Why Is Recording and Remembering Important in Developing Social Media Sites?
1. Developing a social media site constitute of considering various aspects. Recording and remembering data or information is one of the aspects to be considered. In the present business scenario, advertising through social media is one of the most effective ways of marketing (Tuten and Solomon 2014). Recording information is important because social media advertising targets probable customers based on their previous posts regarding their experience. In developing the social media site, the main role of the informatics managers is to keep the track of the current trend of the target customers along with their experiences and expectations, which can be evaluated from their social posts. The more data to be recorded by the organizations, the more effective will be their offerings to their targeted customers through the social site. Recording and remembering the data enable the social media site to deliver personalized service to the customers (Bolton et al. 2013).
Social media site are being designed to deliver the highest possible customized service to the customers. User experience is the benchmarking tool of the effectiveness of a social media site. Designs of the site also determine its effectiveness to the customers (Al-Qeisi et al. 2014). It affects the attractiveness of the site. It is quite common that customers will be more attracted to a site which is more organized and tastefully designed. Hence, poor site design will attract a negative initial impression to the customers. Bad designs may have negative impact on the businesses. If the website designs do not match with the vision of the organization, then it will send a wrong message to the customers. Poorly designed sites cause difficulty for the customers due to broken links and unnecessary complexities. It will lead to the bad user experience and generation of negative word of mouth.
2. Several ERP implementations had been failed in recent past due to lack of coordination and effective communication among all the stakeholders of the organizations (Dwivedi et al. 2015). However, ERP solutions are the integral part of the contemporary organizations. Hence, ERP systems should be implemented in the organizations with a different approach. It should be taken in to consideration that, ERP solutions are being implemented to reduce the business complexities. However, it is been seen that, ERP systems which had been failed were being forced to fit in the organizations. Organizational structure or process should not be changed or tweaked for the ERP solutions, ERP systems should be modified according to the requirement of the organizations. Proper training to the employees should be given in order to promote effective implementation (Ha and Ahn 2014). Communications should be there among the internal organizational environment and with the ERP vendors. The functionality of the ERP solutions should be properly aligned with the organizational process in order to optimal utilization.
Implementation of ERP solutions incurs huge initial cost for the organizations. Thus, risks are being associated with it in case of its failure (Aloini, Dulmin and Mininno 2012). Some measures should be taken in order to reduce these risks. The executives should be fully comfortable with the ERP solution. If they are not comfortable with the systems, then it will be difficult to effectively implement. Thus, executive should understand the ERP system properly in order to aware the employees about its advantages. Determination of the budget is also important to reduce the associated risks. Organizations should have the proper planning before the implementation regarding the allocation of resources for every stage of implementing the systems. All the stakeholders should be properly aware about the functionality of the ERP systems. Allocating designated and experienced team to conduct the implementation is important for proper and effective implementation.
Effective Ways to Implement ERP Systems
3. Knowledge acquisition is the process of garnering end evaluating knowledge from the human resources which includes all the stakeholders of the organizations, in an organized pattern that can be used in the ERP systems. Knowledge acquisitions are being used in the developing the expert systems (Kidd 2012). Knowledge acquisitions help in enabling the organizations to collect the data regarding solutions for different problems and using it as in the artificial intelligence. In the present business scenario, most of the contemporary organizations are updating and communicating their information digitally. Thus, it is of immediate requirement that, informatics should be applied to organize and evaluate the digital information. Informatics is required to store and evaluate the data at the time of requirement.
Knowledge acquisitions have an important role in informatics for the organizations. The main objective of informatics is to enable the organizations in storing and evaluating the data whenever required. Here, knowledge acquisitions can help in obtaining the required data from the customers, employees and suppliers. The more diversified data that can be collected, the more will be its effectiveness in the informatics (Marcus 2013). Knowledge acquisition will help the organizations in having access to the requirement of the customers and offering the products accordingly. Competitor analysis can be promoted through knowledge acquisition in informatics. With the help of the knowledge management in informatics, organizations can retrieve the data regarding suppliers. Therefore, informatics enables the organizations in retrieving the stored data and knowledge acquisition in informatics helps in obtaining data from different stakeholders more effectively.
4. It is important for the informatics professional to understand the systems approach in order to effectively manage the informatics in the contemporary business organizations (Li et al. 2012). Traditional organizations comprise of less diversified departments and informatics had less alternate uses. However, contemporary business organizations consist of several departments working as sub-divisions. There may be several cases where same data can be used by different departments which lead to conflict of interests. It will be difficult for the informatics professional to follow traditional systems in the contemporary business organizations. It is due to the reasons that, traditional approach consist of specific informatics for respective departments. All the departments maintain their own informatics which is being customized according to their respective requirements.
Modern systems approach includes cloud computing (Jadeja and Modi 2012). It enables the organizations in having the access of all collected data for all the departments. In the modern system approach, there is no need of maintaining separate informatics for separate departments. Modern systems approach constitute of huge opportunities for the contemporary organizations. It helps the organizations to unify the quantitative and behavioral process in the management. Informatics professional should have the understanding of these traditional systems and approach of the systems to evaluate the system of process of informatics to be followed by the organizations. The type and nature of the data to be collected depends on the systems followed by the organizations. In the traditional systems approach, informatics professional will have to concentrate on managing the data for a particular department. The data should match the requirement of the department. However, for the modern approach, informatics professional have to consider the requirement of the entire organization. Requirements will be of more diversified in nature.
The Significance of Knowledge Acquisition in Informatics
It is the key responsibility of the informatics professional to store, retrieve and manage the data of the organization. However, it is important for them to get an understanding of the approach to be followed by the organizations. Gaining an understanding over this will help the informatics professional to manage the data more effectively and according the requirement of the organizations.

6. Implementation of ERP systems has several advantages for the contemporary business organizations. It helps in maintaining all the aspects of the organizations effectively and efficiently. However, implementation of ERP systems has different challenges also (Ahmad and Cuenca 2013). The first and main issue with the ERP systems is its high level of implementation cost. Organizations have to incur huge cost to implement the system along with the cost of implementation of the additional hardware required with it. Determining the effectiveness of the ERP system prior to its implementation is another challenge. It is difficult for the organizations to evaluate the effectiveness only by it past implementation. The output may vary in different situation. Implementation of ERP systems causes initiation of training programs for the employees. They should be properly trained to get accustomed with the system. It may cause extra burden on them which may reduce the efficiency of the employees.
Classic informatics refers to the use of pen and paper and other manual forms in maintaining the database (Khovanskaya et al 2013). It is more time consuming over the modern systems of ERP. However, the advantage of this system is that privacy can be maintained more effectively. Several employees are more comfortable in this medium rather than on the ERP systems.
7. Office 365 comprise of several disadvantages also for the organizations (Chong, Wong and Wang 2014). It is totally based on the internet. Thus, if the internet is inactive or down then this cloud based service will not work. Hence, internet should have to be available all the time. Office 365 is one of the latest software available in the market. Thus, the device which will be compatible with it should also be latest and updated. Existing hardware in the organization may have to be changed due to this.
It is being seen in the case that, Office 365 has favorable impact on the productivity of Qantas airlines. This ERP system is suitable for them because, Qantas is a large business organization with having huge capital. Thus, they can incur the cost associated with the implementation of this software. Moreover, Qantas have their employee and customer base around the world. Thus, they have the requirement of having a system like this, which will help them to communicate with all their stakeholders effectively (Schniederjans and Yadav 2013). Hence, implementation of Office 365 is suitable and will have more positive impact on their future.
