It is the country’s largest mobile phone and telecommunication company that manufactures and maintains “telecommunications networks and markets voice, mobile, internet access, pay television and other products and services”. It also provides the customers with several gadgets like mobile phones, tablets and other services. It is a privatized corporation looking forward to expand its business (Ramli, 2014).
The 3 hot topics of innovation in this organization include tablets, broadband connection and wireless chargers. The company is working on developing advanced systems collaborating with big companies that produce tablets (Bray, 2014). The company is providing high speed inter connectivity and for the tablets with plans that are pocket friendly and customizable. Broadband connection is being provided by the company through advanced dongles. The company is presently working towards developing advanced dongles that will be providing WI-FI access to multiple devices and will also be having multiple functions such as GPS and working without electric supply. The company is also endeavoring in manufacturing very advanced wireless chargers that will be working on multiple devises. These wireless chargers will be supporting many devises.
The idea of the innovative product developed for this purpose will be a devise that will be having both the feature of a wireless charger and a wifi dongle. The devise will be portable and will be having enough charge to run for 3 days without further charge. This devise will be aligned with the goals and portfolio management of this organization. This is because the organization already has goals to provide the people with highly advanced connectivity and new design of dongles. If this is connected with the wireless chargers then it will be very popular among the general public. Australian people are always looking for better innovations (Mackay & Weidlich, 2014)
The organization is currently capable of widespread R&D because of its large-scale business in the country. Being the largest organization that is providing mobile services in the country the organization is capable enough of investing a large amount of money in the R&D department of the company. The organization has many skilled employees who are working on different technologies. This workforce will be utilized in order to develop the new product. New employees will be hired from advanced and big tech companies from around the world.
