participation of the working employees in the setting of the activity plan for the success of the project. The participating units help in providing new ideas and vision on the common platform which can be taken under consideration if the outcome is the project success. The strategic business plan should be developed for accomplishing the project activities with the approved, budget, time, quality, and resources. The relevant information should be provided to the project manager on time to enhance his decision making capability. The communication should be properly managed between the different participating units (Beleiu, 2015). The project manager should actively participates in the setting of the goal, selection of the procedures and processes, managing the general support of the employees, distribution of the roles and responsibilities of the employees, selection of the team members on the basis of the skills and expertise according to the requirement of the project, managing the supply and demand of the resources, managing the relevancy and accuracy of the information, and reviewing of the project activity schedule (Davies, 2002).
Phases of Project Management
Devise and implementation of the strategies and approaches used for managing the project involves the setting down of activities which helps in resolving the risks and barrier associated with the project objectives, distribution of the responsibilities according to the achievement of the goal, flaws and gaps which occurred in the existing working system should be resolved, and reusing of the previously completed work of the project. The standardization process should be undertaken for completing the project scenario. The complexity arises with the funding of the activities should be resolved by modularizing the project activities for managing the cost associated with them. The requirement specification plan should be clearly mentioned by the user to get the desired outcome of the undertaken project schedule (Prabhakar, 2008). The effective communication between the top executives and the working employees helps in determining the risks and the barriers which comes forward in completing the project. The project control methodology should be adopted for providing good quality products at the end of the cycle.
Analysing ad solving critical complex problems associated with the project involves the analysis of the factors and issues helps in understanding the clear perspective view for the management of activities (Saade, 2015). The focus should be given on the management of quality of the product developed because it helps in raising the confidence of the customers and helps in building the trust towards the organization which in turn results in the success of the project and profitability ratio of the enterprise.

It has been concluded that the project success is the main criteria for aligning the activities. The activities should be developed in the structured format for the successful driven of the operational plan. The conceptualization of the activities helps in determining the clear specification of the project managing environment. The focus should be given on meeting the requirement of the user which they are expecting as the outcome of the project. The effective communication between the top executives and the working employees helps in determining the risks and the barriers which comes forward in the successful completion the project.
