Tourist destination used
Tourism is a service industry which has influenced the world’s economic activity in different ways. Different researchers have indicated that tourism has been contributing a big potion in the world’s economy (Baum, 2015).It has been identified as the main foreign exchange in different countries such as Australia. Tourism uses natural resources which most of the times they are appealing to tourist. Generally, tourism accounts for the environment, the total ecosystem and culture which most of the times boost the foreign exchange within the country. All the natural features and human resources are combined to enhance the tourism service industry. Most of the times tourism tend to undergo fluctuations in terms of the products used in tourist centres. The fluctuating effects tend to differentiate tourist centres within the country. The discussion has analysed the tourist destination and those economic, cultural and environmental effects experienced in tourist centres (Baum, 2015).The other aspect described in the discussion is the recommendation for future management in tourism activity.
In order to analyse the topic in the discussion, I have used the Kakadu national park in Australia (Benur & Bramwell,2015).It is the largest park in Australia that has a lot of beautiful sceneries which attract a lot of tourist in Australia. The park covers a land space of about 19,802 km2 which is extending more than 250 km from west to east part of Australia. The park covers a lot of natural resources which are appealing to tourist. Some of these tourist features surrounded by the national park in Australia include; four major river systems in Australia, the six major natural landforms and a variety of wildlife in Australia. There more than 10,000 species of wildlife that are found in the national park (Cornelissen, 2017).The park is also, known for the aboriginal culture which has prevailed for more than 500 years. All the natural and cultural values in Kakadu Park have been recorded in the World Heritage list controlled by UNESCO. The body recognizes those cultural and natural resources contained by the tourist centre within the country.
Kakadu national park has different tourist centres which attract different tourist from all parts of the world. Some of these beautiful sceneries in Kakadu national park include;
The Yurmikmik walks which has beautiful sceneries in the park. The Yurmikmik has a series of trails exploring a number of monsoon forest which are appealing (Cornelissen, 2017).They have a fantastic view and this aspect attracts tourist in the park. The other activity done in the park is the important birdlife which is more appealing to tourist. The most appealing area with birdlife in Kakadu is the Mamukala region where thousands of tourist enjoy viewing the different species of geese in the park. Walking through the Mamukala region, one enjoys viewing the paperbacks and the water lilies. The most beautiful thing to observe in the park is when birds congregate in their groups during the wet season (Dredge & Gyimóthy, 2015).
Activities done in the tourist destination
The other activities done in the park include the Kakadu waterfalls which are beautiful. They have a massive flow of water which marks those seasons experienced in the park. The most appealing aspect from the falls is that they tend to have different features at different seasons of the year. Most of the time’s tourist tend to swim in these waterfalls especially at dry seasons when water level has reduced. In addition, the park also has the Admire Ubirr which is the aboriginal rock found in the park (Jovicic, 2014).Also, there are games which are being offered in the national park. The games are quite interesting since they involve taking a drive of about 14 kilometers in the park.
Impacts of tourism and hospitality
Generally, tourism can be a source of foreign exchange and at the same time can induce different impacts. The impacts of tourism are not only cultural but also physical. Most of these impacts experienced within the tourist centres tend to vary depending on the features of the site and at how tourism activities are being carried within the centres (Kim, Jun, Walker, Drane, 2015).Those positive effects help in enhancing mutual relationship within the sites and available locations. Those negative impacts induced through tourism activities can only be managed effectively if only they are keenly traced, measured and then apt measures taken to evaluate them.
The positive impacts on the environmental ecosystem
The effects of tourism in the park not only improves the situation of the site but also try to protect the natural ecosystem. The financial contribution from the entrance fee helps in protecting the ecosystem areas around. Most of the tourists tend to appreciate those natural features around the environment (Lew, 2014). Also, there are tourist agencies which protect the pollution and destruction of the natural environment in the park. In order to care for the natural environment then it’s important to promote awareness concerning the environment protection. Through social awareness on the environment the natural resources will be cared for thus improved conservation management. Another positive effect of tourism is that it enables and provides an alternative of economic activities for example protection of deforestation thus conserving environment.
Interacting with different people helps in understanding different foreign cultures. The effects of tourism assist in cultural exchange thus helping different people to understand cultures from various groups (Martín, Aguilera, Moreno, 2014). The aspect of cultural exchange in tourism helps in understanding the cultures thus reducing the prejudices which help in eliminating tension experienced in societies.
Positive impacts on the environmental ecosystem
The interaction of the tourists with the locals helps in the valuation of tradition and cultures thus increasing the sense of identity and pride. Most of the tourist are after the original and the authentic behaviour from the local culture around the park. Through this interaction tourist and local’s exchanges western lifestyle thus enhancing cultural exchange (Mihalic, 2016).
When tourism is managed effectively the locals can get jobs thus being able to improve their standards of living. It brings increased concepts of administration and the regional planning that strengthen the local economy. Also, tourism enhances education and job training since all tourism activities tend to demand qualified individuals.
Positive economic impacts.
There is a number of positive impacts resulting from tourism activities. The main impact is that tourism is the source of the income for the tourist centre. It enhances foreign exchange within the country. Also, tourism helps inducing investment setups in the economy. Through investment, the infrastructure develops thus generating employment opportunities (Mihalic, 2016).There are improved transport networks such as roads and other public transport networks.
Negative impacts in environmental ecosystem
Negative impacts of tourism on the natural ecosystem shows the interference of natural features. Destruction of natural resources shows a reduction of habitat sites for different species in the natural system. When these natural habitats have destroyed the aspect of tourism are reduced since no available natural features to attract tourist (Mihalic,2016).The environmental effects tend to occur in local, global and the regional parts. Increasing industrial and the global traffic cause climate change which leads to depletion of the ozone layer.
Negative cultural impacts
Tourism aids in changing the culture within a certain location. Some of the people may opt to reject the cultures from different groups while others will emulate cultures from the tourist. Some of the changes cause the locals to abandon their tradition thus following different cultures. Those cultures brought by tourist tend to cause breakdown of the society thus causing loss of cultural tradition (Page & Hall, 2014). Generally, cultural changes due to tourism are difficult to trace and describe. Tourists tend to bring changes which most of the time they break the structure of the community. Sometimes the ambiguity of tourism is that it tends to have cultures which are beneficial to different people and also negative to different to other communities.
Negative economic impacts
Tourism can cause negative economic effects. There is a number of aspects which can be described as negative economic effects. The park tends to have more tourist as compared to other national parks from different countries (Sharpley, 2014).This analogy shows that least developed countries will not be able to access tourists. Australia is a big country and therefore it enjoys foreign exchange from the Kakadu national park. Those least developed countries are unable to enjoy the benefits of tourism. The neighbouring least developed countries around Australia will not be able to enjoy the tourism activities. The local groups will also not be in the position to enjoy services from the tourism activities.

For example, sea acidification, environmental change, contamination, and further devastation of valuable natural surroundings for significant biological diversity.
Then again the tourist’s destination negative impacts could likewise be a colossal open door for the world to quicken the execution of the green economy, usage of feasible advances sustainability technologies, and giving initiative to the world in tourism sustainability issues
