Project Deliverables and Scope
This proposal depicts the impportnace of benefits and purpose of using integrated project management practices and theories. EdMI is a Australia-based small to medium size company aided to deploy educational and gaming videos to commercial organziations and some primary and secondary schools. The sells target of the organization has been very limited these days. However, now the focus of the company is to grab a large market share and give tough competition to the existing companies. The EDMI company deploys the educational games and videos on DVD/blue ray. Now the company is focused to implement new media deployment solutions as part of the key business expansion (Rankovi?, 2019). The proposed project is known as EduStream. The proposed solution to be implemented will create a system that can utilizes similar arhitceture to Netflix. Before final execution of the project pilot structure will be developed. The purpose of the project si to deluver a user-frindly streaming solution to the clients. The pilot sites will be created in each city like Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.
The purpose of the project is to deliver a combination of data centre and a client side. The EdMI is not a technology dedicated company. The project manaher needs to engage more experienced conractor, coordnator to the project. In each node, the systems that are needed to be placed are- game server, open connect appliances, client database, system health management and web server (Taherdoost, 2018). EDMI should have the ability to manage the EduStream system developed. The other components, associated to the system are- batch updates, load sharing, network decurity system and DB replication. In the third tier of the layer the CDN nodes will be placed. The CDN of the system is positioned in the third tier. The expected system deliverables are-
- For educational games, a proper game serverwill be delivered that can act as a streaming engine
- A clinet side database is expected to be developed to store all confidential information
- The technical team should delibver a webserver with accurate sstem front end specification. The clients must be allowed to access the server
- The system must deliver hardware system that may store videos and are available through the developed system
- The project manager should ensure that, cell level encryption is there to prevent the system from unwanted access
The project scope is limited to education ganes and videos those are currently provided by thr organziations and there is not additional service providers in the new platform. The primary objective of the project is to develop a effective, user-friendly streaming solution that will allow the educational games and training to be deployed obver internet connection (Takagi & Varajão, 2019). The decision making board members have decided to begin the project with deployment of a content delivery network (CDN) nodes in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne. In order to design and deploy the system, ramnge of other elements are also needed to be prepared. for successful execution oif this project, a basic technical structure is needed to be prepared. The project is expeted to be initiated on 2nd March, 2022 and completed by 3rd June, 2023.
Project Stakeholders
The stakeholders are the mpst vital asset for any project. In order to implement a project as a successful one, it is vital to satisfy the stakeholders. Project stakeholders are categoroized into internal and external stakrholders (Demirkesen & Ozorhon, 2017). The power and interest of each of the stakeholder are different from other. The stakeholders related to the project are elaborated in the below section-
