The word university is said to be derived from the Latin word Universitas Magistrorum et Scholarium which basically means community of scholars and teachers. The university deals with the High-level educational institution where most of the students mainly study for their degrees as well as carrying forward their academic researches [1]. The first university was created in Europe by the Catholic Church Monks. Universities provide both Graduate along with undergraduate degrees. They seem to have a diverse environment where they have huge campuses with variety of courses and programs.

There are various stakeholders who are involved in developing a university. There are both internal and external stakeholders present in every university. The external stakeholders include the customers and different partners who make several sponsors in the university and promotes its growth and development. The internal stakeholders of the university include the board of trustees, deans, chairperson, president, vice-president, academic staffs, faculty representatives, the student ambassador, non-academic staff as well cohort of students. By understanding the influence of stakeholders for universities helps in developing a proper ranking which become significant for the university.  

The report aims at analysing the impacts of establishing a new university in a large city. This will also cover several view-points of different stakeholders and will focus on their perspectives. It will give recommendations on maximizing the benefits of establishing a particular university and in the same time minimizing the potential challenges which comes up while establishing a new university in a big city. The analysis will have three subsections which will thoroughly explain the challenges and benefits that comes up from different perspectives. There are different solutions in finding better ways to set up a university with maximum support of the stakeholders.

• Provisions of healthcare: there will be a separate area which will be dedicated for health care facilities. There will be free check-ups for students including the mental health care of the students. These times are very challenging and the students tend to breakdown easily without understanding what is wrong with them. For situations like this the university must keep a counsellor with whom the student can consult freely [2]. This type of provision is necessary including all other medicinal requirements which might create an issue in terms of healthcare. To provide vending machines for students so that they do face any kind of challenges in terms of finding it. They must be guided well if they are having the feelings of being lost and having any kind of problems relating to their mental well-being. The counsellor should be there to look after such issues and solve them immediately without delaying it.
• Various challenges that relate to disease and infections in terms of student accommodation: it is necessary for any university to maintain a healthy hygiene for accommodation of students. The student accommodation should be clean enough so that it does not create an unhygienic environment for the students because it can lead to severe infections and diseases that will harshly, effect on their health. For instance, if the rooms are not clean, the student who potentially had dust allergy might increase his infection and this might negatively impact on his educational possibilities. Especially, during this pandemic scenario is it important to have a clean and well sanitized student’s accommodation which will help in having a healthy environment for the students and staffs and free from any kind of diseases and infections.
• Opportunities both nationally and globally: by training of a set of new healthcare professionals in the university which will help in developing better opportunities. The opportunities must come from both internal as well as external sources. The health care professionals must also have a specific idea of understanding the ideas well which will help in enhancing the situations in an appropriate way which needs to be there. The university should have several healthcare professionals training which will allow to have a better, working facilities and even in making proper training for the individuals who will help the students who have been facing any problems in the health care sector.

• Impacts on the city’s carbon footprint: The carbon footprints are considered to have a negative impact upon the city and its environment in various ways. It affects the urban air pollution and even toxic acid rain. While establishing a university an extensive area is needed to make the structure of the university [3]. This requires a huge area of land for them to get established. These universities emit a lot of carbon dioxide which leads to depleting the environment and making number of changes that are being involved in setting up the university. It effects the environment and makes it hazardous for human beings. It simply undercuts the sustainability goals and make the area face a lot of carbon emission. It largely affects the city by covering a large area and making huge infrastructure which depletes the environment largely.
• Opportunities for sustainable designs and building: while using the green principals while constructing as well as designing the buildings will help in making a better concept and even in making new changes which are appropriate for the individuals in order to establish and follow a specific construction which is sustainable. It can add a lot of opportunities by adding the green technologies into working and even making it better so that the designs are being made more sustainable and makes less carbon emission. It also caters to save the environmental resources which will benefit for the future uses and make better acknowledgements regarding sustainability. Also, to consider material sales and avoiding mostly from the landfills while building up a better technology which needs to be there. It helps in reducing the energy consumptions and even helps in making large benefits required for the university. There are different opportunities which are said to be present which helps in improving the building properties while at the same time making a sound decision for the university’s sustainable development.
• The environmental impacts of construction work which is needed: the environmental factors which are involved in making a better environment for establishing a university. There are sociological impacts upon the ideas which needs to be developed in order to make suitable resources [4]. It must use green and thermal energy in construction of the building and having a proper consideration in dealing. The energy usage must be reduced as it will help in overcoming the challenges and making it a better place for the university to be established in that area.

