Advantages of online learning over traditional learning
No, I was not surprised after going through the general findings regarding the importance of online or blended learning in comparison with the traditional form of learning. The reason behind the fact is that according to my knowledge I have found that with the advancement in technology there has been a drastic change occurred in the field of education where the traditional form of learning become less important for the students in comparison with the online or blended learning (Mazoue, 2014). It can be seen that online education helps in providing flexibility for the students which is not provided by the traditional form of learning. Using the online method of learning, the students can manage both their working schedule followed by the learning courses (Heap, 2017). Moreover, after the analysis of the findings, I have realized that studying through online mode allows the students to enhance their skills of time management followed by the upgrading of self-motivation. My assumptions regarding the quality of online learning are that this kind of leaning need to have certain sensible, practical, and effective educational structure in combination with the development of educational programs and courses. In the research, it has been found that the quality online education results in integrating research-oriented institutional practices which are going to be applied within the online environment. For all these reasons I personally think that it is necessary for introducing online learning for the K-12.
According to my own research I have found that there are several positive effects are present regarding the value of online learning for the students. Primarily, I have found that the online learning provides various kinds of higher education courses for the students which they can study from home itself and accordingly they will also be getting reputed degrees after the completion of those online courses (Arkorful & Abaidoo, 2015). The online learning courses are much affordable as compared to the face to face learning courses. Moreover, the most important benefit of online education is that this form of learning is totally based upon the learner and he or she do not have to wait for attending the lectures of the teacher. If any student misses out some lecture then in the online mode of education that student can again learn about that course whenever he or she requires (Nguyen, 2015). One of the major detrimental effects of online learning is poor communication as the students are not getting the opportunity to communicate with the teachers.
Questions that are not answered by me are:
- List the type of practices which are linked with the development of efficient online education.
- Is the online education courses can be hacked by the cybersecurity hackers?
- Is it possible to implement online instruction within the face-to-face mode of learning for enhancing the method of online education?
Dear Whyte,
Thank you very much for the post. Yes, I agree with you about the fact that with the advancement of technology we also need to enhance our method of learning and need to replace the traditional learning with the online learning. Yes, I have also noticed that online education is providing great support to the educational system of the rural areas.
Dear Severinsen,
Thank you very much for the post. Yes, I agree with you about the fact that there is no teacher available in online learning who is going to instruct us for studying but on the other hand, this kind of online learning helps us to enhance our self-motivation and dedication towards study. We can learn more things apart from the courses in online education and this kind of education is best suitable for the students with busy working schedules.
