Research Aims and Objectives
In this research project, the main focus is to be drawn on the progress of Saudi Arabia Automobile industry in relation to the global world market analysis. As there is no doubt in this that transportation is vital to our well-being, since it helps us to travel about on a daily basis, Consequently, the emphasis of this research will be on improving Saudi Arabian automobile franchises as contrasted to the worldwide market (Alharbi and Boling, 2021). A big country in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia is home to a large number of franchised car brands. In 2021, Saudi Arabia was ranked as one of the top 25 countries in the world for the production of automobiles. Since 2020, the number of new automobile purchases has increased by 27 percent. Vison 2030 places a strong emphasis on infrastructure as well. This is essential to Saudi Arabia’s development and economic growth.
The main reason of conducting this research is to analyse the aspect of improvement of Saudi Arabian automobile franchises as contrasted to the global world market and this can be done by incorporating major focus upon effective research methods and approaches that helps in supporting the evidence and information demonstrated in Literature Analysis (Benyoussef and Hemrit, 2019). Moreover, the major focus is to be drawn upon the different automobile franchise established in Saudi Arabia to make the research effective and to compare the automobile aspects in an effective way.
In order to conduct this research, it is important to create some major research aims and objectives that needs to be accomplished in the form of literature review in an effective way. So, some of the main research aims and objectives are mentioned below:
(a) To analyse how can car manufacturers make vehicle service after sell mandatory in their terms & conditions for franchises.
(b) To depict the reason of why there is only one franchiser for each car manufacturer brand in Saudi Arabia.
(c) To demonstrate the advantages that car manufacturers and customers will get if they have more than one franchiser in Saudi Arabia.
In order to conduct this research, it is important to create some major research questions that needs to be addressed in the form of literature review in an effective way. So, some of the main research questions are mentioned below:
Question-(1) How can car manufacturers make vehicle service after sell mandatory in their terms & conditions for franchises?
Question-(2) Why there is only one franchiser for each car manufacturer brand in Saudi Arabia?
Question-(3) What advantages would car manufacturers and customers will get if they have more than one franchiser in Saudi Arabia?
When it comes to demonstrate the different terms and conditions for franchise and the variety of advantages that the car manufacturers and customers will get if they have more than one franchiser in relation to Saudi Arabia, then it has been depicted that it is important to analyse the different aspects of franchiser and finest distributors in Saudi Arabia. For that matter, In Saudi Arabia, Range Rover is among the finest distributors. Clients benefit from their expertise in the area of post-purchase services (Basri, 2020). They have regular, problem, and body shop services available to them. Customers who need to bring their vehicles in for servicing should make an appointment in order to ensure that they are taken care of and prevent unnecessary delays. Customers are often given automobiles while their vehicles are being serviced if it would take days to fix the problem if the necessary replacement parts are not available. They communicate with the UK staff online if they have a problem, they are unsure about. Each couple of months, the Range Rover Manufacturer sends a team from the United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates to train and test the engineers. Every six months, Range Rover’s headquarters in the United Kingdom conduct an audit. Employees, branch unique designs, how the automobiles are parked in the display room, and customer support are all audited by the company’s management. The cost of a Range Rover car in Saudi Arabia is comparable to the cost in other Gulf states and throughout the world (Alatawy, 2022).
Research Questions
In Saudi Arabia, United Company is the exclusive distributor of Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler. In Saudi Arabia, United Company is among the worst distributors. After the transaction, they provide poor customer service. Their engineers and technicians aren’t as qualified as they should be, and when a customer’s automobile needs anything, they seldom have it on hand or can get it only after ordering months in advance. When the people got a brand new Charger from “United Company” in 2019, they had an accident as from backside and the rear bomber was broken and the soundtrack muffler was struck, four months later (Park, 2019). Because United Company’s auto repair and body shop didn’t have the exhaust muffler in stock, it took several months to obtain one for my car, which I drove to the shop. After all that time, the catalytic exhaust they installed incorrectly continued triggering my engine light, and despite several visits to their shop, they would merely turn out the lights and declare everything was fine (Syed et.al., 2018).
