This core skill is very important as it helps me in developing a good cooperation among one another. I know that in my professional life I will often have to work both in teams and as a leader as well. This will help me in developing my patience and my team spirit as well. The x and y theory by Douglas McGregor. This theory indeed is very relevant as it helps me in understanding how my teammates or my subordinates will be motivated and what attributes I must use as per different situations. If I abide by theory Y, I will be able to have this view in mind that my team mates like their work and they are capable of taking up and meeting the challenges. So, in that case, I take a participative approach and I try to support all my team mates throughout. However theories X will make m e think that the teammate do not like their work and they are demotivated. This will make me use my power over them and will make me have a negative approach. So, I personally try to go by the theory Y. This helps me to keep a positive approach over everything.

(use relevant theories and concepts to support your answer) As per my professional job role I often have to act as a team lead of many teams. There are so many conflicts that I often have to solve. This skill is very important because a leader is someone who has to have the proper approach. It is he who will have to solve many problems. I abide by the theory of Thomas Kilman Conflict. This has helped me to use the compromising and the collaborative approaches. By being collaborative I am able to make sure that I do not overlook any details of any issue. I always try to delve deep into each and every issue and make sure that I am looking into the needs of each and every team member around me. (use your self-assessment findings, feedback from peers and your tutor, plus your own reflections on your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to answer this question) There was one problem going on in the accounts section of my company. I was working as the accounts head and I saw that if this accounts problem is not solved then there will be a major loss for the company. No one was able to find out the problem. All were hurrying to solve the problem somehow. I decided that I will go to the in-depth of each and every problem and find out the use from the root cause. So, I hired an audit tea, and wanted to make sure that there is no hurry. I stayed back with them for nights and made sure that Each and every relevant data is being provided to them. I took a special permission from the company to give us some extra time to solve this issue. Finally after days of detailed examination, we could solve the issue and the problem in the accounts department was solved. My seniors were very happy with the level of assertiveness that I showed and the way I kept my patience, All my teammate and other employees were very happy as I did not overlook the interest of any of the employees. |

Conflict resolution is one of the most important aspects of any company. I will have to make sure that I am not overlooking the interests of any employee for the sake of others. |

There will be so many ups and downs and I will have to face many difficult challenges as well. This quality will help me to make sure that I have the proper mental setup to stand back and respond to the challenges. There will be many losses and defeats in the work and this quality will help me to stand up and prepare myself for the next move even after suffering from losses. |

There were also many other teams assigned for the same. It was a contest to see how the teams perform under pressure. However the employees who were under my team were very new and they did not know the systems properly. However they really worked hard but however we could not compete equally with all the other team as the members over there were much more experienced. However I did not let the mental set up of my team fall down after one such loss. I made sure to support them throughout. I also keep my morale strong. I knew that I cannot afford to lose all hope. I boosted up all my team mates and then made sure that they are receiving all the necessary training. I sat with them every day and learnt about any kinds of issues that they were suffering. I gave them all the possible training and with days of proper hard work we finally won the next contest. All my co workers and my team mates said that they were really helped a lot when I supported them and asked them not to lose faith. So, it is because of the constant mental support that I gave them which helped me to face this tough challenge without losing hope. |

As I am bit shy and introvert in speaking with people, many of them are often of the opinion that I will not be able to keep my strength or even support my team members in times of any defeat. However the scenario is not so. I need some time in mingling with people but once I am done with this I am with them openly and I make myself very approachable as well. |

This will help in making a smooth relationship between me and my peers or even my co workers. Each and every incident that takes place needs a proper follow up. I never like to keep any communication gap between me and my colleagues. I conducted one induction process of some newly appointed employees and also gave them some training. I was after that, I sent them feedback sheets where they could give their feedbacks and also talk about the doubts that they are having. They reported that this approach has been very helpful for them |

The only contradiction is that as an introvert and I am often restraining myself from speaking in the public front, many might think that I will not be keeping any follow up or maintain any feedback situation. However that is not so. After mingling with the people properly I can easily open up with them and then I maintain this system of giving and receiving feedback so that even if I am bit hesitant in speaking openly I can get the job done in writing. |

Communication is the key to success and will also help in removing all the obstruction that might be there. |

Weakness
I am often a shy person. I am introvert in nature and restrain from public speaking. This might make the teammates think that I follow the theory X. As per which, I never believe i the abilities of my teammates and try to force my power upon them.
