Time management and meetings made easier
Title: Employees Will No Longer Regularly Attend A Corporate Office
Supposing that the working conditions are manipulated now in the working environs, it will lead to many challenges as well as opportunities for both the employees and the human resource managers. The paper below looks at both, the challenges and the opportunities that various organizations will face due to future technological changes globally. As the future is tending to take a big step towards the use of technology whereby it will lead to the mushrooming of homemade offices as both employees and the managers will be able to work under a connected portable network far from the usual offices. This introduction of this particular system will enhance the managers with various ways to monitor the work of the employees without them physically showing up at the workplace. The HRM will get the opportunity of meetings online without the need for providing the refreshments and other expenses that accrue while carrying out a workplace meeting. Employees will be provided with intellectual skills that will enable them to communicate with all the various types of managers directly without following the usual protocol. The use of this technology also enables the employee to serve long in the industry whereby the skills acquired in work are consistent after the working period has been reached, the services of this employee will still be of great impact to other disciplines. Such are the things that I have placed my attention on, in this paperwork.
Time management, the time that is usually lost while trying to organize a meeting amongst the staff at the workplace will be minimized as a result of the influence of technology. As the organization will have embraced the use of technology holding meetings won’t be difficult as both organization members are connected by their organizational portal. Whereby in cases of one not being able to participate in the meeting, one will be able to view the proceedings’ at their own favorable time and leave their comments there. (Albrecht, 2016)
Increased organizational productivity, as the flow of work, will not be influenced by a certain unusual break. The work rate will increase hence increasing the overall productivity of the organization due to availability of sufficient time dedicated to work.as the employees will have much of their time on their own they will be able to work hard to be able to provide quality output just like their colleagues working from different areas (Goodall, 2016)
Increased organizational productivity
Reduced office expenses, the expenses that are normally incurred through the introduction of new staff will be cut down as there will be no necessity of purchasing new stationaries for the incoming staff. Also, the cost that is required to hold a meeting will be reduced as the meetings will be carried out online hence it will not necessarily require the provision of refreshments and another cost that are normally incurred. (Schmidt, 2014)
All sided movement (lattice model), by this I mean that rather than the usual focus of moving up in one direction, employees with ambition will be provided with a channel to move sideways hence finding way into new networks. Today’s new diversity combined with the future growing interest in technology will fade the demand for collaborative working environs that is flexible. I will argue that this all-sided movement provides the most possibilities and opportunities of becoming successful than the usual one where employees focus on one thing. (Wrirht, 2015)
Natural intelligence, Though the use of technology, will increase productivity and convenience of the organizations, the intelligence of a person will be lowered as one will be limited to the use of machine hence not allowing the mind to widen up for new ideas. This destruction may render one’s professional skills obsolete. (Spielvogel, 2014)
Workplace monitoring, in today’s working environments employers always have to worry about the employee’s health. By the use of technology in the coming future bosses will be able to monitor each and every step of their employees by simply asking them to wear trackers. Through this, every process of the body will be known and analyzed by the employer without having to ask about the condition of the employee. Both the employees and the managers will benefit by the fact that work can be done from homes. Research has it that companies that allow employees to work from home they have greater output, such employers believe that an employee working alone at home is free from the stress of being inspected hence works harder for a maximum output.. (Beattie, 2013)
Change in the retirement period, everyone will forget the usually required age to quit working for 65 years and will be forced to stay for quite a longer period. Through the whole experience, a certain age can manage the transition from one job to another without difficulties. So in the near coming future, the approach imposed on retirement age by various governments’ will become a forgotten agenda . Some organization managers may argue that employees can’t work at the comfort of having a television around them or a radio player it also saves the employer some resources in the long run which are a bonus to the employer. For employees that can’t bare being distracted several times a day having them work from their premises increases their productivity due to minimized distractions and increased time to focus on the assigned project. (Fryer, 2015)
Reduced office expenses
Robots and humans, as technology continues to grow gradually, it is nearing to the introduction of robots to the workplace, this could challenge people as these robots are built on a high intelligence performance level. Organizations will be influenced into embracing the robots for the sake of increasing their productivity for a competitive and a financial advantage amongst its competitors. (Cappeli, 2015)
A rise in unemployment due to job elimination, as resource managers will require a high performing organization, it will end up embracing technology for effective output, this is because the upcoming technology can work 24/7 hours and days without getting fatigue hence it’s more preferred to human labor. Hence employees needed to operate such technologies are required to have a high IQ level so that they will be able to fit in the society ran by technology. (DeGraff, 2013)
