Working with Different Personalities
The report throws light on analysing the impact of my behaviour on the approach to management. The proper analysis is required to be conducted in order to identify the different kind of behaviour that affects the approach to management. The two topics that has been chosen in the respective report includes working with different personalities along with organizational deviance and misbehaviour.
Proper analysis of the management roles is required to be assessed in relation to the working along with supervising others as well in the organization or in team in the respective kind of organizations. The main aim and purpose of the reflective report is to identify and analyse the different kind of behaviours that might affect the approach to the management in a negative manner.
There will be proper analysis of the two articles wherein proper requirements of the same has to be provided with the examples provided with the help of images or YouTube examples. The two topics has to be analysed and examined in such a manner that this will help in maintaining the relationship with the different employees and employer effectively in different organizations.
The two different topics that has been chosen for the analysis of the report are as follows:
- Organizational deviance and misbehaviours
- Working with different personalities
- How will my behaviour create a huge impact on the approach to work with different kind of personalities?
- How might the behaviour of mine can create huge impact on the approach in having various different kind of conversations along with providing effective feedback?
Barak (2016).has commented that there are different kinds of personalities while working in a work environment. Working in the office environment means dealing with different kinds of individuals and getting along with all the individuals in the workplace can be challenge and there are individuals with whom dealing can be an issue. These sorts of issues can lead to low productivity along with missed deadlines. Furthermore, it has been seen that the different kind of individuals has to be dealt in a different manner and as an individual it will be different in nature to deal with different individuals and this helps in solving the issues effectively. Wrench (2016) has commented that there are different benefits of working with different personalities as this helps in understanding their attitudes towards the tasks that is performed by them in an appropriate manner. It is essential in nature to understand the different opinions of the individuals and deal with them accordingly as well.
There are different kind of personalities in the workplace along with different issues that are included in the workplace that has to be handled more appropriately and in an effective manner as well. The first personality is egomaniacs individuals who feels that they know the best solutions for the things that are requir3ed to be performed and they ignore the nicest of the different advices provided by others in the organization or in the respective kind of team as well. Sabharwal (2014) has commented that there are different solutions that can be analysed as to handle such individuals that includes maintain distance from such individuals and being more assertive in nature as well.
Egomaniacs Individuals
Secondly, the second kind of individuals are the gossipers wherein such individuals keeps on talking and this kind of attitude is not suitable for the entire working environment as well. It has been seen that such gossipers in the entire workplace can cause huge issues in the workplace and such situations can be handled effectively by not entertaining such individuals and lead by a specific example and deal with specific kind of offenders in an effective manner.
Previously, when I worked in an organization for more than four years, I was appointed as the trainee in the organization. After a year, when the appraisal had taken place, I was appointed as the team leader and under me there were more than eight employees employed. I tried to conduct an induction programme for the employees as I thought for me to analyse the different skills of the employees effectively. I tried to handle the different kind of issues along with grievances in an appropriate manner.
Furthermore, after a certain point of time, I noticed that there were different personalities in the team and this benefitted me in many ways, however there were different disadvantages that was faced by me. I noticed that there was a member who was a gossiper and this was not good for the entire as well. There were other team members who were not comfortable with such environment as they were not being able to concentrate on the tasks that is performed by them.
Furthermore, I felt that there is different type of personalities who are involved in a team and my job is to handle the differences in an effective manner. However, I faced several issues, on the other hand there were different benefits that was gained by me as well as by my team. The different benefits of inclusion of different personalities along with their strengths and weaknesses. The different kind of individuals with their creativity in the workplace will help in contributing towards the success of the organization. In my team, there were two members who were creative in nature and they were the main contributors of the success of the team development as well.
Furthermore, my behaviour has positively affected and influenced the approach to work with different personalities in the team within the organization. I tried to handle the different situations with the help of the different team members by making quality decisions and this helped me in providing new ideas in solving the problem in an appropriate manner. Firstly, when I first joined the team, I was considered as egomaniac as I could not handle the situation in an appropriate manner and distance myself from the different team members as well. Previously, I thought that the decisions that were taken by me were correct and appropriate in nature and I did not take any kind of suggestions from the other team members as well.

