From: Jacques Marechal , Head of HR, Huntsman Hotels plc
Subject: Highlighting HR issues and to propos e the new action plan
After the in-depth analysis I have come to know that Huntsman Hotels, PLC, is having some real concerns regarding the staffing system that need to get resolved in the most rapid manner. It is due to the reason that with when the management of our organization is able to hire the competent staff only then there is a possibility that it can help them to capture the market in the most effective and efficient manner (Noe et al, 2006). In addition to this, it is highly significant for the employees to understand the issues of the organization in the employees to understand the concerns that there organization is facing so that they can be able to enhance their performance in order to make their company more profitable. More specifically, it can be stated that with the increase in the management issues the overall productivity of the Huntsman Hotels get affected in the more terrible manner (Cascio, 2012). Therefore, I, as the head of the HR department have decided to inform all the members of the internal staff about the three key HR issues that our organization is dealing with (Lanyon, 2003). The main purpose of this concern is that I want you all to own this organization with all of its presented issues. It is due to the reason that Huntsman hotel is providing you great opportunities to grow in the personal as well as in the professional lives. There are so many elements that need to be considered in order to provide this organization the element of sustainable staff members in the more effective and efficient manner (Huselid, 2011). Moreover, it is found that with the increase in the competition the managing director of the company has decided to take this business after UK to France and Marseille. It is due to the reason that it is the need of the time that the business should need to be taking outside the boundaries of UK (Ryan et al, 2000). According to the study of (Raghu et al, 2011), it is highly significant for the management of the company to analyze the needs and wants of the environment in order to capture the market in the most effective and efficient manner. There are many other elements that need to be considered while taking the business outside the boundaries (Rhodes et al, 2008). Hence, the management of the Huntsman hotel has sorted out these issues that can make the organization to be less productive. In addition to this, it can be stated that most of the people in the Huntsman hotel are less competent and they cannot be able to survive in the international environment (Noe et al, 2006). The management of the company along with my decision has decided to give training sessions to the internal staff member so that I can be able to promote them to the international platform. More specifically, in this memo I want to address some issues that can be able to capture the attention of the employees in the most deliberate manner (Huselid et al, 1997).
HR Key Issues: Recruitment, Performance, and Management
1. The management of the Huntsman hotel is having some trouble with the hiring of the staff members. One of the biggest reasons behind this concern is that due to the increase in the competition many other hotel firms are hiring the most competent staff members that results in the less competent staff members in the Huntsman hotel. It is denoted in the study of (Lepak, 2008) it is highly important for the organization to have the most competent staff member as it help the management to grow in the most productive manner.
2. The other major concern that Huntsman hotel is facing is that most of the employees at the organization are not performing according to the standardized structure. This is the main reason that a lot of customers or the visitors are getting disappointed with the poor performance of the members of the team. In addition to this, the promotions are getting done on the basis of personal relations.
3. Due to the high completion in the hotel industry Huntsman hotel is finding their management very appropriate as the issue of the high priority on the basis of relationship is killing the main idea that productivity has been decreased in the most profound manner. In addition to this, it can be stated that there are many factors that need to be reconsidered while formulating the recruiting policy for the organization.
It has been observed that these are the main issues that need to resolve as soon as possible. It is due to the reason that with the increase in the productivity of the company so that the management can become able to transfer their human resource to handle the operations of the other hotel franchises (Colbert, 2004). In addition to this, it can be stated that with the constant functioning of the organization the overall performance of the company can be enhanced. More specifically, I want you all to know that your HR head has arranged some training sessions for the employees, so that they can be able to understand the international issues in the most specified manner (Rothstein et al, 2006). Furthermore, it has been observed that with the changing patterns in the competitive environment the company should need to adopt the strategies that can help the organization to increase the element of efficiency at the workplace. However, the topmost management of the Huntsman hotel has decided to make sure that all of the employees can be able to understand the patterns in the more effective and efficient manner (Arkes et al, 1988). In addition to this, it can be stated that with the increased knowledge about the international affairs the employees of the company can be able to become more productive about the needs and the demands of the international customers (Donaldson et al, 2002). Additionally, the employees of the Huntsman hotel should need to learn the linguistic skills in order to communicate effectively with the local customers of that particular country. It is denoted that it is mandatory for the management to understand the local language where the entire business should need to be started (Headd, 2003).
Proposed Action Plan to Address HR Issues

In addition to this, it can be stated that the company should need to come up with the ideas that can help the individuals to understand the level of competency that their organization holds. There are many other elements that need to be considered while designing the overall business marketing strategies. It is due to the reason that it helps the people of the organization to understand the worth in the more productive manner. According to the study of (Nordhaus, 1990), it is mandatory for the management of the organization to manage the marketing segment as it can eventually help the company to grow in the most dynamic way. In support of this statement the research article of (Nohria et al, 1992), enhances the knowledge about the marketing strategies it can become easier for the company to understand the pattern of the competitive environment in the most effective and superior manner. Considering this in mind, the management of the Huntsman hotel should need to focus on the marketing tactics that can gain the attention of the market in the more additional manner (Randall et al, 1991). There are many aspects that need to be analyzed that with more specification that in order to run the business more effectively marketing can play the role that can be able to enhance the overall level of productivity in the more dynamic way. It is found that management of the Huntsman hotel has decided to take the business outside the boundary of UK; they need to focus on the marketing management in the more specified manner (Chesbrough, 2010). In addition to this, it can be stated that with the increase in the overall marketing activities it has been observed that the sales of the company can be enhanced in the triple figures at times. Moreover, there are various elements that need to get done when the higher authorities of the company has decided to compete with the international chains only then the overall sales or the revenues can be able to earned in the more effective way. In addition to this, in the current case Jacques Marechal has been selected as the new head of HR. Hence, it is his duty to manage all the functions of the company and it resolve the problems in the more rapid way. There are many other aspects that need to be analyzed as the managing director has decided to take the hotel business in France. It is denoted in the study of (Lambert et al, 1990), it is very important for the individual to understand the environment of that particular place where the business is getting to be started. More specifically, it has been observed in the research article of (Ayyagari et al, 2007), that when the management of the company is able to understand the culture in the more specified manner along with the trends and patterns of that state should need to be comprehended. It is due to the reason that it helps the people or the customers of the business to get connected with the particular brand in the more efficient manner. There are many aspects that are linked with emerging the local patterns of the country in the business (Foelster, 2000). Considering this in mind, it has been observed that with the highest level of efficiency in the staff members of the company the management can be more easily capable to understand the patterns of the company in the more efficient manner.