Unskilled engineers and scientists, out-of-stock replacement parts, and lengthy repair times are common problems for United Company clients. After a service, United Company sends out questionnaires to clients, however they don’t do anything about customer complaints. For Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region, they only have one service department and one body shop.
Moving ahead, Customers in Saudi Arabia have a number of disputes with the majority of automobile franchises due of bad service. Many cars have been unable to operate for months as a result of this problem, yet their owners have no other option due to the numerous restrictions imposed by the manufacturers (Khan et.al., 2022). The results of this study will benefit both consumers and manufacturers alike. The modern consumer seeks for additional services while making a purchase since they are more aware of the laws.
Research philosophies aid in bringing the research issue to the attention of the public and achieving successful results. It is also possible to pick data gathering techniques, outcomes estimate, and other study aspects based on a certain philosophy. In order to conduct the study, the researchers used three different approaches: positivism, realism and interpretivism. Realist psychology is concerned with gathering data based on people’s beliefs and the truth of what they can see and touch. Positivism, on the other hand, lets researchers obtain knowledge based on measurements and experiences and enables them to use statistical analysis methods to choose relevant information (Song et.al., 2021). It is also an element of interpretive research to gather data via the analysis, experiences, viewpoints and understanding of participants’ communication of knowledge with researchers. In order to take part in the research. Using the interpretive paradigm research ideology, the researcher has selected to gather data from a targeted audience in order to get their hands on perceptions, understandings, and points of view about specific aspects, as well as to help them get access to authorized and categorised data for fixing and completing this assessment.
Research may be carried out in a variety of ways in order to fulfil the goals of the study and to provide useful outcomes. Methods include anything from in-depth interviews and in-depth surveys to focus groups, debates, observations, and questionnaires. Using secondary books and papers, the researcher was able to acquire the views, preconceptions, experiences, and skills of the interview participants in the most effective way possible, according to the findings of this study (Vebrianto et.al., 2020).

Research methodologies are selected depending on their relevance to the subject matter. Depending on the extent of the evaluation issue, a number of methods might be used. Research may be conducted in two ways: inductively or deductively. Hypotheses and acknowledgements are presented initially, and those are planned at the end of the study in an inductive research approach. The assessment of the inductive approach does not need a hypothesis, and no hypotheses are essential to begin the inquiry of the subject. Despite common notion, inductive and deductive reasoning are in fact diametrically opposing approaches to problem solving. It stresses the need of doing a thorough study and developing a hypothesis (Mackey, 2018). This method, but unlike inductive one, does not utilise a flexible strategy to conclude the study, and is commonly used to address a topic that has not been answered satisfactorily in earlier studies or there are no studies available on the particular research question. Using an inductive research technique, the study’s goal is met while the research challenges are resolved without turning to highly coordinated ways. There was no need to use hypothesis generating in a deductive research technique since the researcher relied on previous related research to carry out a desk-based investigation (Creswell and Hirose, 2019). As a result, both induction and conceptual research methods may be used to examine the statement vehicle franchises available in Saudi Arabia as compared to the global Market.
According to the findings, the researcher was able to accomplish success by combining qualitative and quantitative research approaches. Mixed research approaches were used to gather data in a variety of ways, avoiding the negative parts of data collection and analysis, so that the researcher could focus on methods that improved uniqueness and reliability of results. The subjective chapter also aims to gather non-numerical data and allow students to learn from data collected by other academics (Newman and Gough, 2020). Both qualitative and quantitaive methods were used by the researcher in order to make key points. On the other hand, quantitative research tools assist to focus on ideas, information, and facts that are scattered among statistical studies.