Additionally, I tried to understand the situation in more effectual manner wherein I analysed that this technique is not appropriate and this can cause huge problem in the tasks that would be performed by me as well. After such scenario, I tried to handle the situation in an effective manner wherein I took suggestions from the other members and this helped me in the career growth affectively and appropriately as well. I tried to work in a team and as a team as this assisted me in bringing out the best and solve the issues in an easy manner as well. The teamwork plays a major role in measuring the performance of the employees and the weaknesses of them as well.
The variations in the teamwork helps in bringing out the best and the variation in the personality assists in having a great team work as well. I tried to understand that there can be flaws in different team members, however that is required to be handled in a much more appropriate manner as to overcome the same by the strength of the other team member who is working in the same team as the other participant. Each and every team member is essential and important in the team as the lack of contribution of the members can hang up the entire work and this will affect the entire productivity of the organization as well.
In order to have the best productivity in the organization, the member should be provided with huge importance and this will help them in encouraging them to perform better as well. The unity in the diversity is essential in the organization or the team to give the best results in the team. The proper analysis is essential in nature as to understand the contribution of the different team members along with my contribution in managing the different kind of tasks more appropriately. In my team, I tried to be creative in assigning the tasks to the team members and this helped in increasing and improving the entire productivity of the performance as well.
I understood that the different personalities work together in team, different ideas from the different team members are essential and important in nature and the different information are different from one another. I felt and analysed that all ideas are essential and every single idea is different from one another as well. While there is huge creativity, there is huge diversity and diverse change in the outcome. The innovation is essential and this improves the entire productivity and delivers the best outcome.
Organizational Deviance and Misbehaviour
Klarsfeld et al. (2014) has commented that the proper team of productivity and creativity helped me and my team in excelling in different kind of tasks in an effectual manner. Furthermore, the communication that was applied by me played an important role in managing the different personalities in the team. I noticed that there was mixture of both extrovert and introvert kind of individuals in the organization and this was not helping us to excel in the tasks that were performed by us.
Additionally, I tried to analyse the different behaviours of the individuals in the team in an effective manner. I noticed that there was a respective team member who tried hard to achieve the different goals, however he failed in expressing his views for the same. I tried to conduct a meeting face to face with all the individuals and analysed their viewpoints in an appropriate manner as well that helped me in managing the grievances along with their introvert nature as well. My behaviour was such that I tried to create a soothing working environment wherein all the individuals worked in a proper manner and they tried to cope up with different situations in an effective manner as well.
According to Trittin and Schoeneborn (2017), there are different instances wherein it has been noticed that the employees misbehave with the colleagues along with the head of the company or team as well. There is organizational deviance is the term that defines that it causes harm to the organization and this is one of the instrumental components in the organizational communication as well. Greene and Kirton (2015) has commented that workplace deviance has caused huge issues in different working environments along with the misbehaviours of the individuals cause problems in gaining the entire profitability of the firm as well.
It has been noticed that there are different situations wherein organizational deviance has affected the firm in a negative manner and this affected the entire profitability of the firm as well. The workplace deviance is generally caused due to the abusive supervision or psychological contract. Cascio (2018) has commented that the different employees in the workplace often set different kind of expectations about the workplace wherein they are working and they tend to make different kinds of psychological contracts with their organization as well. However, when the different expectations of the employees are not being met, this causes psychological breach of contract with their employer and this affects the entire stability of the organization as well.
Teamwork, Creativity, Communication and Diversity
The deviance in the behaviour of the employees are caused as there is mistreatment that is done by the employer to the employees or there is wrong doing in the organization as well. Furthermore, the abusive kind of supervision is the other reason of workplace deviance as when the ideas of the employees are not being respected and the employees misbehave with them and there is a dictatorship followed in the organization. According to (), there are different kinds of deviances wherein it included co-worker backstabbing, organizational deviance along with interpersonal deviance.
