(2015), Smart City market has been estimated at hundreds of billion dollars by 2020. Implementation of IoT in Smart City has been creating benefits and factors affecting the standard of living of people in the society.
Structural Health of Building: The structural integrity measurements and checking vibration in the buildings outsources report of the building for re-construction (Zanella et al. 2014). The IoT devices including sensors help in understanding light impact of earthquake in the region. The Smart buildings are constructed with earthquake resistance method to minimize damage during an earthquake.
Waste Management: Waste management has been a major issue in modern cities in order to cost of services and problem of storing garbage in landfill. The use of the ICT devices has been helping in storing waste materials in proper place and recycling them for mitigating problems (AlEnezi, AlMeraj and Manuel 2018).
Smart Parking: The smart parking system has been based on sensors connected on roads that smartly detects vehicle over roads. The benefits deriving from smart parking might help in minimizing accidents (Khanna and Anand, 2016).
The urban IoT has proposed an IoT architecture that might help in providing a clear idea about the Smart City concept. The architecture is simple and clearly understandable. IoT domain has many standards that might help in setting several construction for Smart City. Various communication protocols including HTTP, IPv4 and IPv6 have helped in connecting several IoT devices in network. Various layers have been implemented in the architecture including Data, Application and Network. The XML language coding has been helping in maintaining coding in the IoT devices (Strohbach, Ziekow, Gazis and Akiva, 2015).