• The changes to the demographics of the area- the demographics of the area where university is being built must have all the academic resources which are easily available for everyone and must have a well set up to welcome students so that more and more students are attracted towards the university. There should be a favourable climate and various support services for students which are considered to be there and in making favourable outcomes for the individuals who are said to be present. It must even consist of several opportunities in making new support services along with the academic resources which are needed in managing the activities well.
• Increased educational opportunities- to have better educational facilities as well as opportunities in making them understand the value of education [5]. The better number of educational facilities, the better developments tend to take place. This helps in finding better solution towards providing better educational opportunities in increasing new changes as per the ideas are concerned. It makes them analyse various educational opportunities and even in making better aspects to overcome the challenges well [10]. The university must make a proper area of working towards the ideas where most of them in dealing with the changes in dealing with the betterment of the ideas and making the best use of the opportunities which are said to be present. It must work on certain aspects which needs to be there. The increased educational opportunities that, allows, the student to have an all-around development and even indulging in order to make better educational opportunities for the students.
• Issues that are related to crime, health as well as safety: the issues relating to crime should not be present anywhere near the university campus and they must maintain a healthy environment which is acceptable for the student’s safety as well as their security concerns. The health concerns should be solved having several healthcare provisions that will help the students to lead a healthy life [6]. The issues relating to the criminal activities should be banned outside the premises of the university. The area in which the university will be established should be fine and must have a better aspect in dealing with the changes in order to consider the ideas well in terms of making new changes in order to make better options for education possible for the students in order to make better changes.

Therefore, it can be concluded that the health impacts, the environmental impacts and the social impacts are considered to be there. While making the use of green energy in order to reconsider the carbon footprints and make a better environment for the individual to be present [9]. There are several key points which needs to be addressed while considering the demographics are to know about the ideas to promote better educational opportunities in making suitable areas that are said to be present. Mostly, the area of the university will be beneficial if is free from all kinds of criminal activities and all kinds of educational resources are being present in the that particular area. The health care provisions are also needed to make the university complete with having a student’s accommodation that is free from all kinds of health-related issues and also prevented from infections and harmful diseases.

Using green principals- while constructing the university one can use the green principles which uses less resources in the period of construction and makes a suitable environment for the university and its external environment. There are several ideologies which helps to save these harmful technologies and using a sustainable source of energy which helps in promoting a better environment that is sustainable enough [7]. To save the energy sources as much as its is possible because it will allow to keep the environment safe as well as secured.

Finding a suitable area- in a large city it is important to find a suitable area where all the academic opportunities are present and even increases the credibility of the university. It is important to select a relevant area before establishing a better concept which deals with maximum areas which needs to be there so that most of them are in making new changes. The area must also have better changes which are needed in making a better area for constructing of making new changes in order to develop a better aspect in dealing with the changes in an appropriate way which is considered to be possible.

Having proper health care facilities- it is important for a university to look for a place which has easy access to better health care facilities that are said to be present and also in making new changes which are considered to be there so that none of the issues are being made in terms of health. All kinds of health-related issues are being solved and there are no issues that might arise in terms of understanding a better place for the university to be there [8]. To have better care facilities and making new ventures which have all kind of health care provisions supported for the students and making it easier for them to face all kinds of difficulties that are needed in constructing a building. There are several ideas which must consider the importance of health care professionals which are said to be needed in making a better concept for idealizing the university and making it a better one.