Choi and Rainey (2014) has commented that the workplace deviance has caused different kind of issues in the workplace that has caused huge problems in the organization’s productivity and profitability as well. It has been noticed that due to such organizational deviance, there has been huge amount of absenteeism and the employees do not tend to work with such employer in the near future as well. Furthermore, such kind of harsh and rude behaviour can lead the employees to withdraw emotionally and physically from such organization wherein their values are not being provided importance and this affects their morale as well.
From such incidents, I have seen that such situations in the workplace and this has occurred huge problems in the workplace as well. I have been in such kind of organizational deviance situation previously when I worked with an organization. I used to work under a team leader who was not at all efficient and there was no such support received from his end as well. I tried to manage the different situations in an effective manner by analysing the tasks and finding the solutions by myself. However, there were few areas wherein I was weak and I did not have proper knowledge on few aspects, however I did not receive any support from my supervisor. Th behaviour of my supervisor was not at all effective and this demotivated me and I could not perform the tasks in an effective manner as well.
The misbehaviour of the supervisor made me feel unsafe and I could not perform the tasks as well in the organization. I personally feel that the misbehaviour by the employer towards the employees is not effective and efficient in nature as this affects the entire morale of the employees in a negative manner. I could not perform well and the productivity was all time low as I could not solve the different tasks that were provided to me as I tried to seek support from the supervisor, however there was no such positive response from the employer anytime. According to my opinion, the employer should be relaxed and there should not be any kind of aggression as this could affect the entire productivity of the organization along with negative influence on the team as well.
Conclusion
Furthermore, when I shifted my workplace, I was appointed as the leader of the team and I tried to manage the team in an effectual manner. I tried to solve the different difficulties in an appropriate manner wherein I handled the different situation in an effective manner. I tried to analyse the different issues of the organization in an effective manner. I did not misbehave with any of the team members as I felt that working in a group will help in managing the team work in an appropriate manner.
Additionally, I tried to handle the different circumstances in the team and analysed the different issues effectively. However, I could not able to solve the issue in an effective manner, wherein I could not provide proper support to the individuals effectively. I will be handling the situations in an appropriate manner wherein I analysed the situation and solved the issues effectively. I feel that the organizational deviance and misbehaviour is out of the law and rules of the organization as this is not acceptable in the workplace. Proper analysis is required to be done in order to understand the different grievances of the employees and solve them effectively as well (Pham 2017).
I remember an instance wherein I tried to handle the situation more effectively in which I respected the viewpoints of the other members and solved the issue as well. Lastly, these are the different incidents wherein I understood and analysed that the organizational deviance is not supportive for the workplace and this affects the entire morale of the employees in the organization as well. The organizational deviance can be solved by analysing the issue and understanding the depth of the issue effectively. The issue has to be handled carefully as a team leader wherein as a team leader, I need to handle the issues in such a manner that it will help in respecting the viewpoints of all the individuals who are present in the organization.
Conclusion
Therefore, it can be concluded that the different kind of behaviours have created huge impact on the approach to management. The two topics that has been chosen are organizational deviance and misbehaviours along with working with different kind of personalities in the organization or team. I tried to analyse the entire situation by analysing my situation in an effective manner wherein I analysed the two situations by providing instances from my workplace. It has been seen that there were various instances that was faced by me during the job that was done by me wherein I worked with different cultural personality individuals along with managing the same differences in an appropriate manner.

However, there were many issues along with benefits provided from the working with different cultures. Furthermore, I tried to manage the different circumstances in an effective manner as I managed the issues with the entire support from the team and this helped me and my team in solving the issues with proper communication skills. The different kind of team work along with analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the employees are required to be analysed effectively as this will assist in solving the different issues and maintain proper unity in the entire workplace as well.
I felt that communication handling the grievances of the employees in an appropriate manner as well. The supervisor under which I performed the tasks was not at all supportive in nature and he did not support him as well. There were different instances wherein I could not perform the tasks in an appropriate manner as the tasks were out of the domain and this affected the entire productivity of the tasks as well. According to me, I felt that the behaviours play an important role in managing the different approaches of the management and this helps in analysing the different kind of difficulties in solving them effectively as well. the unity in the diversity of the team along with communication played a major role in analysing the issues of the employees.
