The aim of this journal is to discuss about the impact of effective and favourable job design on the performance and productivity of the employees. In addition, this journal also discussed about the different elements of job design that will help in enhancing the organizational citizenship of the employees. This is due to the reason that increased autonomy motivates employees in taking decisions independently. The hypotheses used in this journal are relationship between task variety and employee engagement, relationship between autonomy and employee engagement and relationship between task identity and employee engagement. Research methodology of this journal is based on primary data consisting of 671 employees from the consultancy and construction firm of the United Kingdom. Information is being collected from the questionnaire given to the respondents. It is concluded that job design is having a major impact on the employee performance and it is also identified that productivity of the employees can get enhanced in the long term with having favourable job design. However, it is also concluded that different approaches of job design should be initiated in accordance to the organizational situations. |