A multitude of approaches are used to acquire data from a wide range of sources. Clearly and concisely shows the relevance of the research results. Two of the most basic and crucial channels for data collecting are primary and secondary data collection. As the primary means of gathering data, the federation significantly depends on members’ contributions to keep it current and accurate. Surveys, interviews, questionnaires, experiments, and focus groups may all be used by researchers to collect primary data. Consent forms, compliance with different legal issues, previous concerns, pilot testing, etc. are all necessary to guarantee that the information collected from participants is secure as per privacy rules while using these methods. Secondary techniques assist in the collecting of current and prior research for further investigation (McCosker et.al., 2018). There are a broad variety of ways to gather information with this method. Using secondary research, the researcher wants to conduct a desk-based research study. In addition, secondary data collection isn’t any more difficult or costly than the initial method. Using secondary data collection methods, the researcher was able to collect information while using literature review sources obtained from Google scholar, company reports or publications, and data from various websites that provide details on companies involved in Saudi Arabia’s automobile market analysis and the strategies they have implemented in order to ensure that the desired results, relevant to rising share prices and growth, are achieved. Finally, the study will be able to gather important information on the research topic and provide deep insights into the subject matter of the research using both secondary and primary sources or approaches (Flynn and Korcuska, 2018).
United Company in Saudi Arabia
Each of these factors has a substantial impact on how researchers go about collecting and analysing their data. It is possible to analyse the study’s acquired data and information in a number of ways. There are many different ways for analysing the data that may be used in this investigation. Some of the more common ones include statistical approaches as well as descriptive and qualitative approaches, as well as textual methods. The researcher picked content analysis for this study’s research design and other ways to address the case study strategy used to explore the research issue in depth because of its capacity to identify systematic data in any sort of text, visual, spoken, or written (Matovi? and Ovesni, 2021). Content analysis may be used to a wide range of sources, including books, articles, speeches, and interviews. As a means of describing the conceptual knowledge about how to improve Saudi Arabia’s vehicle franchises compared to the global Market, researchers have used this technique intentionally to ensure that the intended outcomes of their study may be obtained.
Research data might be used to answer a new question that was not posed in the original study, which is called primary or secondary analysis. However, new technologies have made secondary use of research data more ethically problematic even if the basic ethical problems remain unchanged. It’s never been simpler or quicker to gather, store, and distribute data. New concerns about data privacy and security have arisen at the same time. Almost all of the issues about secondary use of data revolve on the potential damage to people and the matter of compensation for their consent. There is a range in the amount of identifying information in secondary data. Ethical review is not required if the data includes no personal information, is void of personal information, or has been adequately coded to prevent the researcher from obtaining the codes (Hafsa, 2019). The board’s approval is all that is needed. If the data includes participant identifying data or feedback that might be linked to participant personally identifiable information, the board will undertake a comprehensive review of the proposal. In order to answer the research question, the researcher must first identify the data and then explain why and how it is needed. Once these conditions are met, the researcher may next ask for a waiver of authorization.
Authorization for future use and analysis may be implied as long as data is freely accessible online or in books on the other hand, the ownership of the original data should be acknowledged. If the research is included of another study and the data isn’t publically accessible except to the original research team, you’ll need to get permission in writing from the original study team and include it in your ethical clearance application. However, the data utilised for secondary analysis does have some issues. Gathering information is critical, but it should not be overdone. It is common practise to utilise secondary data as a main source while doing secondary data analysis. As a consequence, data collection methods, accuracy, timelines, intended purpose, and data substance all need to be considered while evaluating the collected information (Stoecker and Avila, 2021). It is not permissible to keep it for longer than is necessary. Store it in a secure area to prevent unauthorised access, accidental loss, or destruction. Data should be kept in safe cabinets, while encrypted information should be kept on computers. Any further analysis they do on the data they have previously gathered must be appropriate. Because of this, these are some of the most significant areas that the researcher should focus on while examining the study issue.
Customer Disputes with Automobile Franchises in Saudi Arabia
4. Conclusion
Therefore, from the above discussion it has been concluded that analysing the market research and advantages of vehicle franchise will reveal that the quality of service provided by the majority of franchisees and how it is impacting their customers will be supported by this research. It is also possible to fix this problem by allowing additional franchisees for each carmaker.