Recruitment through the internet, due to increased rate of use of internet in the society today and in the coming future, talented employees will be easily found online. According to a survey conducted by the global recruitment consultants showed those about a quarter of employers are using sites like Facebook in recruiting of the staff. Though the use of technology to managers is significant, it will also be useless to that manager who thinks everything can be done online. Resource managers could go online not online to recruit but also to better their employees by engaging them. (Karen C, 2015)
Both the employees and the managers will benefit by the fact that work can be done from homes, research has it that companies that allow employees to work from home they have greater output, such employers believe that an employee working alone at home is free from stress of being inspected hence works harder for a maximum output. It also saves the employer some resources in the long run which are a bonus to the employer. For employees that can’t bare being distracted several times a day having them work from their premises increases their productivity due to minimized distractions and increased time to focus on the assigned project. (Lohrey, 2012)
When it comes to a company’s that appreciates the need of work from home policy it assumes that everyone is different, the productivity of an employee entirely depends on the preferred style of work .hence this might be a reason why it’s difficult to find data that shows that working from home is more productive. Employers benefit through the use of telecommunication which limits absence and saves capital for the company. (Martell, 2014)
All-sided movement and flexibility
Employees will have to work in more decentralized departments and specialized firms, shortly as the employees will be working in a decentralized firm it will the relations of the employer to an employee becoming more of an individual thing and much less standardized. As firms are moving from a vertical organization to more specialized ones.As most of the work will be decentralized amongst the employees in departments. The distribution of work to the employees will cause every employee to focus on the specific task assigned. (O’Brien, 2013)
Future productivity growth rate will support the wage rise, that may lead to the distribution of wages being affected hence the tie the rate of employment and access to fringe benefits will be made weaker due to the changes in the distribution of wages. Where the labor market is tight, the employer may try to recruit employees that have low labor force output. Due to this rapid technological advances, it requires organization’s to adjust with effect to the changes so as to meet their required level of production. (Paauwe, 2016)
Slower labor force growth will lead to the rise of adoption of approaches that will facilitate increased production; employers will be greatly be encouraged to adopt approaches which facilitate greater participation amongst people with disabilities the elderly generation and also amongst woman. This will lead to the enhanced output hence stabilize a collapsing organization, this turnover of traditional employment will encourage its workers to work together both the older and the young. Provision of labor to the elder who has skills in the future will benefit the economy as they will not be only increasing their energy levels of the body but also take part in increasing the countries total domestic product (S Mishra, 2012)
The emphasis will be mainly on the training; employers will be required to retrain its staff members as the technology will be advancing hence new skills will be much necessary for the survival of the organization in the industry. This will be necessary for it to be able to stay in its competitive structure among the rest of the competing institutions. As employees will be meeting new standards of work there, intellectual capacity will also expand as new ideas will be formed within them, and change their morale towards the work. (Schmidt, 2014)
The need of the business to understand the changes in the law, managers may be required to operate in different states as the government may change the law governing the way of operating as technology changes. It’s required for the HR managers to adjust along with the adjustment in the environment. These adjustments may also include a change in management level. Where it changes with effect with the change in the technology, it will have a successful operation. (Fryer, 2015)
Natural intelligence and potential loss
The need of pushing to professional developments, globalization will impact the HR management to provide employees with the opportunities to meet their required career related goals. Such they may be required to provide the employees with resources to accomplish their university degree or also they may send their employees to networking events and training camps. Through this, the employee will fill that the organization cares for their wellbeing needs and this will boost their morale towards working. (Martell, 2014)
The future will require employers to engage in diverse recruitment, companies of all sizes will be interacting with people with different cultures, and also customers. This will require resource managers to respond to this by hiring employees from different cultures. The companies that recognize this, they will have the advantage of its employees being able to interact with its customers around the world in a more professional way hence leading to quality enhancement. (Altarawneh, 2012)
Conclusion
Technology, as I have illustrated above, has a greater influence to the employee in the coming future, as it benefits both the employees and the employers. If a company considers this step of employees working from their premises, it may lead to increased productivity as different employees work better in their preferred environment. Companies that tend to allow employees to work from home tend to have advantages in that, in the long run, they save some capital that could have been incurred if the work was done in the office. Allowing employees to work from home due to the introduction of technology, employees will be able to freely communicate with the CEO with requiring the usual slow procedure. Cutting out this protocol enhances the faster flow of information from the employee to the employer. Due to the global rise of technology in future the level at which employees retire will be of no effect due to the skills that the employees get in their long term service they are greatly marketable at their retirement age. With this research, it’s now clear that employees will not need to move to the respective offices for them to perform effectively but will need to work in the environments that will best suit them.
