But there can be alternative ways to commemorate the dead. FMS has been developed to offer the funeral profession the most comprehensive administration software package currently available.
It is written in the very latest powerful Windows programming language enabling the user to manage every aspect of a funeral easily onto the system. The software has been researched over a period of time in conjunction with leading undertakers to ensure it provides exactly what is needed to ensure the management of each funeral is carried out as easily and professionally as possible. The package has been designed to take all the administrative paperwork out of preparing a funeral ensuring you project the most professional service to the customer.
As much of the system as possible has been automated using new and powerful Windows programming techniques. Researchers thought that they have covered almost every eventual feature that may be required. Easy options have been incorporated like tick boxes to select various options. After generating all the billing and invoicing functions, the program fully integrates with most of the leading Accounting software programs like Sage. The system holds all details of the Applicant, a next of kin or Solicitor and the deceased.
Details of the Service and Committal are compiled from databases held of all churches, ministers and cemeteries held on the system. Full details of the service, including hymns are retained, production of death notices and all transport details that may be required. A host of extras are may also be entered. The Family tree, costing grid and all print options are then displayed. A major aspect of the system is also the Donations section enabling donations to be recorded and made to a variety of chosen charities. 1. 2 Project Objective 1. 2. 1GENERAL OBJECTIVE
The researchers’ aim is to develop Funeral Management System for ;Client;. 1. 2. 2SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE * To allow the client to handle the . * To create an online application with friendly environment. * To design a database that will handle the records of the professors and students of CICT. 1. 3SCOPE AND LIMITATION This project aims to help the ;client; in managing the more important files and even the least important files of the ;client;. The project is expected to be that useful for the client because of its strengths.
These strengths are as follows: the project allows the client to choose over separate or combined service and committal, On the other hand, this project also contains weak points. The application is exclusively for professors and students of the CICT. Teachers are the only one who can create the Class for their students. Students cannot create a Class . Teachers can store and upload files only with a maximum capacity of 10MB while for students, the maximum is 5MB. Created classes cannot be deleted. 1. 4SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT This project aims to help the students as well as the professors of College f Information and Communications Technology. The following are the ones who would enjoy the benefits that this project offers: To the College, the quality of education will be improved as it adds innovation with the help of online e-learning. They help promote learning outside the school. The college also helps to inculcate broader knowledge to the minds of its students. To the Professors, they would be able to increase the efficiency of their teaching abilities through online. And it would be easier for them to make some announcements for their students and they can stay updated with their students even outside the classroom.
To the Students, it will help them improve their study habits and keeps them updated with what’s the latest about the lessons on the different subjects. It can also serve as their guide as they work on their projects. And for other students, this project can be significant if they use it as a reference for their own studies in the future. To the Developers, it would give them a sense of fulfilment for it is a great contribution on their part knowing that it helps not only their client but also those individuals who are interested to use it.
