Event Overview
An International Day of Clean and Green Environment event will be organised by the United Nations in New York on 15th October 2018. In this event all the major patrons along with socialites and environmental supporters will be present. The main purpose of the event shall be to raise awareness among each individual about the importance of green and healthy environment and shaping a better future for the human civilisation. The members along with distinctive volunteers will take the initiative of planting 1000 trees in the famous Central Park, Manhattan.
The volunteers that would be participating in this event are the interns and employees working in the United Nations headquarter New York. This event will be open to all the citizens of the city. The event will be an initiative to make the planet a better place to live in and to promote leading a clean and green environment lifestyle.
The event will be supported by many local business operators along with the media coverage from the leading television broadcasters and newspaper publication houses.
The pivotal mission of the United Nations organization is to raise the concerning issues of the global landscape and take active actions to come with a plan and execute it for the sake of solving the concerning issue (Un.org, 2018).
Now in recent times, it has been evident that global warming is one of the alarming concern affecting the entire world (Howe & Leiserowitz, 2013). Therefore in order to lessen its impact and take a step toward betterment, the United Nations are taking initiative to create awareness among each individual to promote clean and green environment that would lessen the impact of global warming.
The main goal of this International Day of Clean and Green Environment event is to create awareness among every individuals especially among the young generation about global warming and its alarming affects. To tackle this global concern and to make a planet a better place to live in the event will raise the importance of promoting green and clean society.
Objectives
- To promote green and clean environment among every individual.
- To raise the issue of global warming and its alarming affects upon the environment (McMichael, 2013).
- To execute action plan and educate the population in maintaining a clean and green lifestyle.
In order to achieve the first objective a heavy promotional plan will be executed for the event where the mission of the organisation and the main goal of the event will be executed. Social media advertisements, distribution of pamphlets in local areas of New York, hoardings and advertisements on news channel and newspapers will be executed (Moro, Rita & Vala, 2013).
Mission of the organization
The event will comprise a panel discussion where the major environmental spokesperson along with United Nations members will discuss the issue of global warming and the initiatives people can take to tackle them.
The various schools participating for the event along with the book stalls and other performances will help to disseminate the information of clean and green environment among local public and international viewers in an entertaining way.
The primary target audience of this event will the young generation that includes children, young adults and adults. Apart from this, the event will be intended to have an impact upon each and every individual of the world. Therefore, the media coverage will be playing a pivotal role in broadcasting this International event (Eastman, Ferguson & Klein, 2012).
- The event will be held on 15thOctober 2018 in the infamous location of Central Park, Manhattan. The event will start from 10 A.M. morning and will last till 6 P.M. evening. This main itinerary of the event will be the plantation of 1000 trees in the venue of Central Park. Following this programme, a one hour long skit performance focusing on the topic of clean and green environment will be conducted. Various local school students will be participating for this skit performance.
- The estimated period of time required to organise the event would be 39 days where all the phases of the event will be executed.
- Since, the venue chosen for this event have a vast space, therefore, there would be numerous stalls set up comprising of mainly book stalls, clothing stalls, food stalls and so on.
- All the money raised from this event will be contributed towards a project plan initiated by the United Nations in cleaning our damaged environment.
- A panel discussion will be held in the later half of the day where all the reputed members of United Nations, New York along with major socialites will discuss the topic of Clean and Green environment.
- The event will come to an end with a dance performance where all the participating schools will be performing.
An approximate budget of $50000000 is estimated for the promotion as well as the execution of this mega event.
Conclusion
The event will be able to successfully fulfil the organisations goals and objectives. The pivotal mission of the organisation shall also be fulfilled with the execution of this international event. With the inclusion of various platforms of media the event would be promoted as well as broadcasted on an international platform as well (Okazaki & Taylor, 2013). Therefore, the impact of the event and the goals and objectives of the event will be fulfilled successfully.

SUBJECT: Proposing a Public Relations Event (15th Annual Community Health & Wellness Expo)
Respected Sir,
The following PR event proposal draft have been constructed for utilising the calendar event of 15th Annual Community Health & Wellness Expo.
The 15th Annual Community Health & Wellness Expo shall be organised once again this year and it would be a great opportunity for us to explore the expo for the purpose of fulfilling the goals and objectives that UN Nations have set. The expo shall be conducted from Thursday to Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM. The event shall be inaugurated by the Mayor himself thus, it gives us a great opportunity to deliver an event that would suit the theme of this years which is “Serving US for a better tomorrow”. The event that we shall organise within the expo will feature the theme of Green and Clean Environment. There shall be a total number of five stalls, among them two stalls shall be dedicated for debriefing the event goals and objectives. While, two more stalls shall be promoting the significance of green environment. On the third day of the expo that would be Sunday a student project programme shall be organised where 7 local schools shall participate complying to the theme of clean and green environment.
The event shall be organised to fulfil the goal of promoting the alarming impact of global warming and diminishing its effect by constructing green environment.
The following objectives shall be attempted to achieve during the event –
- To raise awareness of global warming and raise the significance issue of it on an extensive level.
- To promote in spreading clean and green environment in the society for a better tomorrow.
- To give exposure to young talents of local schools with last days event organised by UN.
The target audience for this event shall be each and every individual that shall be attending the three days expo and also the viewers that shall be watching the expo live through television broadcasts and listening to it through radio broadcasts.
An estimated budget plan of about $150000 shall be organised in order to successfully execute the event.
Conclusion
The expo shall be a great opportunity for this event to be promoted on a dynamic level. The presence of media partners such as radio partners and television units will give a sufficient amount of exposure to the event that too without having to spend any money for promotion. The goals of the event appropriately co-relates with that of the expo’s theme henceforth, the event shall be complying by the expo’s theme as well.
